The stately home of Castle Howard is a short drive from the cottage, holding events throughout the year including the summer proms. Spend a day exploring the house and before sampling some of the cakes on offer from one of the tea rooms. The Christmas experience is also one of the very best in the country. There are other stately homes within a short distance of the property, including Duncombe Park and Nunnington Hall. Don’t forget the stunning gardens at Helmsley too.
