Only 2½ miles away lies the historic market town of Holsworthy, featuring essential amenities such as a small Co-Op, local butchers, fresh grocers, pharmacy, pet shop, cafes, and pubs. Holsworthy also offers an 18-hole golf course, an indoor swimming pool, and a small leisure centre. The coastal town of Bude, just 15 minutes away, provides additional attractions, including a sea pool, a historic castle, various restaurants, shops, cafes, local arts, and an activities centre. Tamar Lakes offer a range of water sports and fishing opportunities.
Little Derril’s strategic location allows easy access to the coastal path, inviting guests to explore charming fishing villages and spectacular beaches such as Padstow, Tintagel, Crackington Haven, Westward Ho!, Clovelly, and Instow. For a memorable day out, the renowned Eden Project is within reach. The beach is 8½ miles away, and a shop is 2½ miles away, while a pub and restaurant are within half a mile.

From here you can walk or cycle the Camel Trail along the estuary to Wadebridge and beyond to Bodmin, and it is ideally situated to visit the many National Trust attractions that Cornwall has to offer, including The Eden Project, Bodmin Moor with unspoilt moorland at its best, and the many beautiful gardens and National Trust properties. Downstairs the property has generous living accommodation with a light and spacious lounge and a separate dining room, both with wood burners. The house has the benefit of two bathrooms and there are three bedrooms on the first-floor level. The kitchen and sunroom open directly onto a large, private, fully enclosed garden at the rear. The garden can also be accessed through the utility room. A gate to the side of the property into the garden means easy access from a beach trip or dog walk without having to go through the house.

A bus stop, 50 metres from the property, provides a frequent service into St Ives. The house is only a short walk to Lelant railway station on the scenic St Ives branch line, ideal for access to St Ives and Carbis Bay, where parking can be difficult, especially in high season. You can also explore further afield, as the rail link at St Erth will take you on the Penzance to Paddington main line providing access to main towns such as Truro, Falmouth and Newquay.
For your four-legged friends, Porthkidney Beach, within walking distance of the property, is dog-friendly all year round, with lifeguards during the summer season. There are also plenty of coastal walks to choose from. Close by at Hayle, you will find dunes and a large expanse of beaches. Gwithian is popular with surfers and families as it has parking and a cafe for refreshments, and at low tide, there are large rock pools for little ones to play in.

Newquay boasts an historic working fishing harbour and has some of Europe’s finest coastline.

The village is home to a convenience shop, for everyday essentials and a pharmacy. The neighbouring village has a fish & chip shop & local butchers. The town of Camborne is close by where you’ll find a choice of supermarkets, local shops, takeaways, Pubs, and eating establishments. Keen walkers won’t need to venture far, you will find excellent walks on the doorstep, you can stroll through Pendarves Nature Reserve or take a walk to Carwynnen Quiot, a rare group of Neolithic monuments.
The Great Flat Lode mining trail which is also a cycle trail can be joined nearby and offers some stunning views of both coastlines as well as being home to a multitude of old mining Engine houses. If it’s coastal scenery you’re after, you can pick up the South-West coast path at any point around the Cornish coastline, it offers breath-taking scenery, from rugged coves like Godrevy point with its resident seal colony, to quaint seaside villages and harbours dotted along the dramatic coastline.
There are also several excellent cycle trails including the coast-to-coast trail from Portreath to Devoran as well as the well-known Camel Trail which runs from Padstow to Wadebridge and on to Bodmin. You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches, with the north coast surfing beaches of Portreath, Porthtowan and Perranporth as well as the stunning 3-mile stretch of golden sands running from Godrevy and Gwithian to Hayle all just a short drive away.
Take a train from Camborne to St Ives to relax on one of the many beaches there, stroll through the cobbled streets of St Ives, with its boutique shops, and an array of stylish cafés, bars and restaurants.

Cobblers Cottage dates from the mid-19th century and is a lovely example of the style found in Cornwall at this time. The cottage has an inviting kitchen which is well equipped, warm and cosy. The living room has an original fireplace, housing an electric wood burner and has soft furnishings to sink into. There is a delightful snug, where you can relax with your favourite book, whilst upstairs are two comfortable double bedrooms with views across the village and beyond. The family bathroom has superb tiling in traditional Cornish colours and has both a bath and efficient electric shower over. The garden has been carefully tended and has an array of flowers, shrubs and plants with a wooden bench in a secluded part, with subtle lighting. There is parking for one car across the owner’s driveway and roadside parking is also available.
The village of Nanpean, translated from the Cornish meaning ‘little valley’, is just 4 miles from the town of St Austell and is steeped in history. The historical village port of Charlestown is 7 miles away and has been the setting of many films and the popular series of Poldark, due to it’s originality and authentic tall ships. There is a fascinating Shipwreck Museum here along with pubs and restaurants. The Clay Trails offer wonderful walks and cycling paths and an insight into the once huge industry of clay mining which was a major part of the economy for the area. The scenery is quite stunning here. There is a lovely short walk which begins next to the cottage and takes you down through woodland and on past the football pitch, itself for public use.
The buzzing town of Newquay, famed for its water sport activities, restaurants, bars and beaches is a lively place and sits just 11 miles away. This location is also perfect for exploring the harbour towns and villages to the east, including beautiful Fowey, with its narrow streets and ancient natural harbour. Polperro, famous for smuggling connections in times gone by, is a ‘must visit’, whilst Looe, with its hills looking down to the delightful harbour, is quite beautiful, especially at night when the waterside lighting creates a somewhat magical feel.
Further inland, the unique Eden Project shows a world beneath huge biomes and is an amazing experience. Atmospheric Bodmin Moor offers breathtaking views from its rising tors and mysterious stone structures, whilst the Camel Trail can be enjoyed by hiring a bicycle and travelling part or all of its 18 miles, along stunning scenery, unseen and hidden from busy roads. The cottage’s location is fantastic for exploring both the quaint and scenic countryside as well as the fantastic beaches on the coast, with the nearest shop being just a short walk away in the hamlet of Tregaswith, and lots of pubs and eateries to choose from in St. Columb Major down the road.
Set off on a surfing expedition to Newquay’s nearby world famous Fistral Beach or Watergate Bay known for enjoying incredible waves all year round, with surf schools here to teach beginners all they need to know!
Choose from several beaches along this stretch of coast, including Mawgan Porth Beach, Great Western Beach, Lusty Glaze Beach, Towan Beach and Crantock Beach, all of which are dog friendly all year round, so you’re sure to find a spacious spot for your group!

