The holiday cottages (refs. OZ3, OZ4 and OZ5) are located just yards away from the Wales Coast Path, which leads to a lovely pebble backed sandy beach whilst affording wonderful bird watching opportunities on the way. Foryd Bay, where the properties are located, is a designated RSPB Lapwing reserve and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The Slate Landscape of Northwest Wales has also become the UK’s newest UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2021. Within easy driving distance there are a myriad exciting activities including mountain biking, surfing, sailing, excellent walking, riding and golf. The properties are also conveniently located for Zip World.
Caernarfon, with its magnificent castle, and a fine selection of shops, restaurants and pubs is just 4 miles away, and is also the start of the Welsh Highland Railway for scenic journeys into the heart of Snowdonia. Tai Coch Chatham is a perfect location for relaxing winter escapes and summer beach holidays. Shop and restaurant 2½ miles, pub serving food 1 mile (seasonal).

Situated down a quiet lane you’ll find this ideally located home. There’s a spacious open plan living area with a cosy wood burner - perfect for colder evenings. There’s also a fully equipped kitchen with everything you’ll need for your break. The bedroom has been finished off with quality bedding and a plush mattress to ensure a restful night’s sleep. Outside there’s a lovely, enclosed, private seating area; a fantastic spot to sit and relax in after your day’s adventures, with a gentle stream running through to really add to this relaxing spot. You won’t be disappointed staying here!
All amenities are close by, with a pub and shop in nearby Bontnewydd. Only a short 5-mile drive takes you down to the beautiful beach at Dinas Dinlle, which is well worth a visit, with wonderful views across the bay to Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula. The area is a designated Site of Special Scientific interest due to a number of rare birds that live in the area; a must for any bird watchers. For the more adventurous, you’re only a short drive from many walking routes that will take you up Mount Snowdon, for the less adventurous there’s always the easier route up by train on the famous railway in Llanberis. And no visit to this area would be complete without taking in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Caernarfon Castle. You’re also only a short drive to Zip World, the longest zip wire in the world! What a magnificent area this really is!

Enter through the front door of Johaan to the ground level where you will find a twin bedroom, family bathroom and small gaming TV room/office, complete with built-in desks, gaming console and wall mounted TV, perfect for teenagers. Head downstairs to the lower ground floor where you will find a well-equipped open-plan kitchen/diner. Continue through to the cosy living room complete with comfortable sofas and large wall mounted Smart TV. A further two bedrooms and a shower room can be found on the first floor. There is a small enclosed rear courtyard garden with BBQ and garden furniture, perfect for enjoying a drink in the evening.
Caernarfon is home to an impressive castle whose walls are still visible. Walk through pebbled streets and come across a wide range of shops selling all kinds of curious things. The Quay, under the shadows of the castle, is a lovely area to have drinks at the pub, looking out at the sunset, overlooking Anglesey and the Menai Straits. There are daily fishing and sight-seeing tours on the Menai Straits, leaving from the Quay. There is also a modern harbour, with a cinema and theatre complex, and plenty of restaurants and areas to go for a nice evening stroll along the waterfront.
Snowdonia National Park is just a short drive away, where you won’t be short of activities. Whether you want a gentle stroll to enjoy the scenic countryside or fly down the world’s fastest zipwire, the choice is yours. Johaan offers a fabulous option for friends, couples or families looking to enjoy all that the area has to offer. Pets are also made very welcome.

It’s just a short drive from an award-winning Blue Flag beach, whilst Caernarfon, with its superb castle, is 3 miles and offers a fine selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. The Welsh Highland narrow gauge railway passes close by and makes for a memorable trip into the mountains of Snowdonia, an enormous range of exciting activities and attractions lie close by including Zip World, the longest zip wire in the world. Walking, golf and horse riding can all be enjoyed nearby. Beach 4 miles.

This really is a superb spot for exploring this amazing part of North Wales, where you can enjoy both spectacular mountain scenery and the most amazing beaches, along with a host of family attractions. It really does make a fantastic base from which to explore the Snowdonia National Park whatever time of year, with its cosy wood burning stove and fabulous views.
Pant Du Vineyard is just over half a mile away from the cottage, an absolute must visit whilst here. The many attractions of this area include a narrow gauge steam railway, which winds its way from historic Caernarfon into the heart of the Snowdonia Mountains, and a small airfield for pleasure flights over the area.

The lodge has the rare benefit of a large enclosed garden, along with decking and seating area to relax on after a day at the beach, which is walking distance away. Once inside you’re greeted by a very spacious open plan living space, there’s a quality leather corner sofa with oodles of space for all the family to relax and chat about the day. The two bedrooms have been furnished to a high standard to ensure you have a restful nights sleep, with quality mattresses and bedding, and one has its own en-suite toilet with sink.
Here you’re really in the heart of all North Wales has to offer, with lakes, coastal paths, Snowdonia and popular tourist towns all within easy reach. Dinas Dinlle beach is in walking distance from the lodge, with wonderful views across the bay to the Llyn Peninsula and Anglesey. Caernarfon Castle, an imposing UNESCO World Heritage site, is under 8 miles and where Prince Charles took his investiture. Venture just a little further and you have Pwllheli, Criccieth and Porthmadog, home to the Welsh Highland Railway. There’s something for all ages in this diverse region and it would certainly be a break to remember. Beach ½ mile.
