You will be spoiled for choice when it comes to activities in the area. It is a great location for walking or cycling, lying between the South Downs Way and Monarchs Way within the South Downs. There are many sites of historic or natural interest to visit, including the historic town of Arundel, Chactonbury and Cissbury Rings and the Weald and Downland Museum. Beaches and water sports are nearby at Worthing, Shoresham-by-sea, Ferring and Littlehampton, and shops and restaurants can be found locally in the village of Findon or further afield in Brighton or Horsham.

Perfectly situated only 50 yards from the beach, this ground floor holiday apartment is the perfect location for your beachside break. With ample space to leave your cars, bikes, surf and paddle boards, you will be spoilt for a choice of activities. The large kitchen at Marine House has everything you could need for your staycation, from the chilled wine cabinet to the magnificent range cooker. There are two double bedrooms, one with a super king size bed and the other with zip and link beds for flexible sleeping arrangements. The huge bathroom is very opulent, with the most amazing slipper bath and massive walk-in shower, easily one of the best rooms of the apartment! There is also a comfortable living room and a separate dining room to the front of the building with beach views - the perfect place for you to sit and eat dinner after a busy day on the water or exploring all that Sussex has to offer.
This is the quintessential seaside stay, Marine House is situated directly opposite the beach where a multitude of sports activities take place, including kitesurfing, windsurfing, fishing, and swim meets. From this advantageous location you can follow the promenade all the way to Brighton if you want, easily done on such a beautiful stretch of coastline! The Goring-by-sea Greensward, a fantastic 2 mile stretch of village green, is only a few minutes’ walk away and is perfect for picnics and barbecues or a game of football or cricket. The South Downs National Park is only a 10-minute drive and a perfect day out for the family, and the local leisure centre has great swimming facilities for adults and children alike. The WOW (Worthington Observation Wheel) offers stunning long-range views of all these wonderful Sussex coastline spots. The historic town of Arundel is only a few miles away, the picturesque streets and Castle Cathedral are the beginnings of a fine day out, finishing with a trip to the Arundel Wildfowl and Wetland Nature Reserve. To the east is the bustling city of Brighton, promising a great evening out, and 15 minutes to the north is Cissbury Ring, where you will see impressive panoramic views over Sussex. The famous Goodwood Estate is only 30 minutes further up the A27, offering a range of activities including the motor circuit racecourse, the aerodrome and a championship golf course. Not forgetting the Festival of Speed, the Goodwood Revival and the Glorious Goodwood festivals.
The owner is extremely welcoming and more than happy to help arrange access to the nearby Sailing Club. Marine House will be a place for some wonderful memory making and photo opportunities! Beach 50 yards, shop, pub and restaurants all within ½ mile.

The terraced property is located on the outskirts of Bognor Regis and the local area has plenty to offer to make your stay memorable. Bognor Regis is one of the most popular seaside resorts on the south coast of England, boasting lovely beaches, fun at Hotham Park, great family activities at the Butlin’s resort and much, much more. The South Downs National Park is also nearby for scenic walks, or there are plenty of attractions within easy reach, including many National Trust properties.
A little further afield you could take a trip to Chichester, where you can visit the town’s 12th-century cathedral and admire an area that is steeped in history. Check out Arundel with its historic castle and Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, which is situated only 10 miles away and provides a good day out. The Goodwood Estate is well worth a visit and is situated just a short drive away, where you can enjoy an event at the racecourse, or simply just walk round and admire the beautiful estate. Also worth a visit is Fontwell Park Racecourse, which is only 8 miles away. You can jump on the train at Bognor Regis station and travel east towards Brighton, which is known for its cosmopolitan feel and has the Royal Pavilion, art galleries, theatres, extensive shopping, marina and other facilities. Alternatively head west to Portsmouth and its historic dockyard, and admire the Spinnaker Tower, historic ships or waterside dining. For an excellent day trip, take a ferry across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Set within the South Downs National Park, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this ground floor apartment, adjoining the owner’s home, lies in the pretty west Sussex village of Findon. A plethora of trails and walks are available, and the area is well known for its prize winning horses and trainers. You can spot the horses in action on the gallops, where you can also see barn owls and kestrels. Findon is home to a traditional Sheep Fair and Village Festival, which is held at Nepcote in September. Walk part of the 100-mile South Downs Way with historic woodlands where you can smell the intoxicating scent of the bluebells in the spring. Look out for roe deer and red kites, and you may even be lucky enough to see hares boxing. Paragliding, hang gliding, golf, zorbing, mountain boarding and water sports are all available nearby. The coastal town of Worthing, where you can stroll along the promenade or the award-winning pier, is 5 miles away. Other places to visit include RSPB Pulborough Brooks nature reserve, 8 miles, Parham House and Gardens, 7 miles, and Arundel with its historic castle, 10 miles. A little further afield is Petworth House (National Trust), 17 miles, and Goodwood, 19 miles. There is an open-air swimming pool in the village, open May - September (times vary). Beach 5 miles. The Stables is one of two newly built farm cottages set in a courtyard of a 16th-century thatched house. Surrounded by over thirty acres of fields, sometimes grazed by sheep it is a haven for wildlife and birds and a great space for a morning run or private dog walk.
There is plenty of space for kids to play outside of the garden area. Stylishly and comfortably furnished with wooden floors and open rafters, the cottage has a light, airy, and modern feel. Bedrooms have full doors which open onto a garden area with fields beyond. We are located between West Wittering famous for its sandy Blue Flag beach and dunes and the walled City of Chichester with its historic cathedral, a famous theatre, and many other attractions. Nearby Goodwood hosts world-renowned racing and motorsport events. You can fly in a Spitfire (expensive) from its aerodrome or at least hopefully see one flying over from the cafe or at the beach. Itchenor is a short distance here you can hire a boat or get the foot ferry across to picturesque Bosham. Boat trips into the harbour and fishing trips can also be booked. There are paddle boards, surfboards, and kayaks for hire, and lessons are available, Chichester harbour is an ideal place to practice or learn. There is a pay-and-play 18-hole golf course close by. Walking on the many beautiful coastal paths offers bird-watching opportunities and there are some lovely walks in the nearby South Downs. The Down and Weald Open Air Museum can be found here, a unique day out and where The Repair Shop is filmed.
Portsmouth is a 20-minute drive, its historic shipyard houses the Mary Rose and there are many more museums here as well outlet shopping at Gunwharf Quays. Ferry/Hovercraft to the Isle of Wight. National Trust properties at Arundel and Petworth are set in pretty market towns. Uppark is close by too along with houses/ gardens at West Dean and Cowdry. There are some lovely pubs and dining in the vicinity as well as cafes and more well-known restaurants in Chichester. The county is also home to many vineyards open for visitors. The bus stops for the beach/East Wittering and Chichester in the other direction are almost outside the property. The Stables and The Dairy can be booked together to accommodate eight.

