Situated in a beautiful quiet courtyard in the quaint village of Over Haddon you will find The Old Stables, a beautiful converted barn ideal for up to four guests. The former farm building was once owned by the Prime Minister Lord Melbourne, to whom Queen Victoria was very close to, and sits adjacent to the owner’s home, Manor Farm, a medieval Grade II listed manor house which dates back to 1553. The Old Stables is one of six dotted around this stunning courtyard setting and has been converted to a good standard throughout. The property offers exposed beams and is full of character, really giving this holiday home a unique feel. Stable doors welcome you into the open plan kitchen and living area, and upstairs there are two bedrooms and a super bathroom complete with a spa bath.
The Old Stables is located in the very heart of the wonderful Derbyshire Peak District National Park and benefits from an elevated position with views that can be enjoyed from the master bedroom stable door. Stunning panoramic views over the countryside and Peak District are just one of the fabulous features of this property.
Over Haddon itself is a lovely village offering visitors excellent walks, a local village pub, an award winning café, and let’s not forget the nearby spectacular limestone Lathkill Dale. It is an ideal position from which to enjoy many of the wonderful attractions Derbyshire has to offer including Bakewell, which can be reached in around 5 minutes, with its independent shops, tea shops, weekly farmers’ market, and of course the Bakewell pudding shop! Nearby is the exceptional Chatsworth House and Gardens, along with medieval manor house Haddon Hall.
There is an abundance of walks straight from the front door of this wonderful property, along with further opportunities for cycling on the Monsal Trail, rock climbing and horse riding. Shop 2½ miles, pub 1 mile, restaurant 2 miles.

Monameeth bungalow has been renovated into luxury self-catering accommodation. It is located in the beautiful village of Monyash, just a short drive from its nearest towns of Bakewell and Buxton, which both offer fantastic shops, restaurants, cafés and attractions. Monyash has an excellent pub within walking distance from the property which serves great drinks along with tasty home cooked meals, the perfect stop after a day walking the trails.
Monameeth offers great garden space and parking. Enter the property from the rear porch into the large, social kitchen which has been finished to an excellent standard, and which offers everything you should need during your stay. There is also a large dining table with chairs in here to seat all guests. There is a comfortable living room, three bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite, plus there is a family bathroom. It is an excellent base to discover the Peak District National Park.

Welcome to Brewers Cottage, with a contemporary open-plan kitchen, dining room and living area, it has been nicely kitted out with everything you’ll need to prepare delicious meals throughout your stay.
There is comfortable seating for all guests along with a Smart TV to watch your favourite film or show and unwind after a day of exploring. Enjoy a restful night’s sleep in one of the two bedrooms, offering a kingsize bed or twin beds. For a bit of ‘you time’, retreat to the bathroom, where you’ll find a walk-in shower. Step outside and you can breathe in the fresh Montgomeryshire air with your morning coffee. You may wish to enjoy long lazy lunches on the outdoor dining furniture or relax in your own private hot tub.
Fans of the great outdoors will love the location. Brewer’s cottage sits within Montgomery, with its medieval street layout, imposing Town Hall, mix of Georgian, Victorian and timber framed buildings, it’s a place where time seems to stand still. A stone’s throw from Offa’s Dyke National Trails and National Cycle Route 81 and within 30 minutes’ drive of the Cambrian Way. Montgomery is a superb base from which to explore scenic mid-Wales. And, with a wealth of comfortable and friendly places to eat and drink, you can be sure of a warm welcome in the town. If you wish to head slightly further afield, you’re within an hour’s drive of Snowdonia National Park.