There is excellent attention to detail throughout this lovely bright and airy property, designed to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. There is a superbly well equipped, fitted kitchen, with modern appliances and ample workspace for preparing that all important meal. The open plan kitchen/diner has a mixture of beautiful soft furnishings, sofa and chairs to sink into after a busy day of adventures, whilst the dining space has seating and space for all guests. Venture upstairs and you are treated to two stunning bedrooms. The first has a kingsize bed, with high quality linens and ensuite, with an impressive, spacious double walk-in shower. Padstow, renowned for its super seafood restaurants, many with celebrity chef status, is a thriving harbour town, with narrow streets and harbour a hive of activity. Cafes, boutique shops and art galleries sit side by side with restaurants and pubs. Hire a bicycle here and follow the Camel Trail, 18 miles of a mainly flat pathway, as it threads its way through woodland, revealing scenic views. The trail leads to Wadebridge, an ancient town with many amenities and on to Bodmin, where it’s mysterious and atmospheric moor of the same name boasts strange rock formations and views so spectacular. The Eden Project, a world beneath huge Biomes is a unique experience, whilst the exquisite Lost Garden of Heligan are both peaceful and truly beautiful. The beaches in this area have broad expanses of golden sand, rockpools for all ages to enjoy and coves long associated with the legends and tales of smuggling! Oceans is a lovely corner bungalow with a large, enclosed garden benefiting from sea views and located in a residential cul-de-sac just 100 yards from Widemouth Beach.
If it’s the beach you want with miles of sand, swimming, and surf then you’ll be spoiled for choice. Much of the coastline in this area is owned by the National Trust and is a haven for wildlife, providing fabulous walking opportunities. There are many pretty coves and inlets to discover within a short drive including Crackington Haven, Boscastle, Morwenstow, and stunning Tintagel, inextricably linked to the legend of King Arthur. Further afield the fishing port of Padstow is a popular tourist destination. Bude is a fabulous coastal town that once visited, you will want to come back to time and time again. Bude has something for everyone including great beaches for relaxing and building sandcastles on, rockpools for investigating at low tide, and cafés to watch it all from. The rolling waves are great for surfing all year round and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the Southwest Coast Path offer you a superb opportunity to explore and appreciate the outstanding countryside. Bude also has a superb golf course, indoor swimming pool, bowling alley/indoor play area, and a heritage centre at Bude Castle. It also has a good selection of local shops, supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, and an excellent information centre.
Oceans is also perfectly located for you to discover the many natural delights that North Devon has to offer such as Exmoor National Park with its magical night skies in Europe’s first ’Dark Sky Reserve’, the many rugged coastal towns and quaint villages such as Hartland, Lynton & Lynmouth, Ilfracombe, and the world-famous Clovelly Village with their awe-inspiring scenery and there are plenty of family-oriented places to visit including Exmoor Zoo, Milky Way Adventure Park, The Big Sheep farm-themed park and many others. And if Bude’s beaches aren’t enough for you then North Devon will leave you spoilt for choice with Saunton, Woolacombe, Croyde, and Westward Ho! Beaches – some of the best in the country! This property is situated in Perranporth, a seaside town on the north coast of Cornwall. The Annexe at Tenniside is a two-bedroom, ground floor property with its own parking and private garden. Located near a small stream and surrounded by woodland, you will find the beach to be a 10-minute walk away.
The property has everything that you would expect for a comfortable stay. The garden is very quiet and you can hear the water bubbling from the small stream. The owner has installed outdoor lighting and throws so you can enjoy the relaxing evenings whilst the little ones are tucked in bed. For those that are adventurous, why not lie in the hammock? The garden is full of colourful plants, and these are sold by the owner in the small stall on the road.
If you turn right out of the property you will see a huge tennis club, so for a small fee you can book the court, do not forget your rackets! A little further on is a very well-equipped play area for children of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers. There is basketball and a football pitch, as well as a table tennis to use. A little further you will find the duck pond, a beautiful place to walk, with plenty of benches, rowing boats full of flowers, and the island has a lovely waterfall. In the village you have local shops, restaurants, takeaways and cafés, offering everything from fish and chips to a roast dinner, catering for all types of cuisine you won’t be disappointed.
Perranporth beach is a 3-mile stretch of sand, a fantastic place for the whole family. There is a tidal pool at Chapel Rock as well as a fantastic watering hole. The Atlantic surf attracts surfers all year round, and there is something to do all year round. The coastal paths along Perranporth lead you to the stunning sand dunes of Penhale, an area designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Special Area of Conservation.
