The hut is heated by the indoor fireplace which also doubles up as the barbecue/water boiling facilities (kettle provided). This is glamping, so the hut only has one socket (enough to charge your phone) and one strip light. There is a superb, separate compost toilet and shower, which is located in a separate little hut complete with solar light and solar driven water for handwashing. The hut is located at the bottom of the field surrounded by trees, nettles, grass and all field-related outdoorsy stuff! This is an ideal choice for couples and friends to enjoy local attractions and walks right on your doorstep.
Altham is a quiet village in the borough of Hyndburn in Lancashire. A village pub, local shops, petrol station and takeaways are all within a few miles. A popular and scenic area, Pendle Hill is within easy reach of the site, as is the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which offers ample opportunity for remote walking and cycling away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. An easy journey under one hour will take you to the city of Preston in one direction, and historic Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales National Park in the other. Pub and restaurant ¾ mile.

In central Blackpool yet tucked-away on a quiet residential side street away from the hustle and bustle is the wonderfully calm and serene Little Om. Upon entering the cottage you’ll find a beautifully presented living room with a double sofa bed, and a well-equipped kitchen. Upstairs is the master bedroom, with its peaceful décor and a sumptuous kingsize bed, pride of place together with the family bathroom. Four legged furry friends are welcome to stay, and there’s permit parking available for one car.
Blackpool needs little introduction and offers plenty to do for the entire family, with most of the action taking place around the popular promenade which stretches for 6 miles. Little Om is around a 10-minute walk from North Pier, meaning a vast majority of great attractions are easily accessible by foot. To name but a few, Madame Tussauds and SeaLife Blackpool are around a 20-minute walk, the famous Blackpool tower is 15 minutes, and the historic Winter Gardens around 10 minutes. The closest tram stop is North Pier which operates a regular service from Blackpool South right the way up to Fleetwood, meaning you can really travel in style.
Having so much to do and explore right on your doorstep, you’ll be hard pushed to know where to start. Pub within a mile.

A four-piece bathroom is also on this floor having a corner bath and shower cubicle. There is one small parking space to the rear of the property and additional parking on the road in front. Two small dogs are also welcomed to this property.
Morecambe is a seaside resort with a sandy beach and long promenade. On the north end of the promenade, you can find Happy Mount Park, open all year round. A traditional park with an adventure playground, summer splash area, sports pitches, events, and cafe. On the southern end of the promenade an internationally renowned Art Deco hotel, designed by Oliver Hill and restored for the 21st century. Non-residents can enjoy sophisticated glamour, afternoon tea and classy cocktails here. For wetter days or evening entertainment, a bowling alley is located on Central Promenade with its ten bowling lanes, a restaurant and a bar. If you wish to venture further, historic Lancaster is a short drive away. Lancaster Castle is a must see, as is a visit to Willamson Park and Butterfly House. Heysham village boasts The Royal Hotel having a sound reputation for great food with a large outdoor bar and seating area to enjoy the summer months. There’s a couple of quaint tea rooms and Glebe Gardens in the grounds of St. Peters Church overlooking the bay is worth a visit. From the village, you can also walk to Half Moon Bay, a sandy beach with grass-covered dunes and low cliffs.

The Haven, a cosy and inviting cottage, is accessed via an external stone staircase. A small hallway leads to the elegant living room where you will find plenty of comfortable seating, an electric fire, and a Smart TV, perfect for cosy nights in after exploring the area. Across the hallway is the dining area with seating for four, as well as a sideboard with board games and a retro radio which also plays vinyl records. In the kitchen, there are all the modern conveniences, and the kitchen also leads to the outdoor seating area. A spacious master bedroom with a king size bed is located on the first floor, the room is elegantly furnished to enhance the original stained-glass windows, this room also has a Smart TV. The second bedroom is accessed via a low head height doorway, the children will love it, and adults will need to take care, this room has a double bed and plenty of storage. There is a WC on this floor plus a full family bathroom adjacent. The bathroom benefits from a shower cubicle, bath, WC and sink.

Outside there is plenty of seating for four, the perfect spot for enjoying a morning coffee or indeed a glass of your favourite tipple in the evenings.

Heysham was a quiet farming and fishing community until 1904 when Heysham Port opened. The village, dating back to Viking times, still has a historic old centre, a delightful maze of winding lanes and picturesque cottages. Discover ST Patrick’s 8th century chapel and iconic rock hewn graves on the dramatic headlands overlooking the bay. In the old centre of the village is Heysham Heritage Centre, housed in part of what was originally a long house it is an unusual example of surviving 17th century village architecture and tells the story of the village’s architecture and past industry in a series of exhibitions. Near the heritage centre there are two cafés, a quirky retro café serving a wide range of interesting cakes and lunches, and the other is known for its traditional homemade fudge. On the same road is a 16th century coaching inn that offers an extensive menu in its popular restaurant, real ales in the covered and heated garden bar. Beach is less than 1 mile away.

Padiham is a picturesque town on the edge of the Ribble Valley, with the River Calder weaving through it.
You’ll find ample pubs and restaurants together with green space and beautiful riverside walks. It’s also home to the National Trusts Gawthorpe Hall, which is a superb Jacobean historic house nestled in the shadow of Pendle Hill. Walkers are well catered for in the area with an abundance of routes for all abilities available in the surrounding countryside, including to the top of the afore mentioned Pendle Hill. Here the views stretch out right across the Ribble Valley, and you can even see the Yorkshire Peaks and Fylde Coast out in the distance on a clear day.
Cycling enthusiasts will love the winding country lanes and secure bike storage is available at the cottage. Nearby the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty can be reached in around 20 minutes and the Yorkshire Dales National Park in around half an hour. Swapping the countryside for coast Blackpool and Lytham St Anne can be reached in under an hour as can the bright lights of the city of Manchester.
