Venture into the center of Dinas Cross where you'll find a handy petrol station and convenience store where you can pick up any forgotten essentials for your staycation, along with a traditional village pub, The Ship Aground, where you can indulge in a bite to eat in a welcoming atmosphere, cosying up around the homely log fire. Explore the picturesque delights of the nearby area and head to Dyffryn Fernant Garden, where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll through six acres of breath-taking varied landscape, including a bog garden and a fernery. The world renowned Ffald y Brenin Christian retreat is just a further 10 minutes’ drive. Head to the coast and spend the day at Pwllgwaelod Beach, a small cove decorated with a mixture of sand and shingle, enveloped by towering cliffs and boasting panoramic views across the stunning coastline. Ideal parking for a coastal walk around Dinas Island to the quaint village of Cwm yr Eglwys. Return to the Sailor Safety pub at Pellgwaelod for a well-deserved fresh lobster meal. Travel further afield to the nearby town of Fishguard, home to a selection of shops and eateries, as well as a host of sights and attractions worth visiting, including Fishguard Fort, dating back to the 18th century and the marine wildlife exhibitions on display at The Ocean Lab.
