Stepping inside, on the ground floor you will find a cosy lounge with wood burner, perfect for chillier evenings, and comfortable seating to relax in after a day exploring the area, together with Freeview TV. The wonderfully light and modern kitchen/diner comes extremely well equipped with a second Freeview TV, plus everything you need for a wonderful home-cooked meal, with an electric oven, gas 5 burner hob, and dishwasher. There’s also a utility room with a fridge/freezer, wine cooler, and washing machine.

Heading upstairs you will find the family bathroom with a P-shape bath and shower plus a heated towel rail. The bedrooms have all been decorated in calming colours for a restful night’s sleep and have plenty of storage and hanging space. The master bedroom has a king size bed, bedroom two has a double while bedroom three has a single bed.

Outside, the south-facing garden, with two decks, is a great size and is mainly lawned, perfect for your two and four-legged family to let off some steam running around and playing games. Speaking of which, at the bottom of the garden you will find the games cabin with table tennis and a decked area with a table, chairs, a corner sofa, for relaxing, firepit and barbecue for your alvfresco dining! Head into the cosy games cabin when the sun goes down.

A fantastic holiday home located just a short walk from Minehead’s town centre and beautiful seafront, with sandy beach and harbour, surrounded by shops and an award-winning Indian restaurant, 2-minute walk. Local pubs are a 5-minute walk giving you the option to leave the car on the driveway and explore on foot. Hire bikes, paddle boards and kayaks from Channel Adventures on the seafront.

Minehead Golf Course, founded in 1882, is Somerset’s oldest and is open all year round. Minehead is also a bustling seaside resort with plenty of things to do and there are many shops, bars, and restaurants to sample as well as three supermarkets within a 5-minute walk! Take time to explore, get lost and find hidden rivers, old-fashioned tea rooms and country pubs. The village of Dunster has its beach, plus its castle and cobbled streets are a must-do while here. Dunster by candlelight in December is a magical experience! Drive along the coast and spend time in Porlock, ride the cliff railway that links Lynton and Lynmouth or wander around Watchet. Exeter is just over an hour away and Taunton is 45 minutes. You’ll be spoilt for choice with things to do while staying at The Warblers! Beach ½ mile. Pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Welcome to Thornes Farm Cottage, a delightful home from home nestled on the owners’ farm and set at the foot of the Quantock Hills - a fantastic base to explore the area from! Inside the cottage you have a step up from the hall to the kitchen/dining area, which is very well equipped with everything you will need during your stay. Head through to the living room with its French doors that look out over the garden and fields beyond. There are also comfy sofas which are ideal to snuggle up on after a day out, and the wood burner is perfect for those cooler evenings to relax in front of with a cuppa or something stronger! Step down into the inner hallway, where you will find the bedrooms (two double and one twin) and the shower room that has underfloor heating to save you getting cold feet after your shower!
Outside, from the French doors you have a small sunny seating area, perfect for your morning hit of Vitamin D, in the afternoon the larger enclosed courtyard to the front is the ideal sun trap and a wonderful place to enjoy al fresco dinners or laze the afternoon away with a good book. Set on the owners’ working farm, there is always something going on around you, whether it be the cows coming in, the horses galloping in the fields or the sheep grazing lazily. At certain times of year, the owners would be delighted to show you new-born lambs, calves and even kid goats! Stabling is available at cost by arrangement, which is perfect as the rides around here are endless across the Quantocks. The Coleridge way passes within half a mile.
There is so much to do nearby you will be spoilt for choice! Exmoor and the Brendon Hills are easily reached on a day trip. Pop on the Exmoor coaster, one of the UK’s most spectacular open top bus rides. Explore the beaches of Minehead, Blue Anchor or Doniford Bay, wander around the harbour at Watchet, hunt for fossils at Kilve or jump on the West Somerset Steam railway that chugs merrily along from Bishops Lydeard through the countryside and along the coast to Minehead. Tropiquaria is a great day out for the family or head over to Lynton & Lynmouth to ride the Cliff Railway, the highest and the steepest fully water-powered Victorian railway in the World! Pubs 1 mile and 1¼ miles. Beach 3 miles.

The beautiful West Somerset Steam Railway, which runs through Blue Anchor, has a stop here and they offer wonderful trips as well as speciality trips with steam fairs, afternoon teas, candlelight dinners and the amazing Santa Express! Nearby, head to the medieval village of Dunster with its wonderful castle, spend a day at the arcades or shopping in Minehead, pop to Watchet and stroll around the Harbour or head inland onto Exmoor.

The living, kitchen and dining area are open plan with eco-friendly bamboo flooring throughout. With the living area having a gorgeous, handcrafted sofa made here in Britain, art from a renowned local artist, electric wood burner effect fire and Smart TV. The elegant kitchen has a solid quartz worktop, and everything you will need to prepare a simple meal while staying here. The stunning shower room is finished with black Lusso fittings and has a wonderful Italian stone basin. As hard as it will be to tear yourself away from The Cosy Cabin, there is a plethora of things to do nearby. From the beaches of Weston-super-Mare and Burnham, to the old fashioned pier and town of Clevedon, or the modern marina at Portishead with its harbourside restaurants, perfect for al fresco dining. Only 12 minutes away, you have the city of Bristol with its wonderful shopping centres, fabulous mix of restaurants and bars, sports stadiums and museums. For a dose of history, why not head to Bath and marvel at the architecture, walk the cobbled streets, or enjoy a day at the Thermae Spa? Cheddar Gorge and Caves are within easy reach; sample some local cheddar, climb Jacobs Ladder or walk through the gorge and spot mountain goats on the rocks! Beach 3½ miles.

