This charming, spacious house has been totally refurbished and provides an excellent standard of holiday accommodation in the heart of the attractive lakeside village of Troutbeck Bridge. All the bedrooms have beautiful en-suite bathrooms, as well as a separate large waterfall bath in its own room. There is a very large and well-equipped kitchen which has ample provision for 10/12 people, a very attractive living room with a beautiful open fire to enjoy in the evenings, a large dining room for entertainment as well as a cosy conservatory overlooking a beautiful garden and wooded area. The house is equally suitable for couples or family groups. It is an ideal holiday base.
Corner Cottage is set in an ideal position on the north edge of Windermere village. Enjoy being close to all the village amenities. It is also well placed for Bowness and Ambleside and access to the shores of Lake Windermere is only a short distance away. The longest lake in England, Lake Windermere enjoys a dramatic backdrop of wooded slopes and bare fells. Troutbeck Bridge lies to the north between Windermere and Ambleside; handy for both but located just off the beaten track.
Visit the 18th-century dome shaped villa on Belle Isle, the largest of the fourteen islands, which can be reached by ferry. Nearby attractions include a steamboat museum and visitors’ centre at Brockhole. Across the waters at Far Sawrey lies Beatrix Potter’s former home Hill Top (National Trust), a must for anyone who has ever enjoyed the tales of Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddle-duck. Blencathra is a tastefully converted Grade II listed barn situated on Blakebeck Farm just two miles from the unspoilt Lakeland village of Mungrisdale. The barn has an upside-down layout with a large open plan living area on the first floor. Lovely views of the local fells and Blencathra surround the barn and the owner’s sheep and lambs graze in the meadows around the cottages, along with alpacas and donkeys. Local walks from the doorstep are plentiful. Cyclists will enjoy the quiet country lanes and golfers will find Keswick Golf Course one and a half miles away. The popular bustling market town of Keswick with an abundance of interesting shops, eateries and a good leisure centre is seven and a half miles away. Stretch your legs along the edge of Derwentwater or through the Borrowdale Valley and pick up the Keswick Launch to cruise back again. Towards the south, Ullswater and Thirlmere are a short drive away and both offer spectacular scenery, challenging walks and plentiful activities. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Greenrigg Cottage is a peaceful retreat for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life. This former farmhouse enjoys an isolated location next to the owner’s house, high up on the Caldbeck Fells, with panoramic views in all directions. There are walks from the door immediately onto the open fells and quiet roads for cycling. The picturesque village of Caldbeck is three miles and has a pub, café and shop, or more amenities can be found in the bustling town of Keswick, 15 miles away. The cottage is both comfortably furnished in a traditional style and economically priced.

Prominently looking over the village green, and within touching distance of the Skiddaw massif, this link detached property is in the perfect location to explore the north western fells of the Lake District. Located in the heart of the village, with the village farm adjacent, the property offers access onto miles of quiet footpaths and local fells including little-known routes up Skiddaw and the back of the Blencathra massif.
