This region is also very popular with nature lovers, bird watchers and cyclists all taking in the shoreline, woodlands and marshlands (where you will also find the RSPB Leighton Moss close by).

The property is situated between Cumbria, Yorkshire and Lancashire, which makes exploring the North West of England incredibly easy, and the motorway is just a few minutes’ drive away. The Yorkshire Dales offers fantastic walking, waterfall trails, caving, the Three Peaks challenge and stimulating cycling routes, and is only a 30-minute drive. If shopping and history is more up your street, then just 15 minutes’ south you can be in the wonderful city of Lancaster, boasting a bustling high street and food markets every Wednesday and Saturday. Ribble Valley with its pretty villages is within an hour’s drive, and it’s an excellent choice for walks and country pubs. The Forest of Bowland, which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, can also be reached within an hour’s drive. Just a few miles further will take you to the rolling sand dunes of Lytham St Anne’s and the cosmopolitan Lytham which holds annual events such as The Proms and a kite festival.
