From the terrace, stone steps lead down to the stone-walled private garden complete with furniture for six and a barbecue, perfect for al fresco dining. There’s also storage for bikes and surfboards and a stone-chipping patio where wetsuits can be rinsed and dried. There are two parking spaces to the rear of the courtyard, and access is permitted for loading and unloading at any time.

Set on a 120-acre, family-run working farm, these two lovely cottages (Goose Cottage ref UKC2676 and Barn Cottage ref UKC2682), offer comfortable and welcoming accommodation. Located just ¾ mile from Widemouth Bay, one of the most spectacular stretches of coastline in north Cornwall, there is something here to suit guests of all ages. You could even book both of the properties together for extended family or friends.
The larger cottage, Goose Cottage is a charming barn conversion and boast lovely views of the surrounding rural landscape. With spacious open plan living space, it is ideal for enjoyable gatherings of families or friends. Barn Cottage offers a first floor living room, complete with doors which open onto a small decked balcony where guests can admire the magnificent views across rolling fields and out to the sea. Both properties enjoy shared access to the range of facilities found on-site, including a tennis court and a children’s outdoor play area with slides, swings and a climbing wall. Why not take a dip in the heated outdoor swimming pool, or challenge friends and family to the variety of games found in the small indoor games barn including table tennis, air hockey and a small pool table. A communal utility room with washing machines and a tumble dryer is available for both properties. Friendly chickens, ducks and geese roam the courtyard, and the tame peacock may pay you a visit to your door. There is a woodland walk to the rear, and a 20-minute walk on a footpath across the fields to the front will take you across sheep grazed meadows to Widemouth Bay.
Widemouth Bay is an extremely popular holiday destination and is world famous for surfing. It has far reaching, exceptional sandy beaches, and provides miles of coastal paths for enthusiastic walkers. The well loved tourist town of Bude is just 3 miles further up the coast. The town offers an indoor swimming pool, shops, restaurants, horse riding, a golf course and tenpin bowling. For the keen walker there are many opportunities both along the south west coastal path route, which runs the entire coastline of Cornwall and offers stunning cliff walks, and on nearby Bodmin Moor. Polean Farm Cottages are located in Cornwall, down green lanes, off the Looe to Polperro road, just outside the village of Pelynt. The farm is set amongst rolling farmland and is less than 2 miles from the sea. All of the cottages are full of character and provide a cosy home-from-home. They have all been converted from original farm buildings which date back to the 18th century.
The Old Farmhouse (ref UK12895) is a historical, semi-detached farmhouse which has been tastefully renovated and is perfect for a large family get together or for two families to holiday together.
Little Owls Cottage (ref UK12896) is a detached barn named after the owls that still live in the nesting boxes around the building which can sometimes be heard at night. It is set in its own garden with glorious views across the farm and towards the village of Pelynt.
Rosebud Cottage (ref UK12897) and Shires Rest (ref UK12899) are pleasant, beamed cottages with lovely countryside views. Before being converted, both cottages were used to store hay in the winter and you can still see many of the original features.
Threpney Cottage (ref UK12898) is an imaginatively converted ’roundhouse’ and is full of character. The cottage was named after the old twelve sided three penny piece due to its shape.
Twinkles Cottage (ref UK12900) is a charming and spacious ‘upside down’, beamed cottage, with great views across the farm and surrounding countryside.
Waggoners Cottage (ref UK12901) is a delightful single-storey cottage, with its own garden and views of the front fields and the children’s play area at the rear. The cottage was named after the wagons that used to be stored in it and you can still see many of the original features of the barn.
The Mealhouse (ref UK12902) was originally used to store the feed or ‘meal’ for the pigs that resided in the pig sty which can still be seen across from it. The Mealhouse is detached and set slightly apart from the other cottages, offering uninterrupted views across the farm.
Polean Farm provides the perfect destination for a family holiday. The farm offers animal feeding each week day morning, where you may help bottle feed lambs (seasonal) and hand feed pigmy goats and chickens, as well as enjoy pony or tractor rides! The farm is also a working livery yard and children and parents often enjoy visiting the horses and ponies each day.
Guests have free use of an indoor heated swimming pool just a few minutes’ drive away. It’s perfect for families and children who want to splash around or those wanting to put in a few lengths and keep fit. Guests are also welcome to make free use of the nightly entertainment at the same local holiday complex which is just a few minutes’ drive from the farm. The entertainment is on every night and includes children’s entertainment, followed by grown up entertainment with top musicians, performers and comedians regularly appearing throughout the season. Children are allowed in the venue for the whole evening. Please note, the pool is not available during August due to overcrowding, and entertainment is not available November-March (except during school holidays). Ideally located for exploring the delights of The Lizard Peninsula and the picturesque Helford River and creeks, this detached cottage sits along a quiet country lane, close to St Anthony Creek and the banks of the Helford River. Helford boasts a lovely waterfront pub, which serves local food and ales. Just a short stroll away is the centre of Manaccan, with its thatched cottages and village pub. The area is popular for sailing, water sports, kayaking and fishing, all within easy reach. The Lizard Peninsula is a secret haven of glorious beaches and pretty villages with colourful cottages. Stunning Kynance Cove is only a 15-minute drive away, or visit the lighthouse at The Lizard Peninsula, the UK’s most southerly point. Coverack, St Kevern and Mullion Cove are all well worth a visit and are within easy reach.
Cundurrow Cottage makes the perfect base from which to explore all that south Cornwall has to offer. The cottage provides comfortable and cosy accommodation with a good-sized kitchen, and a beamed living room and a dining room with warming wood burners. French doors lead from the living room out onto a large, enclosed garden, backing onto fields, making the perfect place to unwind in after a day’s exploring. Opposite the cottage is a working farm, where children and visitors will be welcome to meet the animals and see the cows being milked (available on request). Beach 1 mile. Anchor Loft is situated at the top of the town affording fabulous views across the river. Only a 10 minute walk brings you down to the sandy beach at Readymoney Cove or a 20 minute walk into the town centre. The advantage of being at the top of the town, apart from the stunning views, is the easy access in and out of Fowey without having to negotiate the narrow one-way streets of the town centre. Also, if you have walked down into the town and don’t have the energy to walk back up there is always Fowey Town Bus which runs throughout the day.

