Both bathrooms have been finished to the highest standard and offer luxury living. A hot tub can be hired (at a cost) with prior arrangement with the owner giving an extra feel of luxury to enjoy a little bit of R&R.


    Heading outside, the extremely large garden is mainly laid to lawn, with 2 wonderful seating areas to enjoy. There is space for all the family to play endless games while around the side is a lovely vegetable garden which guests are welcome to use, and a hot and cold dog wash is provided for your convenience. A beautiful river runs around the garden of the property and care has been taken to enclose the garden, but children and animals should be supervised at all times.


    Set between the cities of Bath and Wells, you will never tire of things to do while staying here! Bath with its fabulous architecture, riverside cafes, boutique shops and spas is a delightful day out, as is England’s smallest cathedral city of Wells with its outdoor market, cafés, and restaurants. Glastonbury is within easy reach with its ancient medieval charm and Tor, where you can see for miles and miles from the top. Head to Street’s designer outlet, Clarks Village, and grab a bargain.     The property is located within the Blackdown Hills - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the Somerset, Devon and Dorset border. There are some beautiful walks in the area, and a Covid-19 secure country public house less than ½ mile away, as well as an Italian restaurant ½ mile in the other direction.
    It is set between the market town of Chard, with its shops and museums, and the larger county town of Taunton with its bustling shopping centre, restaurants, bars and entertainment facilities. There are many tourist attractions to visit, from woodland walks to National Trust estates such as Barrington Court and Montacute House. The Quantocks and Exmoor National Park are within easy driving, and for a trip back in time, travel from Taunton along the West Somerset Steam Railway to Minehead.

Each of these thoughtfully designed studios offer an open plan living experience, with the kitchenettes having full size induction hobs, electric ovens, fridges and breakfast bars. The main living area has a double bed, smart TV and shower room. Each studio offers stunning views towards Cheddar Reservoir, Glastonbury Tor and across Somerset. They have been decorated beautifully to give each an individual finish. Orchard View (UK34417) and Meadow View (UK34416) are both set on the ground floor and are dog friendly, each offering direct access to the walled garden with seating areas. Beyond this is our apple and pear orchard which allows for additional places to enjoy the sunshine. We have 3 friendly dogs of our own (2 black labs and a labradoodle) and as the large lower garden is shared, we may not be the ideal location for nervous or reactive dogs. Tor View (UK34415) and Lake View (UK34414) are both first floor studios and also have access to the garden via a shared walkway. Seating to the front of the studios under an established cherry blossom tree is also available. Orchard View and Lake View have an interconnecting door via an internal staircase meaning these can be booked together for a party of 4 people.
    These wonderful apartments are set in a magnificent location, just a stone’s throw from the Mendip Hills, popular with walkers. Access to the Mendips is within 2-3 minutes’ walk from the property. Cheddar town centre, famous for its cheese making, and Cheddar Gorge are all within easy walking distance as well as a myriad of local pubs (5-7 minutes’ walk), restaurants and shops. You have the option to leave the car alone for your trip and explore the area on foot or cycle if you wish – the Strawberry line cycle path is again just 2-3 minutes away and allows you to ride to The Railway Inn adjacent to the home of Thatchers Cider and owned by the family.
