The kitchen has sleek grey units with ample preparation and storage space, and is fully equipped with a range of integrated appliances. The large island in the centre of the kitchen is a great spot to catch-up over coffee, and the large dining table is the perfect sociable area for a celebratory meal where you can entertain your guests and toast to the good times that lie ahead.     Upstairs, the bedrooms and landing have beautiful features, including wooden beams, sky lights, a glass balustrade staircase and high ceilings.     Iddesleigh, Hatherleigh and Winkleigh are just a short drive away and offer shops and pubs. The village of Iddesleigh, which is a 5-minute drive away, is known as War Horse Country as this is where Michael Morpurgo wrote the novel ’War Horse’.     The property has recently undergone extensive improvements and renovation which includes an extension. The ground floor has a large living room with cosy wood burner and a Smart TV and a kitchen/diner in the new part of the property with everything you’d expect in a modern kitchen plus the added comfort of underfloor heating.
    On the ground floor there is also a handy wet room with a walk-in shower, toilet and basin. The garage functions as a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, plus iron/ironing board, and a convenient storage area for guest bicycles and surfboards. Highchairs and a fireguard are stored here.
    From the kitchen you can take in far-reaching rural views and walk out onto the balcony decking and enjoy the outdoor space, including a lawn garden area and outdoor seating. There is parking for one car on the private driveway at the front of the cottage (further parking can be found on-road). On the first floor there are four bedrooms; two kings, one double and a twin room (with two single beds).     Abbotsham is a small village in the area known as ‘Hame’ in the Domesday Book and is close to Westward Ho! which itself offers an array of seaside amenities including some fascinating curiosity shops and a range of restaurants and cafes, many of which are regularly visited by locals for their quality fayre. There is also an excellent pub within short walking distance.
    Very close by are two popular top family attractions, The Big Sheep amusement farm park, and if you fancy some high ropes, wall climbing, surfing or even a spot of coasteering, The Ultimate Adventure Centre is the place to visit!
