Swn Y Nant is a stunning lodge in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. This eco-friendly property is perfect for those wanting to explore the area or to simply have a romantic break away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Nestled next to a stream and with a ramp to the entrance, this fabulous lodge comprises a ground floor bedroom with a super kingsize zip and link bed and a ground floor bathroom with a walk-in shower, a double-ended two-person bath and a heated towel rail. The open plan living, dining and kitchen space has floor-to-ceiling windows making it light and airy and has a Smart TV, super fast Wi-Fi up 150 mbps download and patio doors leading to the decked area with a private hot tub. There is also a small utility area. To the first floor is a kingsize bedroom with Smart TV. There is underfloor heating throughout the property with zoned thermostatic controls.
Outside, you will find hot and cold taps, perfect for washing your four-legged friends off after a walk in the hills. This eco-friendly lodge has eco cleaning products which are supplied along with a welcome basket of local produce, as well as a welcome basket for your dog containing treats and eco waste bags, also supplied is a bed, a blanket and a towel for your four-legged friend. A medium sized dog cage is available upon request.
There are plenty of walks to be had from the property; it is 6 miles to the historic town of Brecon with its array of coffee shops, small local independent shops, and art galleries. There is something here for everyone, and for those looking for more adventures then why not climb the high peaks of Pen Y Fan and take in the breathtaking views of the rolling countryside?

This beautiful end terrace period holiday property is situated in the centre of the popular border town of Hay-on-Wye and within walking distance of its amenities. World renowned for books and bookshops and its literary festival, it also has a renovated castle, traditional markets with local produce, art galleries, antique and independent shops, great gastro pubs, restaurants and cafés. There is much on offer in the great outdoors with fishing, horse riding, cycle and canoe hire all available locally. Wonderful walking area with two long distance footpaths, namely Offa’s Dyke Path and the Wye Valley Walk, both with stunning scenery of the beautiful border country. Brecon, Builth Wells and the cathedral city of Hereford are all within easy driving. You’ll find a small children’s play park within walking distance as well as stunning riverside walks, close to the riverside beach, The Warren. Llansantffraed House is a wonderful, spacious property with high ceilings and original features. Dating back to the 1800’s, this property was once home to the Lord of the Manor! This detached holiday home is the perfect place for larger family get-togethers and for groups of friends alike.
The property comprises a large living room with a wood burner and a separate sitting room, a large dining room with a wood burner and spacious kitchen, and utility room. Above the kitchen is a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, and there is also a shower room with a steam/hydro shower on the ground floor.
The large entrance area features a winding staircase that leads to the first floor, where you will find a fabulous stained glassed window overlooking the rolling hills, four comfortable bedrooms and a family bathroom.

There are a number of good walks to be had right from the front door and there is a pub within walking distance - being refurbished and opening in September 2023. You are sure of never a dull moment with plenty to see and do in the area. Visit the Victorian town of Llandrindod Wells, or the market town of Builth Wells, both 6 miles away, home to The Royal Welsh Showground, which hosts many events throughout the year including The Royal Welsh Show, The Winter Festival, The Cob Show and The Dog Show. Th Elan Valley - the Lakes of Wales - are only a short distance away. Whatever you decide to do on your holiday this property will be the perfect base for you and your family.

Gwrlodde, a former farmhouse just outside Talgarth, was completely renovated to a high standard in 2022 with underfloor heating throughout. It features a well-equipped kitchen/dining room with island and a living room with Smart TV and wood burner, as well as a useful utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge/freezer.

To the first floor there is a master bedroom with zip and link super kingsize bed and en-suite shower room, double room with zip and link kingsize bed, bunk bedroom (adult sized beds) and a single room with day bed and pull-out trundle. All bedrooms have USB plugs. The garden to the front of the property is enclosed, with private parking available for 3 cars.

The ancient market town of Talgarth is an ideal base for visitors wishing to explore the Brecon Beacons National Park on foot, particularly as it forms the "Gateway to the Black Mountains". There are wonderful walking opportunities on the doorstep and an annual walking festival in the town in May. Visit the local businesses around the pretty stone streets, where you can find great local produce, watch the gentle river as it flows under the Medieval Tower Bridge or, at Christmas gaze at the dazzling lights. The town offers a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Thanks to the BBC’s Village SOS programme, Talgarth now has a fully restored working water mill with a very popular café. There are cosy pubs with log fires, real ales and home cooked food.

