The market town of Coupar Angus is ¾ mile and within walking distance if you fancy a drink or a bite to eat at the local inn.

The area is perfect for walkers and cyclists, as there are plenty of waymarked paths through arable countryside of the Vale of Strathmore through Meigle, Ardler and Coupar Angus to the more challenging glens beyond Blairgowrie. Renowned for its soft fruit, there are plenty of good cafés and restaurants nearby showcasing local produce and a good range of shops locally and further afield in Dundee and Perth. Glamis Castle, the childhood home of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II, and the Pictish Stone Museum, are well worth a visit, and the cottage is within half an hour of the Cairngorms National Park. The ski slopes at Glenshee are a short drive and Pitlochry is within easy reach. Golfers have plenty of courses to choose from including Rosemount and Carnoustie, or explore the clean sandy beaches strung out along the east coast.

Gardeners’ cottage is a unique property comprising of three bedrooms, two doubles and a twin with an ample shower room on the first floor. On the ground floor there is a sunroom looking onto the enclosed private walled garden, a utility with toilet, the kitchen dining space is well-equipped and lighting can be adjusted to suit the mood.
The living room has a baby grand piano, record player and a wood burner, which makes it ideal for relaxing with friends and family or just reading a book in a tranquil setting. During the summer the walled garden is a treat to behold, there is a seating area and is an enclosed space for dogs and children. Fonseca Cottage is a gorgeous, little snug of a cottage hidden in the heart of Aberfeldy. Nestled away on the owner’s very large garden and attached to the owner’s larger property. Renovated throughout and furnished to a high standard, this is the ideal romantic getaway for a couple and yet only a few steps from the centre of Aberfeldy. On the ground floor you will find an impressive well-equipped kitchen, a shower room, a wee snug room with Smart TV, wood burner to cuddle up by in the evening, and the perfect little dining area for enjoying a takeaway or a lovingly prepared meal for a loved one. Upstairs is a very large open bedroom with a sumptuous super kingsize bed on one side of the room, and a double sofa bed on the other, should you need additional or alternative sleeping, and is a great space to relax in and read. Outside the owner has sectioned off a part of the garden specially for guests to sit out and enjoy.
Aberfeldy is a popular town with shops, coffee shops, pub and great restaurants set in some of the most stunning landscapes in Scotland. Just 6 miles away you will find Loch Tay, one of the largest lochs in Perthshire, framed by majestic mountains and hillside farms and cottages. As well as being the popular playground of sailors and water sports enthusiasts, the loch is home to 18 ancient dwellings called crannogs. Nearby to the north, Glen Lyon is often described as the longest, loneliest, and loveliest glen in Scotland, and has a wonderfully mystical atmosphere.

Craigdarroch Cottage is a quaint, newly refurbished coachman’s cottage which dates back some 100 years. It is located in St Fillans in Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. St Fillans is a picturesque village in a tranquil location set on the banks of Loch Earn. The cottage is perfectly positioned for exploring the National Park and the Southern Highlands. Walking, biking, golfing, fishing, and water sports are among the many activities available. Several walks can be taken directly from the cottage; you can stroll along the old railway or venture into the surrounding mountains, both of which give you a stunning view of Loch Earn. There are ospreys on the loch and red squirrels in the nearby area, as well as deer and other wildlife. After a day in the Scottish countryside, you can relax in front of the wood burning stove in the cosy cottage with its loch view.

You can purchase fishing permits here for Loch Earn. There are two hotels in the village which offer evening meals if you feel like dining out, and a bar service; both are dog friendly.
St Fillans has its own 9-hole golf course (voted the best 9-hole course in Scotland), each hole is challenging, and the scenery is breath-taking. There are many golf courses to choose from the vicinity including the prestigious Gleneagles. Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, and Stirling can all be reached by car within 1 hour 15 minutes.

There is nothing quite like this typical Scottish village which sits on the banks of the River Earn in Perthshire, about 6 miles from Crieff and the same distance from the lovely Loch Earn. About a century ago, a town house dating back to the 18th century burned to the ground in the centre of the village. Rennie Mackintosh was employed to rebuild this house, and this remarkable A-listed dwelling is now available for rent as a holiday retreat.
In the staircase’s stairwell is a photo of Mackintosh’s workbook, in his own handwriting, detailing his tenders for the work. As you enter the house from the street, you climb the panelled staircase to the front door. Located on this level is the living area with an open plan kitchen, leather suite, open fireplace and dining area. The kitchen features a fine Art Deco mirror over the original fireplace. In the front room, windows look out onto the nearby churchyard and river, which is only a minute’s walk away, and to the rear, across garden areas. There is a handy toilet on this level too. As this house is cute and quirky head downstairs to the lower level, where you will find two cosy snug double bedrooms (accessed by another Mackintosh staircase’ different from the ones you entered the property). One bedroom, with a lovely Mackintosh-style bed, has a cosy en-suite with a shower cubicle and toilet, and the second double bedroom has what looks like a wardrobe, which if you open, reveals a full size spa bath with shower over.

