New Inn House is also ideal for visiting Cheltenham, and the Gustav Holst Museum, Evesham – reputedly Lady Godiva’s site of burial, and Tewkesbury.
    In addition to the many historic Cotswold villages and towns, the surrounding countryside is excellent terrain for walking; a climb to the summit of the Worcestershire Beacons affords marvellous views of lush green Hereford and the flat expanses of the Severn Valley. It is a listed building and sits on the edge on the village conservation area. This self-catering accommodation comprises a dedicated access to a well fitted kitchen incorporating everything you. Up the oak staircase brings you into the combined bedroom, sitting room and dining area which has been well designed with the guests comfort in mind. The fabulous bathroom offers ambient lighting so you can relax and unwind in the free standing bathtub after a day’s sightseeing.     The village of Fenny Compton, which is just a few miles north of the market town of Banbury, enjoys a friendly pub serving good food and a local shop for all your essentials. More comprehensive local amenities can be found in the local market towns of Banbury or Southam. The property is well situated to allow visitors to take advantage of the many local circular walks including routes along the Oxford Canal where you can enjoy watching the narrowboats sail by and lovely walks along the tow path and to Burton Dassett Hills country park where you can enjoy a picnic or even flying a kite.
    Trips to Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick and Leamington Spa are great towns to explore during your stay and there is easy access to the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where you can meander through country roads stopping off at picturesque points and country pubs along the way. The National Trust property of Farnborough Hall is just over 2½ miles away and opens a couple of days a week during the summer months. Warwick with its famous castle is just 12 miles away or a little further is Shakespeare’s Stratford Upon Avon (23 miles), where you can enjoy a full day out exploring the historic town, taking a trip down the river, seeing a play at the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre or finding out more about the Bard’s life as his birthplace is in the centre of the town. Just a half-hour drive will take you into the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where you can meander through country roads stopping off at picturesque points and country pubs along the way.
