Gardeners’ cottage is a unique property comprising of three bedrooms, two doubles and a twin with an ample shower room on the first floor. On the ground floor there is a sunroom looking onto the enclosed private walled garden, a utility with toilet, the kitchen dining space is well-equipped and lighting can be adjusted to suit the mood.
The living room has a baby grand piano, record player and a wood burner, which makes it ideal for relaxing with friends and family or just reading a book in a tranquil setting. During the summer the walled garden is a treat to behold, there is a seating area and is an enclosed space for dogs and children. There is a spacious lawn to the front of the which is not enclosed so pets or young children will need to be supervised. If you need to work while staying at the cottage there is high speed fibre broadband which has recently been installed.
Located six miles from the historic city of Perth, Gardeners Cottage offers a rural location with forest walks and cycle rides on the doorstep. Also, the lochs and river Tay network provide plenty of opportunities for water sports such as wild swimming, canoeing, white water rafting and stand up paddle boarding.

Rowanlea is a delightful holiday cottage in the centre of the pretty village of Muthill, in the heart of the Strathearn area of Perthshire. This lovely property has been renovated to a good standard and thoughtfully furnished to provide everything you will need for a self-catering holiday. On the ground floor guests will find a cosy living room with a wood burner, as well as the contemporary kitchen/dining room with oak work tops, floor to ceiling windows and patio doors leading to the garden. There is also a garden room which is a fabulous place to relax and unwind, with a wood burner, perfect for lazy afternoons on cooler days. The floor to ceiling windows on three sides let the sunlight flood through and boast views over the garden. The first floor lays claim to three sumptuous bedrooms, all boasting fantastic views over the garden, as well as a family bathroom. The large garden has been thoughtfully designed, ideal for children to play or for the whole group to dine al fresco.
There is much to explore in Muthill, down the ancient lanes there is an old church dating back to the 12th-century, children’s play area, a renowned restaurant, café, ice cream parlour, local pub, shop and a 9-hole golf course. Crieff is only 3 miles away and is a great day out where you can visit a whisky distillery, crystal factory shop, deli and café selling local produce, craft shops, galleries, local shops and a super market. There are regular events throughout the year including the Crieff Highland Games and the Drovers Walking Festival. The area provides outdoor activities for all abilities, and if you prefer more strenuous activities, then mountains Ben Vorlich, Ben Chonzie and Ben Lawers provide excellent walking with water sports on Loch Earn and mountain biking. For the less energetic there are riverside walks along the banks of the River Earn and Turret. The area is also steeped in history with historic castles and monuments to visit. Famous for being in the TV show Outlander, Drummond Castle Garden is 2 miles away, as well as other locations seen in the show such as Doune Castle and Hopetoun House. Stirling, Perth, Edinburgh and Glasgow are easily accessible for day trips. Glenshee, Scotland’s largest skiing area, caters for all year round sports activities including fishing, mountain biking, abseiling, hang gliding and paragliding. There are several excellent golf courses in the town and local area, including a championship course a mile away as well as the Rosemount and Lansdowne courses. Gleneagles, St Andrews and Carnoustie are within an hour’s drive. Explore the many castles, stately homes and gardens nearby, including Glamis and Scone Palace. The cities of Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen and Edinburgh are all within easy driving distance. Relax in the garden with a glass of wine after enjoying this beautiful area and all it has to offer. Golf, cycling, gliding, riding and fishing are all nearby. Glenfarg, a historic village offering a small paper shop is 0.75 mile and there are several local produce farm shops within a 15-minute drive. Nearest pub and restaurant is approximately 3½ miles.

For a change of scenery, head east towards the coast where beautiful beaches, high cliffs and quiet coves can be found at Lunan Bay, or the Seaton Cliffs at Arbroath. There is plenty of culture to be found in nearby Dundee, 17 miles away, where the Victoria and Albert Museum is located, as well as the RRS Discovery and plenty of good shops and eateries. This is a fantastic area for golf enthusiasts with a selection of country courses in Alyth, Blairgowrie and Kirriemuir nearby, and the famous links course at Carnoustie, all an easy drive. This 17th-century cottage, sits next to a small brewery in a small village on the outskirts of Pitlochry; which is a small but bustling town, with a good variety of shops, places to eat and a theatre that puts on summer shows. A traditional cottage it is ideal for guests wishing to enjoy a comfortable holiday break – whatever the season. Some superb golf (8 golf courses in less than 8 miles) and fishing can be enjoyed in the area, and there are numerous castles, gardens and distilleries to visit. Why not start your exploration closer to home however and follow any of the pleasant walks available directly from the doorstep. This is a marvellous centre from which to tour the moorlands and dramatic river scenery. Shop ¾ mile, pub 100 yards.

This cosy, detached cottage is set in the small town of Pitlochry and offers an excellent holiday base for touring Perthshire, with the attractive towns of Blairgowrie, Dunkeld and Aberfeldy within easy reach. Glenshee, Scotland’s largest ski resort, is one hour away and a short walk from the cottage will give you a choice of bars, restaurants and shops. The property is just a few minutes from the River Tummel, famous for its salmon fishing. On the outskirts of the town lies an 18 hole golf course with wonderful views across the Tummel Valley. For family entertainment, the Pitlochry Festival Theatre is a must, Faskally Woods and Pitlochry Putting Green are also worth a visit. There are plenty of country walks and cycle paths with lots of wildlife to look out for including deer, wild birds and red squirrels. The historic town of Perth is only 26 miles away.
