At St Just Creek there is a stone beach, boatyard and boat launching point which is a 10-minute walk or a 3-minute drive away. A visit to the pretty churchyard at St Just should not be missed during your stay. Surrounded by sub-tropical gardens and nestled on the edge of the creek, there has been a place of worship here since the sixth century and there are fewer more peaceful places in the country. The recent addition of a tearoom just above the church is well worth a stop for sustenance, a cream tea or cake as you negotiate the steep hill back up to Rose Da Mar. The spacious living accommodation on the ground floor is open plan with stripped wood flooring white washed walls and beamed ceiling throughout. The fitted kitchen has an extensive range of units with plenty of work tops and storage areas and is fitted with a range cooker, adjacent to the kitchen area is the dining area with a pine dining table and chairs also a lovely bay window with distant sea views. The living room area has a feature fire place with a wood burner, comfortable furniture, Freeview TV, DVD player and an identical bay window with distant sea views. There is also a compact kitchenette fitted with fridge and combination microwave. The rest of the annex comprises a light and airy bedroom with kingsize bed, Freeview TV, DVD player and en-suite with shower and toilet. A traditional cottage staircase leads to the first floor where there are two bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and the second one is has twin 2’ 6" beds. Located on the west of the beautiful Roseland Peninsula a few miles north of St Mawes St Just-in-Roseland. It is a verdant village of manicured gardens and pretty cottages leading down to the woodlands and creeks by the Percuil River. The village is best known for the 13th century church of St Just the Martyr. Overlooking St Just Pool, a tree lined creek, and the church which is set in an amphitheatre like graveyard filled with an array of colourful sub-tropical plants and shrubs, a botanical project started over 100 years ago.
Few places in Cornwall can compare with the Roseland Peninsula, one of the most picturesque and unspoilt parts of the British Isles. Whether you are looking for a week-long holiday or short breaks, Rosevean House is the place for you! The garden is extensive, and the house is set out over two main floors and various levels. There are four bedrooms- two of the double bedrooms take in fantastic views of the bay. There is also a first-floor balcony accessed from the master bedroom with even better views. The living space at Rosevean is simply superb, with a mezzanine living room alongside the fully fitted kitchen with a walk-in larder. Deceptively spacious, sea views and an extensive south facing private garden with a delightful deck & terrace. Ideal for families or small groups of friends, but not too large that a couple would feel uncomfortable staying here. It is no more than a 2-minute walk to the famous Lamorran Gardens or 5 minutes to St Mawes Castle and views over the spectacular Carrick Roads.
