Located on a quiet private lane this quaint three bedroomed cottage will accommodate up to six guests and has lots of space with a great sized dining room, living room and a well-equipped kitchen. There is a large range cooker plus a utility room with washer and a dryer. There is a downstairs double bedroom, and the added benefit of a downstairs toilet. Upstairs are two further bedrooms, one with a kingsize bed and a further bedroom with bunk beds. Hayling Island is one of Hampshire’s best loved places for a family escape. The Hayling Billy Coastal Path is used by walkers, cyclists and horse riders, and is along the bed of an old railway line between Havant and Hayling Island. Further along the coast is Funland Amusement Park and the 2-mile long seaside railway. Windsurfing was invented on Hayling Island, and it is also renowned for its great sailing and nautical activity including kayaking, power boating, jet skiing, kitesurfing and water boarding. The island offers plenty of places to dine out, most easily reached by bike or foot, plus an array of takeaways and an award-winning fish and chip shop. There are also a number of small supermarkets to choose from, Mengham is the largest and centrally located of the island’s shopping areas, just 16-minute walk from Selsmore, with independent shops including butchers, green grocer, baker and post office.
Further afield is Portsmouth with waterside dining, ferry trips to the Isle of Wight, designer outlets, Natural History Museum, Spinnaker Tower, and the HMS Victory to name a few. The beautiful Fishermans Cottage has a modern airy coastal feel. The kitchen is well-equipped and the cosy, comfortable living room has a Smart TV with access to Netflix and iPlayer. The sun room at the back looks over the garden and has a second Freeview TV, and there is a ground floor shower room. On the first floor is the master bedroom which hosts a beautiful oak kingsize bed, and the Bosun’s Locker has a trio bunk bed; there is a dedicated workspace is in this room. You will also find a second toilet on this floor. Up a steep staircase to the second floor, you’ll find The Captain’s Cabin with a double bed and distant views of the water. The sunny garden has two dining areas for morning or evening sun.
There are many walks and bike rides from the cottage, and you can SUP/kayak, go crabbing or launch a boat from the slipway at high tide.

Shorefield Country Park is a family-run holiday park on the south coast near the New Forest. The on-site facilities (by leisure pass purchased from the owner) include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, manned by trained lifeguards, an outdoor adventure playground, spa, steam room, sauna, gym, tennis courts and crazy golf. Daytime activities include bingo for children, the Mini Forester’s Club with activities designed for children upto 4 years old so they can have fun and get messy. The Forester’s Club provides lots of fun and games for children between 5 and 11 years old. At Family Time, join the team for some great activities that are suitable for and involve the whole family. There is a mini disco with songs and dancing for the little ones. Other activities include tribute acts and live singing, Play Your Cards Right and a fishing lake (by the lodge, rod licence required). There is an arcade which has the old fashioned penny drop games, and ancient and fairy woodland walks. Enoy the facilities offered at Shorefield’s sister park, Oakdene, which is approximately 8 miles away and which has an Escape Room adventure.

There’s lot of things to see and do in the area, with the beautiful New Forest National Park on your doorstep, where you’ll find wild ponies, cows, donkeys, deer and occasionally pigs. It is a beautiful area to explore during any season, either on foot, by bike (can be hired at Burley) or on horseback at the local riding stables.

Milford is fantastic village with a small supermarket, superb bakery, chemist and an array of tempting eateries for all ages, including Indian, Thai and Italian restaurants, plus an award-winning fish restaurant. There are also a couple of bars and good local pubs. Kayaking and watersports can be arranged from the village. Leisure passes to use the amenities can be purchased direct from the owners after you have booked your stay. There is also an on-site shop selling an extensive range of goods.
