Coachmans Close is a wonderful cottage in the heart of the quintessential countryside in the village of Milverton. The beautiful cottage is set on a secluded road, all on one level making it perfect for families of all ages. As you enter the driveway the cottage hugs the courtyard and private garden in an L shape. Through the front door to the hallway you have the living room to your left with its parquet flooring and open fire. From here you will find the fully-equipped kitchen benefitting from a Nespresso Coffe Machine (please note guests will need to bring their own pods), with wonderful views across the fields. One of the double bedrooms has views of the courtyard and a gorgeous shower room adjacent with a large walk-in shower with a fabulous rainfall shower head. The master bedroom has French doors which open onto the courtyard. Outside the courtyard has a seating area and the winding path leads to the lawned garden and views over the fields and hills ahead. To the side of the cottage, there is a veranda which is the perfect spot to watch the sunset from and views of the countryside. There are walks in every direction directly from the front door.
Milverton has a shop full of local produce and everything you need, as well as one gastro pub, both just a few minutes walk from the property. Further afield you have the market town of Taunton with its larger stores, restaurants and entertainment facilities such as cinema and bowling alley. For a fun day out why not spend the day riding the rails on the West Somerset Steam Railway from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead, spend a couple of hours by the sea before a leisurely chug back to base. Exmoor National Park is reachable in under 20 minutes’ drive with its miles and miles of walks, perfect for a day’s rambling. Beach 16 miles. Shop 350 yards, pub and restaurant 700 yards.

Daisy Cottage at Manor Farm is a well-equipped cottage, set in an area of natural beauty in North Somerset. This smart barn redevelopment is set on a farm within the delightful fringe of the Mendip Hills, just 5 miles from the promenade, pier, sandy beach and SeaQuarium of Weston-super-Mare. Make sure you pack your walking boots, make a picnic and explore the stunning surroundings.
Daisy Cottage has cosy accommodation for two, including a fully equipped kitchen, a walk-in shower, a wood burner and a super kingsize bed which can be single beds on request. Children cannot stay at Daisy Cottage, apart from babies aged 9 months and under, for which a travel cot and highchair can be provided.
Within easy reach of Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Wookey Hole, Wells with its magnificent cathedral, the renowned Clarks Village shopping outlet at Street and National Trust properties at Clevedon Court, Tyntesfield and Montacute House. Splendid walks and cycle trails, and nearby Chew Valley Lakes is a modern reservoir and a mecca for birdwatchers and fishermen. Further afield are Exmoor National Park, the re-developed docklands and shopping of Bristol, and the memorable regency architecture of Bath. Beach 5 miles. Wagtails is a luxurious property, totally dog-focused and ideal for families or couples, located just outside the village of Langford Budville. Set between woodland and open countryside with panoramic views of the Blackdown Hills in the lovely vale of Taunton Deane on the Somerset/Devon border.
This wonderful property is warm, spacious and homely, furnished and decorated to a high standard throughout, with everything you would need for your doggy holiday. There is a utility room and an adjacent outside hot doggy shower, equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer, throws (for use on sofas and chairs), towels, poo bags, treats and toys. The living room has comfy seating for you and your dogs, an electric fire and a 50" Smart TV. The kitchen is well-equipped, and there is a freezer that can be used for raw food.
Outside, the humans can relax in the private hot tub, even in the winter months, or in the large double-ended bath. For the younger guests, there is a cot, highchair and stairgate available. There is a den room with toys and books, and a shared park close by with swings and slides. Wagtails provides everything you would need for your dogs and the family. The garden is well-fenced and has a large patio area with seating, a coal barbecue and a food serving area. The garden is private with views over the open countryside. The hot tub area also has seating and plastic glasses are supplied so you can sip sundowners whilst in the hot tub on summer evenings.
Adjoining a 200-acre nature reserve, offering beautiful country walks from the doorstep and further afield on the Blackdowns, Quantocks and Exmoor. A walking guide and a list of dog-friendly pubs can be found in the cottage. A dog-friendly café is a 5-minute walk up the track, serving freshly baked cakes, cream teas and tasty light lunches. The dog-friendly village pub is a 10-minute walk and offers real ales, open fires and good food.
Nearby places to discover include The Blackdown Hills with the recently restored monument, the town of Wellington with lots of independent cafés and shops, as well as Exmoor National Park. Minehead and North Devon, with sandy beaches, are within easy reach. Taunton is within 10 miles, and the city of Exeter is approximately 22 miles, brimming with history and heritage, and it offers many visitor attractions to keep you entertained for hours on end. Outside you have two private parking spaces, a private garden with outdoor seating area and also access to the owners 6-acre estate and gardens, you could spend hours strolling round these admiring all the beautiful flowers no matter the season. The Gatehouse is the perfect base from which to explore the area, with Wells centre and its Cathedral just a short stroll away, meaning you are surrounded by shops and restaurants all easily reached without touching the car! Further afield you have the Vale of Avalon, Glastonbury with its quirky shops and ancient Tor, head to Wookey Hole Caves and try to spot the Wookey Witch or over to Cheddar with its famous gorge. The beautiful larger city of Bath is reached in around 45 minutes and is a wonderful spot to spend the day, stroll along the river, shop in one of the boutiques or head to the amazing thermal spa for a pamper treat!
