There are miles of beach to explore with lots of dog friendly sections for your furry friends. The bright lights of Blackpool are just 4 miles away and can be reached on foot following the promenade along the seafront. Here you’ll find its many attractions including, Blackpool Tower, Pleasure Beach and Blackpool Zoo. Just a few miles further will take you to the rolling sand dunes of Lytham St Anne’s and the cosmopolitan Lytham which holds annual events such as The Proms and a kite festival. Venture inland and you’ll find the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, known for its picturesque country villages, wonderful walking and friendly local pubs. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is also within easy reach as is the Lake District National Park.

The Forest of Bowland, which is one of the UK’s designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, covers over 300 square miles of rural Lancashire, and North Yorkshire is right on the doorstep. Other popular walks include Pendle Hill and the Tolkien Trail. The Forest of Gisburn is just 12 miles away. Other popular activities nearby include golf, fishing and swimming.

Upstairs is the master bedroom, with its peaceful décor and a sumptuous kingsize bed, pride of place together with the family bathroom. Four legged furry friends are welcome to stay, and there’s permit parking available for one car.
Blackpool needs little introduction and offers plenty to do for the entire family, with most of the action taking place around the popular promenade which stretches for 6 miles. Little Om is around a 10-minute walk from North Pier, meaning a vast majority of great attractions are easily accessible by foot. To name but a few, Madame Tussauds and SeaLife Blackpool are around a 20-minute walk, the famous Blackpool tower is 15 minutes, and the historic Winter Gardens around 10 minutes. The closest tram stop is North Pier which operates a regular service from Blackpool South right the way up to Fleetwood, meaning you can really travel in style.
Having so much to do and explore right on your doorstep, you’ll be hard pushed to know where to start. Pub within a mile.

Morecambe is a seaside resort with a sandy beach and long promenade. On the north end of the promenade, you can find Happy Mount Park, open all year round. A traditional park with an adventure playground, summer splash area, sports pitches, events, and cafe. On the southern end of the promenade an internationally renowned Art Deco hotel, designed by Oliver Hill and restored for the 21st century. Non-residents can enjoy sophisticated glamour, afternoon tea and classy cocktails here. For wetter days or evening entertainment, a bowling alley is located on Central Promenade with its ten bowling lanes, a restaurant and a bar. If you wish to venture further, historic Lancaster is a short drive away. Lancaster Castle is a must see, as is a visit to Willamson Park and Butterfly House. Foxstones Farm House dates back to the 1600s, originally being one large hall, now functioning as three properties. Formerly a dairy and beef farm, the property has been carefully looked after by the same family for around 90 years; the current owners being the third generation of the same family!
