All the bedrooms have beautiful en-suite bathrooms, as well as a separate large waterfall bath in its own room. There is a very large and well-equipped kitchen which has ample provision for 10/12 people, a very attractive living room with a beautiful open fire to enjoy in the evenings, a large dining room for entertainment as well as a cosy conservatory overlooking a beautiful garden and wooded area.     Corner Cottage is set in an ideal position on the north edge of Windermere village. Enjoy being close to all the village amenities. It is also well placed for Bowness and Ambleside and access to the shores of Lake Windermere is only a short distance away. The longest lake in England, Lake Windermere enjoys a dramatic backdrop of wooded slopes and bare fells. Troutbeck Bridge lies to the north between Windermere and Ambleside; handy for both but located just off the beaten track.
    Visit the 18th-century dome shaped villa on Belle Isle, the largest of the fourteen islands, which can be reached by ferry. Nearby attractions include a steamboat museum and visitors’ centre at Brockhole. Across the waters at Far Sawrey lies Beatrix Potter’s former home Hill Top (National Trust), a must for anyone who has ever enjoyed the tales of Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddle-duck.