Coach House is situated in the heart of this popular Derbyshire village, near to the market town of Bakewell and home to the most photographed bridge in Britain which crosses the river Wye. There is plenty to experience and explore all within walking distance, so you can park the car and enjoy your break away at a more leisurely pace.
Here you are within walking distance of the village shop, tearoom and a friendly pub serving great food. For busy days out, the town of Bakewell is just over a mile away with Buxton being a little further. The historic houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are only a short drive away too and are well worth a visit.
As you arrive down the private driveway of the Coach House, you will find ample parking for your cars, alongside a groomed, lawned garden and patio area. On the ground floor is an open plan kitchen and dining area offering the ideal place to unwind after a busy day, whilst the kitchen offers all the appliances you should require to rustle up a good breakfast before your fun-filled day. The living area is generous in size with ample seating and a TV, and there is a downstairs toilet. On the first floor are four comfortable bedrooms comprising a king, two doubles and a single, along with two bathrooms, one with a cubicle shower and separate bath and the second with a cubicle shower. This is a great base not only for its location but also for comfort and relaxation.

Puddle Duck Cottage is a traditional Bakewell home comprising three floors. As you arrive you are greeted by the tranquillity of the location, right by the flowing River Wye with a south facing garden.
As you enter the cottage into the living room, there is a warming wood burner, TV and comfortable seating. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you should need to whip up a delicious meal during your stay with a kitchen table and seating for all guests. On the first floor is a double bedroom with super kingsize bed, and a bathroom with cubicle shower and standalone roll-top bath with shower attachment. On the second floor there is a twin bedroom and the second bathroom with bath and shower attachment. Both bedrooms are at the front of the property meaning you have the wonderful views over the river and both bedrooms also have enough space for a put-up bed or travel cot. To the rear of the property is an outhouse where you can store your bike, plus there is a counter-top freezer and washing machine available for your use with washing line that can be pulled out in the courtyard.
From Puddle Duck Cottage you are just a short walk from Bakewell town centre where you can enjoy the markets, shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs, don’t forget a visit to the traditional Bakewell Pudding shop while you are there to taste the delights on offer. There are also many walks you can take from here; on foot you can head to Chatsworth House and the Monsal Trail. You will see some wonderful sites and panoramas of the Peak District landscape. There are other neighbouring towns such as Buxton and Matlock both offering fun parks and a mixture of independent and high street shops. Puddle Duck Cottage offers a really great base with a warming and welcoming cottage to return to after your action packed day in the heart of the Peaks.

As you arrive on the private drive, there is ample parking for up to five cars, enter into the property on the ground floor where you will find a large kitchen with dining table, a superb dining room, study and lounge with an open fire. On the first floor are three double bedrooms, one having an en-suite bathroom, and another has a kingsize bed. There is a family bathroom on this floor which can be accessed from the master bedroom also, it has a fantastic feature in the mirror which lights up as well as connecting via Bluetooth for your phone should you wish to play music.
On the second floor are three further double bedrooms and another family bathroom featuring his and hers sinks. The bathrooms and bedrooms have been finished to a luxurious standard with plenty of space and light with the bathrooms having underfloor heating. Outside there is a generously sized garden with high walls ensuring privacy and home to one of the nine wells of Bakewell plus the old stables and blacksmiths workshop where you can store your bikes. At the heart of this property is a large, well-equipped kitchen which has everything you should require to cook a filling breakfast ahead of your fun-filled day. It is a great social space too with a relaxing sofa area. The dining room is located in the conservatory with a large table to seat 8 people, two easy chairs, views of the garden and far-reaching views across Bakewell to the golf course and Manners Wood. There is a separate sitting room with electric feature fire, TV, sofa and easy chairs. The lower ground floor provides a separate area as a games room for the kids to have their own space, with a popular football table. On the first floor are two of the four bedrooms. The master bedroom features an en-suite shower room and a super kingsize bed which can be made up as twin beds on request. The family bathroom is also on the first floor and features a bath and a separate shower cubicle. Relatively steep stairs rise to the second floor with a landing providing access to two further bedrooms, one of which is super kingsize with a dual aspect, and far-reaching views which include the River Wye as it meanders through the town.

Every room within the property is finished to a standard of excellence. Outside, the property is approached via a driveway, providing access to a large, gravelled parking area with space for four cars and space to turn. To the side of the property is a lovely garden, ideal for sitting out during the morning, and a patio area immediately adjoining the conservatory with seating for 10 people.

