Although we kindly ask that your furry friend remains on a lead in the garden, they can freely explore the 5-acres of private woodlands and paddocks which is fully enclosed to roam freely.

Welcome to Bridge Cottage, a beautiful riverside haven set in the hamlet of Henley, close to the town of Langport. As the electric gates open you will get a glimpse into the large private garden, as you drive around the corner Bridge Cottage will be waiting for you. Inside, on the ground floor, you enter into the large boot room and hallway, to the right you will find the spacious and welcoming kitchen/dining room, which is extremely well equipped with all you will need to create everything from the simplest meal to a sumptuous feast. The living room has gorgeous, beamed ceilings, comfy sofas to sink into are centered around the wood burner, perfect for cosy evenings after a day exploring. The cinema room has a large corner sofa, 75” Smart TV and sound system, so close the blinds and snuggle up to watch a blockbuster movie!
Upstairs, each bedroom has been lovingly decorated in its own unique style. The master bedroom has fabulous river views, double bed, dressing area, TV and en-suite shower room. Bedroom two has twin beds, TV and river views. The further three bedrooms are all doubles with a TV in each. The main family bathroom has a dual ended bath, separate shower cubicle and heated towel rail. Outside, the large garden is mainly lawned and has a fabulous patio area with comfortable garden furniture, the ideal spot for al fresco dining. To the rear of the garden, you have the games house, with table tennis and dartboard, many hours will be spent here having friendly (or very competitive) tournaments! There is a further chilled summerhouse that has spectacular views along the river and is the ideal space for some relaxed reading or a drink of your favourite tipple!
You have gated access to the River Cary and during the summer you can take rowing boat for a paddle along the river! There are many walks to be enjoyed directly from Bridge Cottage or head over to Langport, park up the car and walk the Parret Trail along the River Parret and enjoy the local shops and restaurants in Langport. For a dose of ancient history, head to Glastonbury with its Medieval Tor and eclectic mix of shops. For the bargain hunters among you, Clarks Village in Street with its designer outlet is a must visit! The beaches of Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare are within an easy drive away for a dose of traditional seaside fare!

Wells is England’s smallest city set around a cathedral; Wedmore is a lively town with many individual shops and eateries, Glastonbury is famous for its music festival, spiritual culture and King Arthur legends, and the coastal resorts and magnificent beaches at Weston-super-Mare, Burnham-on-Sea, Berrow and Brean are all within a short drive, as are the cities of Bath and Bristol. Dunster Castle Apartments, situated above the owner’s popular coffee shop, offer a very good level of first and second floor, self-catering accommodation. They are located within a Grade II listed building in the heart of the pretty, medieval village of Dunster. If you are looking for the perfect base whilst exploring this popular part of Somerset, then look no further. To add to their appeal, the owner is happy for you to bring your pets so you can really enjoy your holiday. There are shared grounds where you can sit out after a busy day of sightseeing, and the owners also provide a welcome pack/hamper.

All the delights of Dunster are on the doorstep. The apartments are almost next door to the entrance to Dunster’s imposing National Trust castle with a working water mill, deer park, and ancient priory. The bustling high street has a range of shops and plenty of places to enjoy an afternoon tea or an evening meal. Dunster is also host to the annual ’Dunster by Candlelight’ festival. Held in December, this really is a spectacular event, so book early.

Both apartments have an allocated parking space in the National Trust overflow car park which is just a short walk from the apartments. During your stay at Dunster Castle Apartments, there is much to see and do. There is superb scenery and walking on the South West Coastal Path or inland on Exmoor with highlights such as Dunkery Beacon, Tarr Steps, and Countisbury Head. Looking towards Minehead, there is a good range of shops and amenities. It is also home to the West Somerset Steam Railway which runs between Minehead and Bishop’s Lydeard. Further along the coast are the villages of Watchet, Porlock, and Porlock Weir. The Victorian villages of Lynmouth and Lynton, famous for the National Trust’s Watersmeet Gorge, Valley of the Rocks, and the funicular cliff railway, are well worth a visit. Mudford is a lovely village set on the outskirts of the popular town of Yeovil, with a fabulous farm shop nearby offering delicious local produce and a 17th century inn serving wonderful meals are both within a 10-minute walk. Further afield, Yeovil has a great selection of shops, bars, and restaurants to explore and enjoy. The National Trust properties of Montacute House, Lytes Cary Manor and Tintinhull Garden are within a 15-minute drive. Ham Hill County Park is wonderful for walks, offers spectacular views from the monument and has a fabulous country pub service local food, cider and ales. Langport is within easy reach with its River Parrett trail or head to Glastonbury for some ancient medieval history and eclectic shops.

The Piggery is finished to a very good standard and located in the charming village of Carlingcott, just 6 miles from the centre of Bath, allowing you to mix both country and city living into your holiday!
Head up the drive and through the wooden gates to The Piggery. Outside you have a private gravelled courtyard with bistro seating, perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine after a day out exploring, there is also a free to use electric vehicle charging point. The nearby ancient Medieval towns of Wells and Glastonbury are packed full of eclectic charm, and Glastonbury Tor is well worth the walk up to marvel in the stunning Somerset views. The Piggery is also ideally located near to local wedding venues such as Priston Mill or Wick Farm. Moorlands is a wonderful holiday home located in the charming village of Chilcompton, refurbished in 2022 to provide luxurious accommodation, perfect for all the family!


Pull into your driveway where Moorlands awaits you, step inside the hallway where the vaulted double height ceiling floods the room with light. There is a piano and reading nook to be enjoyed here.


The spacious living, dining and kitchen areas are open plan with wonderful views from the large patio doors over the garden. The living area has stunning feature wallpaper, lighting, comfortable yet stylish seating and an awesome real flame gas fireplace.


The dining area has a large table with ample seating and statement lighting while the fabulous well-equipped kitchen which includes a boiling water tap, wine fridge and designer extractor, shows the high level of fixtures and fittings you can expect. Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom with en-suite facilities, and a door leading to the garden with a terrace, perfect for your morning cuppa.


A utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer can be found on the ground floor.


Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms which all lead off the galleried landing, one is a super king size bed which can be twin beds on request, one with a king size bed, one with double bed and another with double bed and single bunk on top. The two family bathrooms can be found on this floor, one with a large walk-in shower and the other, a large walk-in shower and stunning stone pebble shaped bath. Both bathrooms have been finished to the highest standard and offer luxury living. A hot tub can be hired (at a cost) with prior arrangement with the owner giving an extra feel of luxury to enjoy a little bit of R&R.


Heading outside, the extremely large garden is mainly laid to lawn, with 2 wonderful seating areas to enjoy. There is space for all the family to play endless games while around the side is a lovely vegetable garden which guests are welcome to use, and a hot and cold dog wash is provided for your convenience. A beautiful river runs around the garden of the property and care has been taken to enclose the garden, but children and animals should be supervised at all times.


Set between the cities of Bath and Wells, you will never tire of things to do while staying here! Bath with its fabulous architecture, riverside cafes, boutique shops and spas is a delightful day out, as is England’s smallest cathedral city of Wells with its outdoor market, cafés, and restaurants.
