Either side of the village there are two towns, Crewkerne and Ilminster, which are both filled with supermarkets, high street shops and independent stores. Also, just a short drive away is the larger town of Yeovil which is home to a cinema, a golf course and a country park, as well as the nearby 16th century National Trust Montacute House with formal gardens.