Discover Parc Wood or Pwll-yr-Wrach waterfalls and nature reserve, look at the views from the top of Bronllys Castle, or simply admire the spectacular views from the common land overlooking the town. This Area is of Outstanding Natural Beauty boasts an abundance of wild life including many birds of prey. The nearest beach is 15 miles under half an hour’s drive away, and there are stunning unbroken countryside walks on your door step, which are dog friendly.
Plough Cottage consists of an open plan living space. It has a living area with wood burner, Freeview TV and DVD player and a kitchen area with all the essentials for creating a family meal. The conservatory is complete with a dining table and chairs and there is a family shower room with shower cubicle. Plough Cottage sleeps four guests in total, with a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. Outside to the rear of the property there is a patio area with great views over the rolling countryside, as well as a traditional brick-style BBQ and a seating area for al fresco dining.
There is plenty to see and do in the area such as cycling, mountain biking, fishing, hiking and horse riding. King Arthur’s Labyrinth is a great visitor attraction, taking visitors deep into the mountains of southern Snowdonia. Corris Narrow Gauge Railway, Corris Craft Centre and Corris Mine Explorers are all worth a visit. Beaches are a short drive away, and some are dog friendly. The lovely market town of Machynlleth is just 6 miles away with its wide high street and variety of independent shops, pubs and restaurants. Aberdovey is a thriving seaside fishing village with brightly painted houses which seem to cling to the shoreline and has a history dating back hundreds of years. It offers miles of beautiful golden sandy beaches with a fantastic selection of water-based activities including sailing, fishing and windsurfing. Golfers are also well catered for with an 18-hole championship golf course located at the western end of the village, which welcomes visiting players. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the wonderful opportunities for walking and bird watching in the surrounding area. A myriad of visitor attractions is within easy reach from Plough Cottage. Bryn Teg is a spacious lodge in the heart of Mid Wales, situated near the entrance of the Caer Beris Estate. All on the ground floor, it offers a large open-plan living space; the living area has a two-seater sofa, a three-seater sofa bed, an electric wood burner, a Smart TV with Sky package and patio doors leading to the rear decked area. The dining area has a large dining table able to seat six, and the well-equipped kitchen area has a separate island with a breakfast bar. The master bedroom features a walk-in wardrobe, chest of drawers, dressing table and an en-suite shower room. There is also a further bedroom complete with single bed and single fold-out bed, a large double wardrobe, and a bathroom with a shower over the bath. A utility room, with back door access, completes the accommodation.
The decked area to the rear has upholstered seating and table and chairs, as well as a gas barbecue for al fresco dining whilst enjoying uninterrupted views over the rolling countryside. A variety of wildlife can be seen from the decked area, including red kites, rabbits and a local pheasant complete with wives. Sheep and cattle graze in the nearest field.
The setting is beautifully rural, yet only a mile away from the town of Builth Wells. The town can be reached by car or a pleasant 20 minutes’ walk across the river, past the imposing Caer Beris Hotel and then alongside the tree lined walk along the River Wye into Builth.
Activities nearby include fishing, golf, pony trekking, walking, bike trails and swimming at Builth Swimming Pool. The Royal Welsh Showground is home to the international Royal Welsh Show held in July and the spring and winter. The site also hosts dog shows and antique fairs throughout the year. Brecon Beacons National Park and spectacular Black Mountains are also within easy reach.

Pen Y Crug is situated down a quiet country lane neighbouring a working farm in Llanafan Fawr, and is a traditional Welsh cottage with lots of features and character. The three bedrooms on the first floor are accessed via two separate staircases, one a steep, ladder style staircase leading from the kitchen directly into the second bedroom. The property is situated in a rural location and is perfect for those who want to walk in the open countryside. Ideally situated with walks from the door and for cyclists alike. Plenty of scope for relaxation and ideal for bird watching with the Red Kites and Buzzards being an every day sight. The property is located 6 miles from the market town of Builth Wells, with vast amounts of coffee shops, pubs and restaurants. It is also home to the Royal Welsh Showground which hosts a variety of shows over the year including the Spring Festival and the Royal Welsh Show in July. There are also plenty of animal shows throughout the year such as dog and horse events. For those wanting to take in the countryside, then Elan Valley is 15 miles from the property and has some outstanding views of the reservoirs and dams. There is the famous literary festival at the market town of Hay on Wye just 35 minutes away and the Brecon Beacons within a beautiful easy drive of 17 miles. Situated on the owners 16 acres of land, with a large wildlife pond. There are walks to be had straight from the front door and into Dyffryn woods - the woodland is approximately 260 metres high and gives some great views over Neath, The Bristol Channel and the Gower peninsula on a clear day. There is plenty to do and see from both properties; for those adrenaline junkies looking for some excitement, Bike Park Wales is approximately a 40-minute drive from the property, and Afan Forest Mountain Bike Trails are a 25-minute drive, with masses of trails for mountain bike enthusiasts.
If you tire of the mountains, you are never far from the sea either with Aberavon Beach 9 miles away, and the famous Gower Peninsula only 20 miles away. The National Show Caves for Wales are a short drive from the property and make a fantastic day out with three of the largest caves to experience. Almost directly across the road you will find Craig Y Nos Castle and the attached country park which was formally owned by opera singer Adelina Patti. If you are looking for some retail therapy the property is perfectly located only 3 miles from the historic market town of Neath and 9 miles from Swansea, both of which have traditional indoor markets. Swansea has a lovely marina and a very large beach which continues on to Mumbles where you will find an array of bistros, shops and ice cream parlous where you can try the famous Joes Ice cream. Cardiff is also easily reachable within an hour’s drive, or by train from Neath station. These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 8 guests.
