Furnished and equipped to very high standards, they ensure a comfortable and pleasant holiday in this lovely part of the Highlands. This spacious house is furnished to a good standard and well-equipped to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. Whales, porpoises and dolphins are regularly seen from the shore, with the occasional pod of orcas. The house makes a perfect base for exploring this beautiful part of the Highlands. Visit the county town of Wick with its variety of town facilities, the Castle of Mey or visit the Orkney Islands, which are within easy reach. Cruinn stands beside natural woodland, and Moy is situated within a wooded glade and offers opportunities to watch deer from the windows or explore the seashore where seals and otters may be spotted playing. This secluded peninsula abounds with birds, flowers and wildlife, with seals, otters, deer and badgers. There are several sandy beaches and opportunities for walking, cycling, riding and boating. Ancient Castle Sween, Kilmartin Glen and the ruined chapels at Kilmory and Keills add archaeological interest. There are opportunities to view the beavers in Knapdale Forest or visit Taynuish Nature Reserve. Lochgilphead (16 miles) offers shops, restaurants, a golf course and an indoor swimming-pool, while a seafood meal can be enjoyed at picturesque Tayvallich or Crinan. Shops 16 miles.

This detached two storey holiday cottage is accessed via a short track in the pretty hamlet of Melness. Overlooking a superb sandy bay and surrounded by majestic mountain ranges, the cottage provides peace and tranquillity and is an ideal base from which to explore this wonderful and totally unspoilt region. The nearby village of Tongue enjoys spectacular views across the sea, with the mountains of Ben Hope and Ben Loyal in the distance. There is a slipway and harbour for small boats within a mile of the property. Horse riding is available at nearby Torrisdale sands. The area is renowned for its loch, river and sea fishing. The Townhouse offers spacious and comfortable accommodation in a residential area in Inverness, 3 minutes from the city centre and the River Ness, and 10 minutes from a delicatessen, chemist, bakery and newsagent in the Crown area. It is a few minutes’ walk from the railway and coach stations and a 30-minute drive from Dalcross Airport. This centrally heated house is decorated and furnished to a very good standard. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house, and a parking permit is provided for on road parking. Excellent restaurants and a variety of pubs are within easy walking distance, and Eden Court Theatre offers a wide and diverse programme of music, drama and cinema. The leisure centre, swimming pool and tennis courts are popular and adjacent to the scenic island district of Inverness.
Inverness makes a superb base for sampling many attractions in the Highlands. Good walking, golf courses, bike trails, Nairn beach, the delights of Loch Ness and the Caledonian Canal are within easy reach. Ullapool is around an hour’s drive away and the Isle of Skye is about 2 hours away by car, and slightly longer by train. The historically important Culloden battlefield, Cawdor Castle and Fort George are sights worth seeing, and the distilleries on the Whisky Trail make visitors welcome. Beach 16 miles. It is just a few minutes’ walk from an unspoilt sandy beach, and only 9 miles from the pretty village of Gairloch, where the nearest shops are to be found. The nearest pub/restaurant is at Badachro, 3 miles away, but the wider area has many coffee shops and restaurants, along with other places of interest. Within easy reach of Skye, Ullapool, Plockton, Eilean Donan Castle and Inverness for day trips, this part of Wester Ross is famous for dolphins, whales and seabirds, and the area has beautiful beaches as well as being a superb area for climbing and hill walking, with the dramatic Torridon mountain range as a backdrop. Horse riding is also available at Red Point (3 miles), and there is a nine-hole golf course in Gairloch. Fishing opportunities are located nearby.
