Aberporth is 5 minutes’ drive away and offers pubs, cafés and two stunning beaches, it’s the perfect destination to explore the three counties of west Wales being centrally located to Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, and Ceredigion. Travel south to the traditional market town of Cardigan, here the beautifully restored castle is not to be missed with 900 years of history to uncover. Enjoy a short walk into the village to discover the traditional Welsh pub or a freshly brewed coffee in the village café. There’s so much to explore in Cardigan Bay but if you want a day out to Pembrokeshire you can reach the well-known family attractions of Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo within an hour’s drive. This traditional cottage is bursting with charm and character with original wooden beams, exposed Welsh slate walls, stable doors, vaulted ceilings and wooden floor. As you enter through the stable doors you will immerse yourself in the delights of this fantastic property, the large open plan kitchen and living area is a great social space and finished to a high standard throughout. Set near the small hamlet of Ponthirwaun and close to the historic market town of Cardigan and Newcastle Emlyn, where you can find a plethora of restaurants, shops and a theatre. A visit to Cenarth Falls really is not to be missed and around a 5-minute drive, if timed well, you can see the salmon leaping up the falls which really is a fantastic sight. Nearby is the Welsh Wildlife Centre in Cilgerran, which runs along the banks of the River Teifi, made famous for coracle fishing.
