The characterful village of Belford is nearby boasting all necessary amenities, whilst only a few miles away are the sandy beaches of Budle Bay and Bamburgh.


This stretch of the Northumberland coast is dotted with harbour villages and castle ruins. The most famous of the nearby landmarks is the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, which draws visitors from around the world. Further north, the historic town of Berwick-Upon-Tweed is known as ‘the last town in England’ because of its strategic border position. Alnwick is a short journey southward, famed for its castle and its rich heritage. More recently, the castle has become a must-visit for Potter fans, as it was used as the setting of Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films. Beach 4½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

Uniquely positioned to offer private access to the River Coquet where salmon and trout fishing can be available to guests, this cosy stone cottage has been sympathetically restored from an original farm building. The accommodation is immaculately presented and has the convenience of being all at ground floor level. The living room and kitchen/dining room both have lovely arched windows where the extensive landscaped grounds can be admired, or take a gentle stroll to the riverbank and watch the Coquet ebb and flow. Refurbished in 2021, every room has been newly decorated, the bathroom has been totally re-tiled, there is new artwork and all soft furnishings have been replaced. Guests are treated to a welcome pack which contains free range eggs, scones and jam from the local bakery, fresh milk, treats for dogs and a picnic set for day trips. Sea View at Lamberton has 180 degree panoramic views of the sea with views towards Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands. The good size garden and elevated timber decking viewing platform will be a great place to enjoy the outside. This farming two storey property sleeps six comfortably in three bedrooms. One of the double rooms is on the ground floor with the remaining twin and double bedrooms upstairs. The bathroom with shower over L-Shaped bath are on the ground floor. A fairly well-equipped kitchen has a little utility area off to the side to allow for that extra little bit of practical space you always need. Of course we always hope for great weather when we are away from home but if the weather isn’t great there is an open fire for those cold and grim days. This really is a fabulous property to spend your break. So easy to get to, so easy to access places of interest and activities either by road or by rail from Berwick and so fantastic to be able to enjoy those views of the sea at the front and side and then open country and hillsides from the other side of the house.

Seascape is located in a fabulous area of Cullercoats near lovely cafés, restaurants and bars only a short stroll to the local shops. A light and airy two-bedroom ground floor apartment suitable for couples, friends or a small family. With great attention to details the apartments has a secure rear area for sitting out and ideal for storing surf boards. This area around Whitley Bay and Tynemouth is a wonderful place to stay and a stunning part of the coastline with a fabulous flat promenade that stretches all the way along to Tynemouth where the Priority sits at the end. The whole area of this coastline has hidden cafes along the beach and is a super location for adults and children. You will have the view of the sea right from the doorstep, and the beach is roughly only a 5 minute walk.
The nightlife thrives in Tynemouth and Whitley Bay has the treasure of the Spanish City completely renovated providing an area for entertainment with a champagne bar and restaurants. A theatre is nearby and plenty of amusements for the children. You can easily travel all over the Northeast from here, the nearby metro is perfect for visiting Newcastle a vibrant city full of life and culture, hop on to Tynemouth and visit the wonderful weekend indoor market dubbed the Covent garden of the north.
Visit North Shields Fish Quay to spot the catch of the day and finish off your day or evening at one of the many restaurants along the Quay front. Visitors to this area will not be disappointed with something to do for all ages in and around Cullercoats.

The moment you approach this beautifully converted chapel you know you’re in store for a lovely stay in a unique property. The large wooden chapel doors open to reveal a big hallway with a couple of rooms leading off to the sides. Alnwick Castle and Gardens is also an interesting place to visit and even more so with the added attraction of Lilidorei a fabulous adventure play area for children up to 12 years (pre-book). The dramatic castle, still home to Duke of Northumberland, was the location used for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The Hemmel is an excellent base for those who enjoy a tranquil setting with stunning rural views yet conveniently situated to explore the 20 miles of beautiful heritage coastline designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
