    The cottage embraces modern times, but still has a nod to its past keeping some original features. It offers two beautifully designed bedrooms exuding tranquillity and calm, as well as a modern bathroom on the first floor. Downstairs, after a day exploring, you can sink into the comfy sofas in the living room in front of the crackling wood burner in its feature stone fireplace. The separate dining room also has a wood burner and leads into a well-equipped kitchen with a beautiful flagstone floor. To the front of the cottage is a a sizeable garden with artificial turf and planted borders. There are beautifully kept stone walls and pathways leading to the front door and side entrance to the rear garden. The rear garden has a sunny patio area, excellent for outside dining, with the main area laid to artificial turf and raised beds housing a wide range of colourful plants.
    Youlgreave is one of the larger Peak District villages, with narrow streets running for about 1½ miles. This fantastic location makes a great base for outdoor enthusiasts and sightseers alike with walks galore. The market towns of Ashbourne, Matlock and Wirksworth, with their variety of attractions, shops, coffee shops and restaurants, are all within a 30-minute drive. Chatsworth House and Ntional Trust Haddon Hall are just 15 minutes away, and for cyclists and walkers the famous Monsal Trail offers traffic-free peace. For the thrillseekers, Alton Towers theme park can be reached easily from this location. This area of the Peak District is fantastic for exploring the countryside. The High Peak trail and the Tissington trail are both within 3 miles of the huts as well as recognised cycle routes. Dovedale is a must to visit whilst in the area, read up on the history of the steppingstones and take the walk yourselves up Thorpe Cloud where you will see breath-taking views well worth the hike. If you are more of a thrill seeker Alton Towers is only a 20-minute drive which makes a fun day out for all the family or take on some water sports at Carsington reservoir.