With more than 60 acres of ponds lakes and reed beds Arundel Wetland Trust attracts some of the world’s most spectacular ducks geese and swans. The best way to enjoy the river is on a river cruise stopping off at the pub or proceeding further north where the river hugs the scarp wooded slope at the foot of the Downs before reaching Amberley. Further afield Arundel is well placed for the coast. Climping Beach and Littlehampton’s West Beach are only a short drive away heading south directly from The River House. This is a beautiful unspoilt length of beach and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Goodwood with its Festival of Speed Revival and Qatar Festival (Glorious Goodwood) and Fontwell racecourses are nearby along with the cathedral city of Chichester with its excellent Festival Theatre noted for not only the quality of productions but also the fact many world premieres are featured as well. Downsview Park is ideally situated just over a mile south of the beautiful town of Arundel. Individual shops, stunning architecture, imposing castle and riverside location make this a must spend day or two during your holiday. The WWT Wetland Centre, Swanbourne Lake and South Downs National Park with its pretty villages and fabulous hiking opportunities are all within 5 minutes. Numerous stately homes and gardens are dotted around the area. Goodwood with its world famous motor circuit and horse racing venue is a 20 minute easy drive. The pretty grass runway airport here offers the chance to take an airborne sightseeing experience offering memorable views of the coastline including Portsmouth Dockyards, Gunwharf Quays and the Spinnaker Tower that by road are a 40 minute drive. Lunch or tea airside in this stunning location is also possible. Dogs are welcomed everywhere at Goodwood. Two championship golf courses are on the estate and spa experiences available at the hotel. Tours and afternoon tea are available also here at the stately home. Chichester with its cathedral and Festival Theatre are a short drive, Brighton being 18 miles distant. Dog friendly beaches abound with quite a collection very nearby, a favourite being West Beach at Climping where there is the lovely Baliffscourt for a special dining treat.

Stairs lead from the dining area to the first floor. A charming flint cottage set in a wonderful South Downs hamlet with stunning countryside views and walks on the doorstep. This former farm building was once part of the Duke of Norfolk’s Estate and now is a wonderful holiday retreat with panoramic views of the South Downs.

Patching is a quaint village centred along ’The Street’. At the top as the lane climbs towards the South Downs is the church and beside that the Walnut Tree Cottage. Footpaths lead from here to the Downs on a number of different routes. To the east is Long Furlong, a magnificent crescent-shaped piece of downland - it’s like the South Downs in miniature. It is easily reached from the neighbouring village of Clapham where a walk along the top gives great views inland. Take the downland paths around the woodland of Angmering Park and you reach the attractive villages of Wepham and Burpham 3 miles to the west. Like Patching they lie at the foot of the Downs and are frequented by walkers. The George and Dragon is a traditional English country pub set right in the heart of Burpham and is worth visiting - it is hard to pass by when enjoying a walk to Burpham!

On the ground floor is a lovely cosy living room with a Smart TV, a separate dining room with a decorative feature fireplace and Smart TV and a fully equipped kitchen that backs onto a private garden, which has an undercover area great for al fresco dining. The Farm Cottage is next door to a pub and within walking distance of several large supermarkets and shops.
Bognor Regis is becoming one of the most popular seaside places to visit. With large expanses of sand at low tide and the 3-mile-long promenade, which stretches from Felpham to Aldwick. Along the promenade, are a number of places providing hot and cold food and drinks as well as those all-important ice creams and fish and chips. The promenade train is a great way to enjoy the views. The seafront and Butlins swimming complex is around a 15-minute walk from the cottage and 10 minutes from the historic Hotham Park, which has a children’s play park, boating lake, café and miniature railway.
There is a lot to explore in this area of the south coast with the historic city of Arundel, home of the stunning Arundel Castle and Gardens. Take a break from sunbathing and swimming and head up to the glorious South Downs for a gentle stroll or a bike ride. The very popular attractions at Glorious Goodwood and Fontwell Racecourse plus Worthing, Brighton and Portsmouth are an easy drive. The cathedral city of Chichester is only 5 miles away, with broad streets packed with listed buildings, most notably the towering presence of the cathedral; all neatly enclosed within the ancient but fantastically preserved Roman city walls.