Ideal for extended families who want a bit of space, the property is a combination of two first floor apartments, the first is accessed via an external staircase, and has two bedrooms, a bathroom with shower over bath and a lovely view over the garden from its balcony in the open plan living room/kitchen. A second apartment also on the first floor is accessed through the large games room on the ground floor via a spiral staircase and comprises a double bedroom on open plan to a seating area and kitchenette, along with a separate shower room. Families and friends can get together and enjoy the brilliant facilities which include a proper cinema room, complete with plush seats and large screen as well as a dedicated games room with table tennis and table football.
Outside, there is a separate garden for guests to enjoy amongst the wonderful scenery surrounding the property. Situated in Blairgowrie by the River Isla, this is a tranquil base to relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside in Highland Perthshire and the Angus Glens. Located down a quiet country lane between Coupar Angus and Blairgowrie, both are a 5-minute drive away, with plenty of good facilities; Blairgowrie has a supermarket, local shops including an award-winning butchers, little cafes and good restaurants. Dundee is a 20-minute drive away and offers a wider range of shops and is home to the V&A museum, Dundee Contemporary Arts and the Discovery and Verdant Works. There is a small airport with flights to and from London City and Belfast City. The Sidlaws is the perfect location to base yourself for exploring the local and surrounding area or just sitting back in the evening and enjoy your magnificent surroundings. There is something for everyone to enjoy here, from golf fishing, to cycling, walking and water sports.

Although very quiet, the cottage is only a few minutes’ walk to the town, where you will find lots of interesting shops, cafés, good restaurants and leisure facilities including two championship courses in the town and an abundance of other courses nearby each with its own special character, as well as internationally famous Gleneagles, St Andrews and Carnoustie a bit further afield. There are picturesque walks along the River Ericht running through the town, which join up with the Ardblair and Cateran Trails.
Ideally situated for exploring the many delights Perthshire has to offer, whether it’s golf, walking, cycling, or visiting local attractions like Glamis Castle, Scone Palace, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the list is endless. The ski slopes at Glenshee are a short drive and the cities of Perth, Dundee or Edinburgh as well as the House of Bruar and Pitlochry are well worth a visit for some retail therapy. Cycling, fishing and tennis are nearby, and excellent hillwalking is available in the Angus Glens. Alternatively, explore the clean sandy beaches strung out along the east coast. Train stations are easily accessible in Perth, Dundee and Dunkeld all within 21 miles of the cottage.

What an absolute gem! This gorgeous cottage set within extensive gardens is in a superb location on the banks of the renowned River Tay in an utterly secluded spot, down a hidden beaten track yet within a 10-minute drive of the Fair City of Perth and all its attractions. A perfect choice for families or friends, it has been superbly renovated to provide extremely comfortable accommodation for discerning holidaymakers, with a warm and welcoming interior and tasteful furnishings. Built in the 1800s, the cottage was originally for the river keeper at the world’s first salmon hatchery, and the ruins of the ‘fishponds’ are visible from the garden today. The owners have made the most of the location with careful design of the garden which leads down to the river, allowing direct access to the riverbank trails along the River Tay, and nearby a well-maintained lade trail which boasts a beautiful scenic walk leading to a small isolated natural beach, Horsey Pool and Stanley Mills.

The owners really want you to enjoy your stay and are very knowledgeable about the river and surrounding area. A nature lover’s paradise, the lade trail offers a rare opportunity to glimpse beavers and otters which are regularly sighted. Other British birds include ospreys, herons, peregrine falcons, woodpeckers, owls and kingfishers, all frequent visitors to the area. The River Tay is of course one of the prime salmon fishing rivers and fishing may be available by arrangement directly with the owner. The area is also abundant in other rivers and lochs all offering outstanding but easily accessible trout and salmon fishing at very reasonable prices.

Of course, you don’t need to be a fisherman to enjoy this cottage. The immediate area has lots more to offer, with Perth itself offering plenty in the way of culture and shopping as well as good restaurants and cafes. St Andrews and Gleneagles, famous for their world-renowned golf courses, are an easy drive with other highly rated local golf courses nearby.

The property is situated on the historic Scone Palace grounds, the crowning place of Scottish kings and the original home of the Stone of Scone, which is open to visitors throughout the year. This is the ideal secluded location for guests to relax and just enjoy privacy, tranquillity and stunning surroundings or to explore all the nearby attractions that Perthshire has to offer.

Located on the north shore of Loch Tay in the peaceful picturesque village of Fearnan, minutes from Kenmore and close to the charming town of Aberfeldy where you will find a lovely selection of local shops, pubs and restaurants.
Set back from the road, this spacious five-bedroom detached house has two car parking space at the front and two along the side of the house. There is also a dining area at the rear of the living room ideal for a family gathering with a direct hatch that leads through to the kitchen. The kitchen comes fully equipped and with views over the loch, great for enjoying your morning coffee. At the end of the hall is another lovely double bedroom. There is space in the shed to store paddle boards or a couple of bikes. Beach 3½ miles.
