The town of Dulverton rests on the edge of the Exmoor National Park and hosts a selection of independent shops and supermarkets for all manner of amenities, as well as some pubs and restaurants if you don't fancy cooking one evening. Exmoor National Park is home to a number of fascinating trails for walking, hiking or cycling opportunities and the area is recognised for its abundance of wildlife, including deer, otters, bats and dormice. Tarr Steps, a medieval stone clapper bridge across the River Barle located 4 miles from Dulverton, is well worth a visit.
