It is nestled midway between Lorton and Cockermouth, both 3 miles away, and is 9 miles west of Keswick. Lovers of wildlife may spot red squirrels, badgers, deer, foxes, owls or herons. The western lakes of Loweswater, Crummock Water, Buttermere and Ennerdale are only a short drive away.
