Renovated to perfection without losing its Edwardian personality. Painted throughout in pale grey and white making a perfect backdrop for the textures and fabrics. The matt pale grey furnishings give a Scandinavian undertone which enhances the warmth of the muted aquamarine, yellow and blue cushions and throws. The cosy and comfortable living room has deep leather couches and vibrant pictures of the locality. Enjoy fun and laughter over long indulgent meals in the cosy dining room with the fire crackling in the wood burner. The dining room opens out onto the large white kitchen, convenient for keeping an eye on the designated chef! An extremely well-equipped kitchen with plenty of worktop areas to please the most discerning gourmet cook, this spacious room is flooded with light from the floor to ceiling patio doors which lead out into the garden. Just off the kitchen is the cloakroom which has a special dog shower to wash off muddy little paws after a busy day in the sand.

Admire the views from east to west and see the remains of Iron Age forts, and on quiet days look out for curious little seals coming close to shore to watch any activity. Only a short drive to the Llyn hot spot of Abersoch the playground of ’the Cheshire set’ and right at the end of the peninsula Aberdaron the whitewashed little village with its rocky clifftops and heather covered hilltops. A getaway from it all destination for family and friend to enjoy in a unique unspoilt part of North Wales.

At just 2 miles distance Bala offers a range of activities. The National White Water Centre is close by, where you can experience the thrill of rafting or canyoning, the shores of Bala Lake, with plenty of scenic walks, also a popular area for avid kayakers and paddle boarders. Take a trip on a steam train on the narrow-gauge railway along the lake shore between Bala and Llanuwchllyn, have a day at the beach over on the coast at Barmouth, or try some Welsh foodie delights at the award-winning Rhug Estate Organic Farm Shop at Corwen. Further afield in Blaenau Ffestiniog is the incredible Bounce Below where the whole family can try bouncing on trampoline nets deep underground in an old slate cavern, and Zip World, the largest zip wire zone in the world where you can fly high over the quarries whilst enjoying the spectacular view.
You may wish to visit the local Castles includinf Harlech, Cardochan and Dolwyddelan, or Roman fort at Caer Gai. The Beautiful Caerau Ichaf Gardens are very close to Bala and the famous Erddig Gardens is only a short drive away. You could also take a trip on the steam railway at Fairbourne Miniature Railway, or Festiniog originally The Gravity Railway and Snowdon Mountain Railway. One of the most popular tourist attractions in North Wales is Portmeirion, the Italianate village is also worth a visit. Abandoned mines can be found nearby in Carros, Llechwedd Slate Caverns in Blaenau Ffestiniog or Sygun Copper Mind in Beddgelert.

Once inside you’re greeted by a very spacious open plan living space, there’s a quality leather corner sofa with oodles of space for all the family to relax and chat about the day. The two bedrooms have been furnished to a high standard to ensure you have a restful nights sleep, with quality mattresses and bedding, and one has its own en-suite toilet with sink.
Here you’re really in the heart of all North Wales has to offer, with lakes, coastal paths, Snowdonia and popular tourist towns all within easy reach. Dinas Dinlle beach is in walking distance from the lodge, with wonderful views across the bay to the Llyn Peninsula and Anglesey. Caernarfon Castle, an imposing UNESCO World Heritage site, is under 8 miles and where Prince Charles took his investiture. Venture just a little further and you have Pwllheli, Criccieth and Porthmadog, home to the Welsh Highland Railway. There’s something for all ages in this diverse region and it would certainly be a break to remember. Beach ½ mile.

Walking distance or a few minutes in the car and you’ll find the delightful fishing village of Aberdaron, with lovely cafés, pubs and local shops, it’s a perfect location for year round breaks. The nearest cafe is a 5 minute walk away. There are many unspoilt beaches to be found in the region, where seals and dolphins can sometimes be spotted a must visit just down the road under a mile distance is Whistling Sands known locally as Porthor.
Lively Abersoch is a short drive away. You are also within easy reach of Porthmadog home to the Welsh Highland Railway, Criccieth and Harlech are also only a short drive away where you’ll find the historic Castles of the area. Explore the coastline using the Cambrian Coast railway line, visit Porthmadog, home to the famous Ffestiniog Railway, or nearby Portmeirion, whilst the quarry town of Blaenau Ffestiniog now has plenty to attract visitors with Zipworld and Bounce Below providing thrills for all the family.