Situated just on the outside of the seaside town of Clevedon on the Severn Estuary of North Somerset, Dowlais Farm is a beautiful place for a peaceful retreat. Russet Barn is an ideal base for a relaxing break, family holiday or romantic getaway.
Clevedon is a beautiful seaside town located in the cider loving county of North Somerset. Hosting spectacular countryside, incredible wildlife, the world’s second largest tidal range and the only Grade I Listed Victorian pier in the country, there are many things to see and do in the local area. The open plan living space is lovely and light with its sky light and beamed ceiling, comfortable sofas, and Smart TV. Wonderful for enjoying your morning coffee whilst watching Netflix or sitting in front of the log burner in the evening. The well-equipped kitchen has all the supplies you need as well as a coffee machine with a couple of complimentary pods.
On the ground floor you will find the kingsize bedroom as well as the family bathroom; head up the stairs through the open plan living space to the twin bedroom with two single beds. The barns can sleep up to four guests with an additional sofa bed for a child in the living room. Escape to these barn conversions that have been lovingly restored by the current owners in 2022, where you can indulge in the comfort offered.
This is a great area for walking or cycling along the North Somerset coast. The properties are directly on the brand new ‘Pier to Pier’ cycle track (open 2023) and this will give the opportunity to cycle between the piers in Clevedon and Weston-Super-Mare. The properties are about 700 yards from Clevedon Golf Centre where adults and children are always welcome to play, no booking necessary. The wider garden is shared with the other cottage, and is enclosed when the gate is shut. Clevedon has a lovely little harbour as well as a beautiful sea front with views across to Wales. There is a seawater lake used for swimming all year round (£1 honesty box charge). Other water-based activities are available (paddle boarding, sailing etc.) There is also an arcade, as well as a good number of cafés and pubs along the seafront. You can also visit Ladye Bay, a lovely, secluded pebble beach bay, which is within walking distance. The busier Weston-Super-Mare is only 10 minutes down the motorway, or a little bit longer along the cycle path. There is the Grand Pier with lots of arcades as well as a sandy beach. You can also be in the city of Bristol within 30 minutes.

Many walks can be taken directly from the doorstep, or why not hop in the car and explore the villages that make Exmoor so special, with hidden country pubs sat on the banks of winding rivers to quaint tea rooms with homemade cakes and doorstep sandwiches?

Head to the coast and walk around the harbour of Watchet, play the arcades in Minehead, or take the dog to Blue Anchor with its long stretch of pet-friendly beach. Further afield you have the towns of Lynton and Lynmouth with its famous cliff railway, the highest and the steepest fully water-powered Victorian railway in the World. If Trains are your thing, then the West Somerset Steam Railway that runs from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead is a must-do day out for all the family.

Welcome to Marram Dune Beach House, a truly exceptional holiday home on the Brean shoreline, with sea views and private access to the beach, this is coastal living at its finest, you will not want to leave! There is so much to do and see on the doorstep, with Breans many bars and restaurants within easy reach as well as the theme park and waterpark just a short walk away! The Animal Farm adventure park is nearby with lots to see and do, including the picturesque National Trust managed coastline at Brean Down offering peace, tranquillity and miles of trails away from the busy seaside resorts of Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea. The local area offers a fun packed holiday for families, as well as the beaches of Burnham, Berrow and Brean offering a seaside sanctuary for those wishing to get away from it all. Take a walk to the headland at Brean Down. Here you can experience the 360 degree views over the sea on one side, and across the Somerset Levels on the other, also on a clear day, you can see both Glastonbury Tor and the Mendip Hills. Wells, famous for its beautiful cathedral, boutique shops and restaurants, is within easy reach. Popular attractions nearby are Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole. Beach 10 yards.

Dunster Castle Apartments, situated above the owner’s popular coffee shop, offer a very good level of first and second floor, self-catering accommodation. They are located within a Grade II listed building in the heart of the pretty, medieval village of Dunster. If you are looking for the perfect base whilst exploring this popular part of Somerset, then look no further. There are shared grounds where you can sit out after a busy day of sightseeing, and the owners also provide a welcome pack/hamper.

All the delights of Dunster are on the doorstep. The apartments are almost next door to the entrance to Dunster’s imposing National Trust castle with a working water mill, deer park, and ancient priory. The bustling high street has a range of shops and plenty of places to enjoy an afternoon tea or an evening meal. Dunster is also host to the annual ’Dunster by Candlelight’ festival. Held in December, this really is a spectacular event, so book early.

Both apartments have an allocated parking space in the National Trust overflow car park which is just a short walk from the apartments. During your stay at Dunster Castle Apartments, there is much to see and do. There is superb scenery and walking on the South West Coastal Path or inland on Exmoor with highlights such as Dunkery Beacon, Tarr Steps, and Countisbury Head. Looking towards Minehead, there is a good range of shops and amenities. It is also home to the West Somerset Steam Railway which runs between Minehead and Bishop’s Lydeard. Further along the coast are the villages of Watchet, Porlock, and Porlock Weir. The Victorian villages of Lynmouth and Lynton, famous for the National Trust’s Watersmeet Gorge, Valley of the Rocks, and the funicular cliff railway, are well worth a visit.
