Enjoy a short walk into the village to discover the traditional Welsh pub or a freshly brewed coffee in the village café. There’s so much to explore in Cardigan Bay but if you want a day out to Pembrokeshire you can reach the well-known family attractions of Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo within an hour’s drive. East Monkton Farm lies just 6 miles from the beautiful town of Cowbridge with its array of lovely shops, coffee shops and restaurants. This is truly a perfect place for those wanting to explore the surrounding countryside, whether it be ion foot, by bike or with your dog. Take a stroll to Blaen Y Cwm Nature Reserve and head down to Monknash beach and watch the waves crashing on the shoreline. Enjoy cliff top walks along the Glamorgan Heritage Coast with stunning views across the Bristol Channel to Somerset and North Devon. Beautiful Ogmore-by-Sea is 5 miles away with its huge beach and fabulous sand dunes. The lovely beach at Southerndown is close by too. For the more adventurous, the go-karting centre is just 3 miles from the property, Margam Park with Go Ape is 12 miles away and there are some beautiful walks to be had at Margam Park. The property is only 30 minutes from Cardiff and Swansea and the Gower Peninsula is not too far away. Pub 8-minute walk from the property. Nash point lighthouse is only 10 minutes away overlooking sandbanks, and the national trust Dyffryn gardens is only 25 minuites away. The National Trust house and gardens of Llanerchaeron are 4 miles away and from here there’s a delightful level pedestrian country footpath, suitable for bikes, pushchairs or wheelchairs, which leads into Aberaeron. Pretty New Quay with boats bobbing about in the harbour is just a few miles further on, and is definitely worth a visit. You must look out for the resident pods of bottlenose dolphins seen in the bay on an almost daily basis! Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

Cei Bach is a pretty sheltered sandy beach. It is good for bathing and has beautiful scenic views - the Coastal Path from Aberaeron to Cei Bach passes over a waterfall as it wends its way along the cliff tops.
Cardigan is a charming county town with its high street lined with Georgian shop fronts - call into The Custom House Gallery, visit the indoor market, sample some of the eating places and perhaps see a film or show at Theatr Mwldan which has a constantly changing programme of events.
