Located in the very centre of this bustling seaside resort, Seaview House is just yards away from the seafront as well as being close to a number of bars, restaurants, shops and cafés. There are miles of beach to explore with lots of dog friendly sections for your furry friends. The bright lights of Blackpool are just 4 miles away and can be reached on foot following the promenade along the seafront. Here you’ll find its many attractions including, Blackpool Tower, Pleasure Beach and Blackpool Zoo. Just a few miles further will take you to the rolling sand dunes of Lytham St Anne’s and the cosmopolitan Lytham which holds annual events such as The Proms and a kite festival. Venture inland and you’ll find the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, known for its picturesque country villages, wonderful walking and friendly local pubs. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is also within easy reach as is the Lake District National Park.

The market town of Clitheroe is regarded as the capital of Lancashire’s Ribble Valley and apart from its Norman castle, has a great selection of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. Other popular towns and villages within the Ribble Valley include Longridge, Chatburn, Ribchester, Waddington and Whalley. With stunning scenery and lots of charming country pubs, the Ribble Valley is perfect for walkers and cyclists. The Forest of Bowland, which is one of the UK’s designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, covers over 300 square miles of rural Lancashire, and North Yorkshire is right on the doorstep. Other popular walks include Pendle Hill and the Tolkien Trail. The Forest of Gisburn is just 12 miles away. Other popular activities nearby include golf, fishing and swimming.
Families with children will enjoy Clitheroe Castle Museum, 1.5 miles, Bashall Barn, 4 miles, and Bowland Wild Boar Park, 10 miles. Located within a close distance to Lytham St Annes’ beach as well as being a short 3 miles to Blackpool’s beach, this is the perfect spot to retreat to at the of your fun filled day. Enjoy the fresh sea air on the property’s patio with a coffee in the morning whilst planning your day head. On the ground floor of the property there is a well-equipped kitchen, cosy living room with dining table and chairs, comfortable sofas and an electric fire providing extra warmth. On the first floor there are three bedrooms made up of a double, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom which has a pull-out bed underneath.
A short walk from the property you will find yourself in the centre of the town with all the amenities it has to offer such as your seaside gift shops, convenience stores, pubs and restaurants. If you enjoy a swing at golf, there are multiple courses close by to the property. In Blackpool try your luck in the amusements, or if you are a thrill seeker then spend the day at Blackpool Pleasure Beach theme park, there is also a Madame Tussauds. There are many walking routes from the property with the most popular being Wolfhole Crag and the trail of the Way of the Roses. There are many things to do in this location to suit all family and friends, having Lytham House as your base is the best way to finish off the day!

This detached house lies just yards from the seafront, and offers a sea view from the top window. Knott End is a seaside village overlooking Morecambe Bay boasting a selection of shops, drinking establishments and cafés, including a very popular ice cream parlour. There is also a golf club and plenty of coastal walks for those wanting to get out and about. Other places that are worth a visit along the Fylde coast include Thornton Cleveleys with its old fashioned charm and promenade, 9 miles; Fleetwood with its Freeport Outlet Shopping Village, marina and beach, 12 miles away; and of course Blackpool, whose many attractions include The Tower, Blackpool Zoo, Pleasure Beach, Sea Life Centre and Madame Tussauds. Apart from being accessible for the coast, Oakland is also ideal for exploring rural Lancashire. The Ribble Valley, with its pretty villages is within an hour’s drive, and is an excellent choice for walks and country pubs. The Forest of Bowland, a a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, can also be reached within an hour’s drive. The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are also very accessible by road and can be reached in an hour, whilst the city of Lancaster is just 14 miles away. Beach 550 yards.

Belmont is a wonderful detached bungalow that can be found in the small village of Hesketh Bank, just 20 minutes from the Victorian seaside resort of Southport. Bright, airy, spacious and newly renovated in 2020, it’s a wonderful base for couples and families, and their four legged friends. Hesketh Bank itself is home to ample local amenities including a high end supermarket, farm shop and takeaway. In the neighbouring village of Tarleton you’ll also find a café and a couple of pubs serving good food.

An area popular with bird watchers and nature lovers, the Ribble Estuary Natural Nature Reserve is 5,000 acres of salt marsh and is less than 3 miles away. It’s home to an impressive range of wildlife, with more than a quarter of a million migrating water birds feeding in and around the estuary. There’s also Hesketh Out Marsh, Marshside and Martin Mere Nature Reserve all easily accessible.

