When the weather’s warm open the glass bi-fold doors from the kitchen and let that fresh air in! The five bedrooms are lovely and comfy and offer you and your group a lovely night’s sleep. There’s a master kingsize bedroom with en-suite facilities, as well as three further double rooms. There is then one room with a single day bed which can extend into a further single bed - which is great for children. The family bathroom has a luxurious roll top bath with a traditional shower attachment.
On summer days, when the weather is good, you’ll want to soak up the sunshine and sit and enjoy the large garden or hop into the hot tub for a relaxing soak. There’s a pizza oven and a gas barbecue to enjoy some al fresco dining, as well as the pretty lawned area where the children can play.
Take a walk around the village where you will find a small but well stocked village shop with a post office, a friendly community pub and a children’s playground which are only a 7-minute walk away. There are no direct bus routes in or out of the village, however, Newport (approximately 11 minutes’ drive away) and Market Drayton (approximately 11 minutes’ drive away) offer supermarkets, independent shops, cafés, bars, and restaurants to suit all tastes along with the weekly country market, monthly farmers’ market, canal walks and swimming pools/leisure centres, you have the ideal places to discover on your holiday.
Ironbridge, the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, (approximately 32 minutes’ drive away), has plenty to see and do for all the family. Shrewsbury (approximately 30 minutes’ drive away), where ’A Christmas Carol’ was filmed on location, is full of finds to be discovered by foot or by boat. The River Severn is a must, as is the café culture, the castle and the churches that dominate Shrewsbury’s famous skyline. For the more adventurous travel seekers there are various walks and outdoor activities in Shropshire including Hawkstone Follies, an unforgettable day out for all the family with hidden caves, gullies, secret passages and much more.

This terraced holiday property is one of the few remaining Georgian town houses situated in the market town of Cleobury Mortimer and provides an ideal base from which the explore the three counties of Shropshire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire. All local amenities including pubs, restaurants, takeaways and many individual shops such as grocers and butchers are on the doorstep. The property also has a small cottage garden to the rear where you can enjoy the peace and quiet away from the bustle of the town. Centrally located on the A4117 between Kidderminster and Ludlow. A visit to Ludlow with its castle and tudor historic centre is a must while sampling some of the renowned culinary delights. Visit Bewdley with the Severn Valley Railway and West Midlands Safari Park. For keen walkers a visit to nearby Clee Hill with its outstanding views from the top is a must, or perhaps venture slightly further afield over the border into Wales to take the challenge of Offa’s Dyke Path or Glyndw’rs Way. For a more leisurely drive and stroll why not visit the many pretty black and white villages which include Eardisland and Pembridge, both within easy reach. The cities of Hereford and Worcester provide an interesting day out with many National Trust properties and gardens along the way. The charming 300 year old Farmhouse is set within an enclosed garden on a working farm and is set close to the popular town of Knighton, which occupies a unique position, as part of the town is in Wales, and part in England – a truly unique character border town, within the town there is a wide range of independent bars, shops and restaurants to enjoy as well as takeaways should you wish to enjoy at the property. This is a great location with views of Offa’s Dyke and close to Glyndwr Way or exploring the beautiful Teme Valley.

Throughout the year, there are some lively faires celebrated, and all year round, you will find an array of antique and gift shops, tea rooms, old inns, good food and friendly locals. Local attractions include Offa’s Dyke Heritage Centre, Powys Observatory with Planetarium Show, golf, clay pigeon shooting and coarse fishing.

Gardens surround the property and there is a private seating area to the front taking in the lovely views over the owner’s own farmland where there are ponies and sheep grazing. There are walks directly from the door over the public footpaths that go through the yard and guests can walk for miles if they choose to.

Due to its special location, the tourist attractions of Shropshire and mid Wales are all within easy driving distances, so you can visit the likes of Clun with its castle, Ludlow, Church Stretton and Longmynd. Ironbridge Gorge, Shrewsbury and Bridgnorth make great day trips, and over the border into Wales, you can enjoy Welshpool with its steam engine, canal and Powys Castle. The market towns of Oswestry and Welshpool are within 15 minutes’, while Chester and Shrewsbury are just 30 minutes’ away by car, and all offer a large array of shops and restaurants for guests to enjoy.

The house is wonderful and remote, offering you plenty of peace and quiet, yet there are lots of country walks right from your doorstep, including the Rhydycroesau Woodlands and the Oswestry Old Racecourse Common Heritage Site to explore. Cynynion Uchaf has a homely and comfortable interior, with aspects of character showcasing the original beams, along with little touches of rural charm. You will love the comfy furnishings, hidden cupboards, and beautiful original red brick floors. A short drive takes you to National Trust houses at Chirk, Erddig, Attingham Park and Powis Castle.
Lake Vyrnwy, Snowdonia National Park and the Canal World Heritage Site at Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, near to Llangollen are also popular places to visit. The Roman City Chester provides a good day out, with city walls to walk, the oldest racecourse and the largest Roman Amphitheatre in Britain, a 1000-year-old Cathedral, plus the Zoo!