The Lodge is a stylish three bedroom detached bungalow, which is maintained to a very good standard and has been thoughtfully furnished to make guests feel welcome during their stay in Fowey.
Situated in a peaceful cul-de-sac, you are just a short walk from the town centre, with its shops, restaurants and quayside amenities. If you require provisions at the local grocery shop/off license or need to send a postcard home then you only have to walk up through to the end of the garden which brings you out opposite the local shop and post office.

The centre of bustling Newquay is easily reached, but there is so much more to the town including the stunning Gannel Estuary, a wildlife haven and perfect spot for a picnic or to enjoy the latest water sport of stand-up paddle boarding. There are several excellent restaurants and café bars close by and superb walks along the picturesque coastal path. A locals’ favourite is the stroll along the beach to the beach bar or pizzeria at Fistral Beach with stunning ocean views and ciders galore, or just simply enjoy some of Rick Stein’s fish and chips on the beach as the sun sets.
Newquay is home to some of the best surfing beaches in Europe, and there are many surf schools in the town providing qualified tutors. Ocean Mist is close to Fistral Beach, which can be reached along a sandy path that leads through the nearby golf course. Newquay also has a working harbour, tropical gardens, a Sea Life centre, zoo, local farm shop, golf course within walking distance from the apartment, horse riding, bicycle hire, sea trips for fishing and two leisure centres. It is also surrounded by many tourist attractions for all ages including go karting, Crealy Adventure Park, Dairyland, a Japanese garden and Trerice Manor, a National Trust house and garden. The whole coastline is dotted with beaches and fishing villages from St Agnes in the south to Padstow in the north, with its fine dining and many excellent restaurants including those of the TV chef Rick Stein.
Padstow is a must as it provides a day and evening out for the whole family. Wander the narrow streets and enjoy the evening by the working harbour or hire a bike and cycle along the famous Camel Trail, a flat off-road trail that hugs the shore of the estuary. At Watergate Bay, 2 miles from Newquay, you can take advantage of the wide beach which is home to the British Kite Surfing Centre. Truro, Fowey, the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are all easily reached from this perfectly positioned ground floor apartment. Beach 400 yards. This traditional Cornish cottage has been sympathetically restored into a very bright and appealing character holiday home. The Old Dairy is just 100 yards from the sea, beach and amenities of St Mawes and is an excellent base for both beach and touring holidays.
The spacious living accommodation on the ground floor is open plan with stripped wood flooring white washed walls and beamed ceiling throughout. The fitted kitchen has an extensive range of units with plenty of work tops and storage areas and is fitted with a range cooker, adjacent to the kitchen area is the dining area with a pine dining table and chairs also a lovely bay window with distant sea views. The living room area has a feature fire place with a wood burner, comfortable furniture, Freeview TV, DVD player and an identical bay window with distant sea views. There is also a compact kitchenette fitted with fridge and combination microwave. The rest of the annex comprises a light and airy bedroom with kingsize bed, Freeview TV, DVD player and en-suite with shower and toilet. A traditional cottage staircase leads to the first floor where there are two bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and the second one is has twin 2’ 6" beds. Both bedrooms also have the benefit of charming half bonnet ceilings and picture windows, there is also a family bathroom with bath and toilet. To the side of the Old Dairy and approached by a number of steps is the outside patio area. This delightful space offers lovely sea views and is in an ideal place to relax and entertain. It is complete with garden furniture, pizza oven and a barbecue are provided.