For lovers of the great outdoors, a network of footpaths and dedicated cycle routes radiate from the area, and in Southport you can pick up the Trans Pennine Trail. The popular seaside town of Southport has lots to offer, including 22 miles of coastline and the second longest pleasure pier in the British Isles. There are shops, bars and mouth-watering restaurants, together with traditional seaside amusements, a cinema and an indoor water park. The train station in Southport provides easy access to both Liverpool and Chester for anyone craving the bright lights and culture of a big city.

Other places of interest nearby include the National Trust’s Rufford Old Hall (10 mins) and the National Trust’s Formby, a glorious beach with dramatic sand dunes, surrounded by sweeping coastal pinewoods (40 mins). Slightly further afield, the Ribble Valley and city of Lancaster can both be reached in about an hour, and just a little bit further again is the southern Lake District National Park or the Forest of Bowland (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). A few miles inland is the neighbouring village of Thornton, where you’ll find more shops, pubs and restaurants together with an 18th Century windmill and Wyre Estuary Country Park. The bright lights of Blackpool, Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Blackpool Tower are just 4 miles round the coast, and a few miles further you’ll reach the beautiful sandy beaches of St Annes and, wonderfully cosmopolitan, Lytham. Further amenities can be found in the market towns of Kirkham and Poulton-Le-Fylde which are around a 15-minute drive and home to ample places to eat and drink, together with a vibrant nightlife.
The Fylde coastal resorts of Blackpool, Lytham, St Annes and Cleveleys can be reached in around a 20-minute drive and between them is much to see and do. In wonderfully cosmopolitan Lytham there is a variety of bars, cafés, boutique shops and restaurants, and in St Annes you will find a beautiful sandy beach with colourful beach huts. The area is internationally famous for golf and the towns also host various events throughout the year, including the Lytham Proms and St Annes Kite Festival. Blackpool needs little introduction with its many attractions including the famous tower, Madame Tussauds Waxworks, the Sealife Centre, Pleasure Beach and Blackpool Zoo. For a change of scenery the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is much loved for its stunning countryside and picturesque villages, can be reached in about half an hour. An hour’s drive can take you to the Lake District or city centres of both Manchester and Liverpool. Beach 9½ miles.

Marrion House is set in the peaceful village of Overton, an historic fishing village, and 1 mile to Sunderland Point, surrounded by salt marshes between Lancaster and Morecambe. There are wonderful views of the Lancashire countryside and the Lake District fells in the distance.

It’s remote and secretive split of land allows the chance for nature to thrive, and thus, is a perfect spot for bird watching. The popular seaside resort of Morecambe hosts many attractions from picking up the freshly caught shrimp at the daily farmers market to afternoon tea’s on the seafront, there is lots to offer. There is an abundance of fun to be had for the family including bowling, cinema and arcade centres or why not try out the quirky cafés, pubs and cocktail bars along the sea front?
The property is just a 5-minute drive from the M6 motorway making it easily accessible to the south Lake District National Park and North Yorkshire. For golfers, Heysham Golf Club is just 2 miles away, and there are also courses at Morecambe, Lancaster, Kirkby Lonsdale and Silverdale. Beach 3 miles.

The Lancashire mill town of Bacup is around a 2-mile drive, and here you’ll find a comprehensive range of shops and amenities. Located on the Lancashire/Yorkshire boundary, it’s also home to Stubbylee Park which has an outdoor gym, tennis courts and an off road cycling ‘pump track’. Rawtenstall is around a 15-minute drive and boasts cobbled streets, a thriving market and local independent businesses. It has one of the best dry ski slopes in England and is also the northern point of the heritage East Lancs Railway.
The mountain bike trails of Lee and Cragg Quarry can be picked up just outside Bacup, and the surrounding countryside including the nearby Rossendale Valley is popular with walkers and hikers. Other local attractions include The Whitaker Art Gallery, the ’Singing Ringing Tree’ and the ’Halo’, Burnley and Rossendale’s panopticons, and the National Trust’s Gawthorpe Hall. Finally, the city of Manchester is around a 40-minute drive or a 30-minute direct train from Walsden or Todmorden train stations.
