Centrally located, the neighbouring village of Bamford is just over 1 mile away, Hope 3 miles and then the beautiful honeypot village of Castleton is just under 5 miles away. The fascinating plague village of Eyam is around a 15 minute drive; Bakewell and Chatsworth House are around 20 minutes away. Hathersage, Bamford and Hope all have their own train stations connecting you to the bright lights of Sheffield and Manchester. An area popular with lovers of the great outdoors, you’ll find ample walking, cycling and climbing available. Stanage and Burbage Edge are both nearby and reward you with superb views of the Dark Peak moorlands. Take a stroll along the river bank to feed the ducks and geese, and see the ‘love locks’ on the foot bridge.

You could also visit the many stately homes in the area, including iconic Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall, or take a trip to the World Heritage Site of the Richard Arkwright Mills in Cromford.