Rock Mews is located just a short walk up from Bakewell town centre, within easy reach of shops, bars, cafés and restaurants. There are magnificent views across the market town of Bakewell from all areas of the garden, and Rock Mews provides the perfect base within this popular Peak District town. From the town you can get onto the Monsal Trail, which is great for cycling as well as walking. If you haven’t got any bikes, bike hiring is available on the trail at Hassop café. Neighbouring towns such as Buxton and Matlock are lovely places to visit and explore, both offering their own independent characters, and of course not to be missed are nearby Chatsworth House and Gardens and Haddon Hall, both within 5 minutes’ drive of Bakewell.

Bakewell is the largest town in the Peak District National Park and is the perfect base from which to explore everything that this beautiful part of the country has to offer. Skye House itself is located just a short 10-minute walk from Bakewell town centre.

Head up a flight of steps to the front door where you enter the hallway of this beautiful home, finished to a high, modern standard. The property offers two lounges, the first main lounge leads off from the kitchen and has a Smart TV, the second lounge is classed as the snug with dark interiors, a wood burner and a Smart TV making it a lovely cosy spot to enjoy the evening together with friends and family. The kitchen is fully equipped and has all the appliances you should require during your stay such as dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and Nespresso coffee maker and there is a large dining table with chairs and bench ensuring there is ample space for all guests to enjoy a meal together. The boot room which contains a downstairs toilet has a door to the rear path making it the ideal entrance after a day’s walking and is perfect for storing muddy boots and walking gear. For those guests who have brought their dog the owners have provided a dog bath with a hot and cold dog shower so there is no need to worry about muddy paws.

On the first floor are three of the four bedrooms, these include a super king zip and link which can be made into two twin beds on request, a double bedroom, and a twin room with and Xbox for younger guests to enjoy. The family bathroom is located on the first floor with a bath and separate shower. On the second floor is the fourth and final bedroom with a super king zip and link bed, plus a pull out small since bed suitable for a child if this is required. The second bathroom is situated on the second floor with a bath with a shower attachment. Outside there is a lovely garden area which includes a pergola where you can sit and enjoy the view over fields. There is a raised patio area with high quality, comfortable furniture with sunshade and a BBQ so you can relax and enjoy dinning alfresco whilst watching the sheep in the field behind. Behind the house there is an additional bistro set located in the perfect spot to catch the early evening sun.
Parking for the property is roadside directly opposite the house with additional unrestricted parking slightly further up the road.

Leave the car behind and explore Bakewell itself with its quaint and classic shop fronts and many independent shops. Visit the famous Bakewell pudding shop or any of the many other cafes, restaurants, and pubs that Bakewell has to offer. Take a stroll along the River Wye which runs through the centre of the town and walk over the love lock bridge. Bakewell has a popular market every Monday and a farmers’ market one Saturday a month.

The picturesque towns of Matlock and Buxton are easily accessible from Bakewell. Bakewell is also the perfect base to visit Chatsworth House including its farmyard and playground for younger visitors, the farm shop and formal gardens. Haddon Hall is also 10 minutes’ drive away. For keen walkers you are perfectly located to access both the white and dark peak areas of the National Park. For the less adventurous there are local walks that can be done from the house including the Monsal trail which runs along the old Matlock to Buxton railway line and now is flat, car free walking and cycling route.

Lindum Cottage is located within a highly sought-after area of the Peak District. It lies about 5 miles from Bakewell and 9 miles from Buxton in the picturesque village of Monyash, which is everything you would imagine a Derbyshire village to be, with a café, greens and a pond, as well as a local pub serving delicious home cooked meals. You are spoilt by walks and trails, whether you want a short drive out to Chatsworth or to stay close to home and head to the High Peak Trail, there are ample of options available for you. The nearest towns of Bakewell, Buxton and Ashbourne are great to explore with independent shops and cafés.
If you want to try more adventurous activities besides walking, you can take a trip to Castleton and head into the Caves or Alton Towers theme park is only a 35-minute drive. There is plenty to do for all the family to enjoy. After your fun filled day out retreat to Lindum Cottage, with its cosy atmosphere, this cottage has been loved by families for many years.
