    Rue Hayes Farm Cottage can be found on the friendly owner’s working farm, set amongst the most glorious countryside on the south western edge of the Peak District National Park. Rue Hayes Farm first appeared in historical records in the mid 17th century, and has become a site of historical interest following the recent discovery of a hoard of over 50 Saxon silver half cross coins on the farm. The hoard has been sent to Birmingham Museum so they can assess their historical importance.

    Magnificent views surround the property, which was completely renovated in 2018, and guests are welcome to walk in the owner’s woodland grounds. A path runs through the farm which leads to walking and exploring direct from the door. Dovedale, the Manifold Valley, and the Manifold Cycle Track are all within easy reach, together with local cycle hire if you don’t want to bring your own bike.
