There are three traditional pub/restaurants in the village serving excellent food, and why not enjoy the local real ales too? The friendly village deli/shop provides for day-to-day needs of groceries and newspapers and there is also a bistro.

    Further along the coast road are many old villages and market towns to explore, such as Wells-next-the-Sea, Burnham Market, Holt and the birthplace of Nelson, Burnham Thorpe, where the parish church lectern is said to be made from timbers taken from his ship HMS Victory. Nearby stately homes with gardens are open to the public, such as Houghton, Holkham and the Queen’s country estate at Sandringham.
