    Squires is a lovely and extremely spacious, two bedroom, dog-friendly holiday home with accommodation on two levels for four people. The comfortable living room has a TV/DVD with French doors leading out to the garden. The very spacious and bright kitchen/dining room has all you’ll need for your stay including a washer/dryer and dishwasher. There’s a kingsize room upstairs with sloping ceilings, a large skylight and a TV, plus a handy en-suite toilet and a twin bedroom downstairs with an adjacent bathroom with bath and shower over. Outside there is a lovely lawned garden with countryside views and furniture and the added luxury of a private hot tub where you can enjoy evenings of star gazing. There is also a handy handheld dog shower and ample parking available on-site.
    The sleepy village of Marhamchurch with its thatch and cob cottages is under 2 miles away and has an excellent community spirit and is a short drive from Bude. If it’s the beach you want with miles of sand, swimming and surf then you’ll be spoiled for choice. Much of the coastline in this area is owned by the National Trust and is a haven for wildlife, providing fabulous walking opportunities. There are many pretty coves and inlets to discover within a short drive of this cottage including Crackington Haven, Boscastle, Morwenstow and stunning Tintagel, inextricably linked to the legend of King Arthur. Further afield the fishing port of Padstow is a popular tourist destination.
    Bude is a fabulous coastal town that once visited, you will want to come back to time and time again. Bude has something for everyone including great beaches for relaxing and building sandcastles on, rockpools for investigating at low tide and cafés to watch it all from. The rolling waves are great for surfing all year round and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the South West Coast Path offer you a superb opportunity to explore and appreciate the outstanding countryside. Bude also has a superb golf course, indoor swimming pool, bowling alley/indoor play area and a heritage centre at Bude Castle. It also has a good selection of local shops, supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants and an excellent information centre.     Over the past year (2022), the house has been renovated to the highest standards by one of the country’s leading interior designers and offers plenty of living space all benefitting from exceptional sea views and floor to ceiling sliding doors leading to a large decking area. The large circular fireplace makes for cosy evenings during the Autumn and Winter months. The brand-new handmade kitchen is well supplied with all creature comforts from a juicer to a selection of coffee machines, including a Nespresso. A door leads into a separate TV room with a big corner sofa, both with fabulous sea views and door to the terrace. Three ground floor bedrooms, ome with chandelier, two with those stunning views. A beautiful glass and oak staircase leads from the entrance hall up to the first floor where you will find three more bedrooms; a double bedroom with en-suite shower room; a large twin bedroom with large en-suite shower room, and one with a TV and sofa bed which enjoys the best views of all.

    The beach is just a 5-minute walk away from the garden gate. Off the drive, there is a lawned area and to the side of the house a heated outdoor shower for when you return from the beach. The equipment store has a range of children’s wetsuits and storage for boards. Once cleaned off, you can luxuriate in the state-of-the-art Aspen and Spruce spa with a sauna, experiential shower plus cold water bucket for the brave. Situated mid-way between Padstow and Newquay, Mawgan Porth offers you a beautiful west facing beach, stunning scenery, wondrous walks, superb surfing, an amazing variety of restaurants to suit everyone’s taste and pocket, including a cosy pub, seafood restaurant, cafés, and takeaways all within walking distance of Blue Seas.
