About this property

Bude 1.4 miles. Sitting on the outskirts of Bude is this detached, romantic cottage in Cornwall, Abalone. This charming little cottage has everything a couple needs for a relaxing getaway in the countryside, whilst providing easy access to the coast. After parking in the off-road parking space, step inside to find a bright and airy open-plan living space. The kitchen area is well-equipped for whipping up romantic dinners and beach picnics, complete with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, and coffee machine. There's plenty of space for four to gather around the dining table, whilst your private garden offers a sunny spot with a barbecue to dine al fresco. After busy days exploring your beautiful surroundings, relax in the sitting area with cushioned sofas and a wall-mounted TV, before washing off the day in the shower room with a heated towel rail and spacious walk-in shower. The double bedroom has a nautical theme, storage space, and another TV for those lazy mornings in bed before heading out on another adventure. Abalone is a lovely retreat for two guests to get away from it all.

The rolling waves are great for surfing year-round, and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the North Cornwall coastal path let you explore the outstanding countryside. Bude has a golf course, indoor pool, bowling alley/indoor play area, and Castle Heritage Centre. It has shops, supermarkets, cafes, pubs, restaurants, and an excellent Information Centre. Warbstow Bury, a hill fort with panoramic views, is a short drive away. Take the coast road north to see the Hartland Point lighthouse or walk or ride a donkey down Clovelly's steep, cobbled village street to the harbour and pub below. Crackington Haven, Boscastle, King Arthur's castle at Tintagel, Doc Martin's Port Wenn at Port Isaac, and Polzeath are along the opposite coast.
