Come and discover the delights of Y Bwthyn, situated on the edge of Blaenwaun a picturesque hamlet, close to the borders of Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. Part of Anfodd Countryside Retreats, it is set amongst the rolling meadows and enjoys far reaching views over the owners 6-acre smallholding. The property boasts its very own hot tub where you can relax after a busy day exploring the area and watch the plethora of amazing stars above.

Pendine Sands offers 6 miles of sandy beach and the famous coastal resort of Tenby is a 40-minute drive away. Oakwood, Wales’s largest theme park, and Folly Farm Zoo are all within 40-minute drive as well. Y Bwthyn is centrally located for local attractions including Cardigan Bay in 30 minutes, and Pembrokeshire Coast and Carmarthen Bay are both 25 minutes away. The property comprises of a living room with a cosy wood burner and Smart TV, leading onto the dining room which looks out over the bay. The kitchen is well equipped and leads to the back garden. There is a second living room with a TV and double sofa bed. The bathroom has been renovated to a high standard and on the first floor is the master bedroom with views over the harbour, there is a great little window seat in this room. The second bedroom is a twin bedroom and again has views over the harbour.
This beautiful cottage has been renovated to a high standard throughout, the property overlooks the harbour of Burry Port, an ideal location to explore the area. Pembrey Country Park is a short distance from the property and a great day out for the family, there is also a dry ski slope here and toboggan run! The Gower Peninsula is approximately 20 miles from the property and Rhossilli Bay and Worms Head are a fantastic day out, walk out to Worms Head and you can see for miles, look out for the seals and the giant jellyfish that can be seen from the cliffs.
For those looking for some history, Kidwelly Castle is 5 miles from the property. There is an award winning golf course for those enthusiasts just 4 miles from the property, or walk across to the harbour and enjoy a light snack and drink in the local restaurant. You can also walk to the lighthouse, there are some lovely views to be had from here. For the cyclists in the group, why not make use of the miles of traffic-free cycle track that runs along the coastline and is literally on the doorstep. Beach 350 yards. This eco-conscious property consists of an open-plan living space with spacious kitchen-diner and island complete with beautiful oak ridge lantern from which you can look up and view the stars. Kitchen is well equipped and also has a dining table. Step down two steps into the living room with its with Smart TV, unlimited Wi-Fi and Netflix and double sofa bed with deluxe mattress. Please note if sleeping in the living area there are no blinds over the roof lantern in adjacent kitchen-diner, therefore light will come through in the early morning however it’s just perfect for lying in bed and stargazing in the world renowned Brecon Beacons Dark Sky Reserve. From the living area there are French doors leading on to the slate patio area of the garden. The boot/utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine. There is also a separate shower room with walk-in shower and heated towel rail. There are two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and Smart TV, and a twin room, both with their own en-suite bathrooms.

The outside space is just fabulous, with a large slate patio complete with luxury outdoor furniture overlooking Llandeilo and the River Towy and an enclosed grassed area. Up to two friendly dogs are welcome at the property, but please be aware that there are sheep and cows grazing opposite the property so it may be wise keeping them on a lead when not in your enclosed garden. There is off road parking which can be found at the side of the property.

The heart of Llandeilo is on your doorstep and the town holds various events throughout the year, including a music festival, jazz festival and the unique Festival of Senses in November. On the edge of the town why not visit the lovely National Trust Dinefwr Park and Gothic Newton House? A short but energetic walk across the famous King’s bridge and up the hill into the town which is renowned for its award-winning chocolate shop, gin bar, boutique shopping and elegant restaurants. Carmarthenshire is abundant with historical monuments, wonders of nature and fantastic beaches. Travel over breathtaking mountains and lose yourself in the solitude of the vast countryside. Within a few miles you can enjoy days out at Aberglasney House and Gardens and the National Botanical Gardens of Wales, with the largest single span glasshouse in the world.

Nestled within the picturesque Gwendraeth Valley and once the hub of the farm, this stone farmhouse has been lovingly furnished and offers the perfect base from which to explore Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and the Gower. Take a short walk to the local pub and restaurant for some local ales and home cooked food, or why not dine al fresco with a family barbecue? Cefn Sidan beach, Kidwelly Castle, the National Botanical Gardens of Wales and Ffoss Las racecourse are within 30 minutes’ drive.
Ty Celyn Farmhouse really does offer a fantastic level of comfort throughout, with a spacious living room and wood burner for cosy nights in with a good movie. Pembrey Country Park is great for all ages and is fantastic for families and walkers alike, complete with 500-acres of woodland, a dry ski slope, toboggan run and the picture postcard Cefn Sidan sands, covering 8 miles of golden beach. The historic town of Kidwelly is a 10-minute drive away and is home to one of the finest preserved Norman Castles in Wales. The Llanelli Wetland Centre is a must see, where you can hand feed rare breed geese, go bug hunting, see flamingos and enjoy birdwatching from hides. From Llanelli you can also hire bicycles and take a spin along the Millennium Coastal cycle path, meandering along some epic coastline. Beach 7 miles. Shop 8 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Here you can hire bikes or take a stroll from Llanelli, through Burry Port, Kidwelly and onto Ferryside taking in the Carmarthen Bay with lots of bird life and some stunning coves and beaches. This semi-detached cottage really does offer the perfect location to explore this wonderful area of Carmarthenshire. Close by, your family can enjoy the delights of Pembrey Country Park with 8 miles of golden sands of Cefn Siden beach, dry ski slope and acres of woodlands to explore.
Ty Lewis Cottage was once the family home and has been finished to an excellent standard with a spacious well-equipped kitchen with exposed stone walls and beams. This leads through to the warm and cosy living room, again retaining lots of character with exposed stone walls, beams, log burner and shutters. The bright and airy dining room is perfect for enjoying formal meals together with your friends and family. It is furnished with a large dining table, bookcase and a variety of books and games to enjoy with the whole family.
On the first floor, each bedroom has been designed with comfort in mind and decorated lovingly throughout. The master suite boasts en-suite Jack and Jill facilities with bedroom two, and high quality linen make for the perfect night’s sleep. On those balmy summer days, enjoy some relaxation time with a good book by the fishpond, in this impeccably kept enclosed garden with a vast array of plants in bloom, and even a summer house complete, with a children‘s multi-games table, ideal for a competition.
Burry Port is also 5 minutes away where you can admire the famous lighthouse, which dates back to 1842. It has become part of the landscape and is admired and photographed by so many. On the harbourside you can enjoy some refreshments in the café and take in the boats coming and going.
The cottage is located approximately 10 minutes from both Ashburnham and Machynys Golf Club, which is a Jack Nicklaus designed course and offers a spa and restaurant. Don’t miss the coastal resort of Tenby, a 50-minute drive away which offers the perfect day out. Folly Farm Zoo and Heatherton World of Adventure are both close by and great for all ages.
