The larger property, Bodrydd (ref UKC3283) boasts a truly luxurious interior, with a sumptuous living room with a baby grand piano, and a gas wood burner set into a beautiful stone inglenook fireplace. From the living room, doors lead through to a fabulous conservatory which has views across to the on-site coarse fishing lakes, open to the public. The location on the stunning Llyn Peninsula affords many wonderful walking opportunities, and the pretty fishing village of Aberdaron is close by with a small selection of local shops, pubs and cafés, as well as the fascinating National Trust’s visitor centre, Porth y Swnt. There are many unspoilt beaches to be found in the region, where seals and dolphins can sometimes be spotted. Lively Pwllheli, with its weekly market and larger selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, is 17 miles away, whilst the Snowdonia National Park, with its dramatic mountain scenery and exhilarating outdoor pursuits, is within easy reach. Between March and October you can enjoy the Bardsey Island boat trip, the 12 seater leaves from Porth Meudwy, a short drive from Aberdaron. You can expect to spot Seals, Porpoises and a fabulous diversity of seabirds during the journey. You’ll also get to spend 4hrs doing your own this on this magical, mystical Island. The headland at the tip on the Llyn Peninsula, Uwch Mynydd is not to be missed, enjoy coastal walking at its very best, superb views of Bardsey Island to the west and mountains of Snowdonia to the east. 10 miles from Abersoch and 12 miles from Morfa Nefyn, day trips are easy if you fancy a change of scene. A local minibus runs in the summer months, ferrying people from one coastal village to another for a minimal fee, a great way to enjoy the landscape without having to watch the road, it also affords you the option of having a pub lunch and drink at one of the top ten beach bars in the world.

Listen to the birdsong that permeates from here and use the binoculars provided to watch cormorants, sea eagles and herons. Relax on the patio areas, perfect suntraps and barbecue after a day’s exploring. Stroll down to the village, 5 minutes away, where there is a lovely sandy beach with stunning views of the two small islands known as the ’Isle of Gulls’. A perfect spot to relax and for children to build sandcastles and potter about. Culinary delights await at the various restaurants and fish and chip shops. Buy locally at the small supermarket a few minutes walk away, lovely supplies of local meat and fresh fruit and vegetables. Go to local thatched roofed bakery for bread, cakes and great cooked breakfasts. Visit the National Trust visitors centre next to the beach and learn the history of this unique area. Whistling Sands(National Trust) only a couple of miles up the coast a delightful bay where children will delight in the fact that the sands really do whistle! Find your perfect cove when walking the Coastal Path, Nefyn and Morfa Nefyn beaches are an easy drive. Visit Abersoch with wide sandy beaches excellent shops and lively restaurants and ever popular Llanbedrog Beach with candy coloured beach huts.

Aberdaron has two pubs serving great meals, one with a terrace directly overlooking the beach, two tea rooms, a fish bar, an ice cream parlour selling award-winning ice cream and an excellent bakery with a tea room upstairs. The Spar has a post office counter and the Eleri Stores sells fishing tackle, frozen bait, newspapers, lottery tickets and freshly cooked takeaway pizza. The National Trust interactive visitor centre in Aberdaron promotes the many attractions of the Llyn Peninsula. The ancient church of St Hywyn’s in Aberdaron was the last stopping off point for pilgrims to Bardsey Island. There is so much to see and do within 200 yards of Bodarfor! Uwchmynydd is a heath covered headland above the village and is and home to a variety of rare plants and birds - an ideal spot from where to catch sight of elusive Bardsey Island which is invisible from the village or the Peninsula.
