The living room is split into two areas, has super comfy, large sofas to sink into while you kick back and watch your favourite programmes on the Smart TV, plus a quiet area for reading the latest novel or perhaps playing a board game or two.


    There is a spacious, stylish family bathroom and three sumptuous bedrooms. All have quality towels and bed linen, built in wardrobes and quite incredible sea views. The largest has a majestic kingsize bed, followed by a delightful room with glorious double bed and a cosy single room. Outside, your private garden wraps around the house and boasts gated access via steps to the quiet part of Duporth Beach, a very special feature, perfect for a beachside walk, with the waves gently lapping the shore. The access path and steps are steep, so may not be suitable for those with restricted mobility, however the area has many beaches with easier access.


    Venture away from this gorgeous haven and the area will delight in every direction. Just 5 minutes’ walk away, discover Charlestown, a bustling fishing village and harbour full of interesting shops, cosmopolitan cafes, amazing restaurants, and bars. Enjoy an afternoon shopping in St Austell, from where there are superb train links. The world-famous Eden Project, with its huge biomes above the world’s largest indoor rainforest is a must visit, whilst the magic of over 200 acres of ancient gardens can be explored in the Lost Gardens of Heligan. The atmospheric Bodmin Moor is just 30 minutes away, with its ancient tors, mystifying stone structures and spectacular views.     Situated adjacent to Wheal Martyn Clay Works and Museum, you are transported back through time, instantly leaving the hustle and bustle of daily life behind you. From here you can explore St Austell with its many shops and amenities, or wonder along golden beaches, with hidden coves and inlets linked to smugglers past! The world-renowned Eden Project, with its unique world beneath huge Biomes, is just a short drive away, whilst Luxulyan Country Valley Park, a world UNESCO site gives many glimpses into the once huge mining heritage. Visit Charlestown, where many films and TV series are made, owing to it’s original quay and association with Tall Ships. Here a museum, superb restaurants and pubs make for a fabulous day out.     The village of Nanpean, translated from the Cornish meaning ‘little valley’, is just 4 miles from the town of St Austell and is steeped in history. The historical village port of Charlestown is 7 miles away and has been the setting of many films and the popular series of Poldark, due to it’s originality and authentic tall ships. There is a fascinating Shipwreck Museum here along with pubs and restaurants. The Clay Trails offer wonderful walks and cycling paths and an insight into the once huge industry of clay mining which was a major part of the economy for the area. The scenery is quite stunning here. There is a lovely short walk which begins next to the cottage and takes you down through woodland and on past the football pitch, itself for public use.
    The buzzing town of Newquay, famed for its water sport activities, restaurants, bars and beaches is a lively place and sits just 11 miles away. This location is also perfect for exploring the harbour towns and villages to the east, including beautiful Fowey, with its narrow streets and ancient natural harbour. Polperro, famous for smuggling connections in times gone by, is a ‘must visit’, whilst Looe, with its hills looking down to the delightful harbour, is quite beautiful, especially at night when the waterside lighting creates a somewhat magical feel.
    Further inland, the unique Eden Project shows a world beneath huge biomes and is an amazing experience. Atmospheric Bodmin Moor offers breathtaking views from its rising tors and mysterious stone structures, whilst the Camel Trail can be enjoyed by hiring a bicycle and travelling part or all of its 18 miles, along stunning scenery, unseen and hidden from busy roads.
