Welcome to The Old Coach Garage, a recently completed two-bedroom property which has been designed impeccably. From the eco-friendly aspects of solar panels, air source pump to provide hot water, underfloor heating and electric car charging to designing the property to maximise the fantastic countryside views as well as installing Smart high-tech features. Large glass windows, Velux windows and bi-fold doors allow the outside to come in, whilst the glass bannisters make the property feel airy and spacious. The property has parking for one with its own electric car charger, open plan living on the ground floor together with a double bedroom and en-suite. Upstairs is a second bedroom and en-suite. Smart technology has been installed in the property which is easy to use and can be found in every part of the house, from blue tooth mirrors to the closing of Velux windows. Furnished to a very high standard with Oak beams and handrails, the owner has thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. After busy days come back and chill next to the wood burner or sit in the garden and watch the stars. The heated outside shower is great for washing down wetsuits etc and there is plenty of room for paddle boards, surf boards fishing rods and such at the back and side of the property.
Situated in the small village of Gerrans in the Roseland Peninsula, adjacent to Portscatho on the East side, it is 7 miles south Southeast of Truro easy access from the A30. There is so much to do for everyone, from walking and cycling around the coastline to visiting well known sites such as St Mawes Castle built by Henry V111, one of the best-preserved coastal fortresses. Tickets can be purchased from English Heritage for those that want to explore inside. St Mawes is a lovely village on the Fal estuary well worth a visit with its small shops, local cafes and restaurants and pubs. If you go to the Harbour, you will see advertisements for boat trips to the Helford River, Smugglers Cottage, and fishing trips. Enterprise boats are the largest operator and offer a service around the river Fal where you can hop on and off allowing you to visit multiple places. Why not take your car on the King Harry Ferry connecting St Mawes and the Roseland with Feock, Truro and Falmouth? Truro is the capital city of Cornwall, cobbled streets, small alleyways leading to quirky shops it is a fantastic place to explore that is full of history. Visit the museum or Cathedral, take in a show at the Hall for Cornwall. You will be spoilt for choice with the wide variety of restaurants, cafes, pubs, and tea rooms ideal for relaxing during a busy shopping trip. Falmouth another town next to the harbour has a typical seaside feel, full of shops, restaurants, and bars it is also home to the Nation Maritime Museum well worth a visit. If you don’t want to cook, why not pop to the Royal Standard Pub in the square. You will be booking another visit as one is not enough to see everything. Beach 1½ miles. The Bunker is a beautifully converted World War II operations bunker, which now provides unique, comfortable holiday accommodation. It is set in glorious countryside and just a short distance from the famous open air Minack Theatre, Porthcurno Beach, the wide white sandy beach of Sennen and the Legendary Lands End. It’s a great spot for exploring the delights of West Cornwall, including the picturesque valley at Lamorna Cove, the quaint harbour and village of Mousehole, plus the fishing harbour at Newlyn.
The bustling town of Penzance and the historic town of Marazion, home of St Michaels Mount which rises from the sea like a fairytale castle, can be reached on foot by causeway at low tide and small ferry at high tide. The area is a popular walking destination with extensive scenic coastal pathways. The marshes at Marazion and Hayle Estuary attract wildlife and bird watchers from around the world. Locally, you can find cycle trails, sub-tropical gardens, tea rooms and art galleries, including the Tate and Barbara Hepworth Museum at St Ives.
Take the scenic coastal train from St Erth to St Ives or take a day trip to the beautiful Isles of Scilly from nearby Lands End airport or the Scillonian Ferry from Penzance. Return to The Bunker and relax on the patio with an aperitif before heading off to take in an evening performance at the Minack Theatre. Newhaven is a beautifully presented, dog friendly, bungalow with a terraced garden, and a large deck and is ideal for a family with young children, the twin bedroom is pirate themed and there are a wealth of novel garden ornaments including a lobster pot and "smugglers den," a child’s playhouse. The dining conservatory creates an al fresco ambience of dining under the stars but remains cosy with underfloor heating, and winter evenings will be toasty warm in the dual aspect kitchen/living room with the lovely slate fireplace surrounding the wood burner.
Trebarwith Strand Beach is close by and at low tide a large expanse of golden sand is exposed, with plenty of rock pools and a number of caves, just be careful to always check the tide times. Tintagel is well worth a visit, cross the new suspension bridge to Tintagel Castle and Island where medieval fortifications combine a history of the dark ages with the legend of King Arthur to produce a wonderful day out with many different eateries and pubs to sample as a bonus. The coast path stretches along some of the most rugged cliffs in the southwest, where majestic promontories overlook secluded beaches with golden sands and crashing Atlantic surf. A quick drive will also take you to Boscastle, site of the infamous floods in 2004, or the traditional fishing village of Port Isaac where lovely narrow lanes lead to the charming harbour and beach that Port Isaac is so famous for. Situated in a peaceful location, this single-storey barn conversion has been renovated to a high standard and has spectacular views across the Camel Estuary towards Padstow and Rock. Attached to another property, The Linhay features a half-acre enclosed garden surrounded by beautiful countryside, ideal for games and outdoor dining. Ideally situated close to many of the tourist attractions this area has to offer, including Padstow, with its many interesting shops, array of pubs and restaurants and quaint harbour. With panoramic views along the beautiful Cornish coastline and down into St Austell Bay, this detached holiday home is set in an acre of landscaped gardens, approximately 300 yards up from the secluded sandy cove of Porthpean, where visitors can paddle, swim or hire a kayak and explore the coastline from the water. This large, spacious house has everything in it or nearby for a perfect, quintessential Cornish holiday, including coastal walks, golden beaches, quaint fishing villages such as Mevagissey, where a ferry can be taken to Fowey and National Trust gardens and houses aplenty. The amazing Eden Project and the fascinating Lost Gardens of Heligan are both close by. The area is full of natural and man made attractions that make this a choice destination for all the family or groups of friends, with many farm shops selling local produce for that special meal. A golf course that overlooks the bay is a short walk along the lane and an off-road cycle and walking trail through ancient woodland is nearby. Fowey, with its beautiful estuary, Royal Yacht Club, narrow lanes and historic buildings is a must. Meander along its narrow streets and browse many local shops, galleries and crafts shops whilst planning lunch in cafés and restaurants that overlook the estuary and out to sea. Activities include deep sea fishing, river kayaking, sailing and walking. For a more leisurely affair, a local hotel just minutes from the house has an impressive spa and indoor infinity pool for a day of pampering and relaxation. The dramatic north coast is within easy reach, where visitors can surf, watch the waves or visit many of the pretty harbour villages, such as Padstow, Port Isaac or St Ives, all essential ports of call for visitors to Cornwall. These pet-friendly holiday barns are situated less than half a mile from the stunning north coast of Cornwall. The access is via a typical Cornish narrow road with beautiful scenic views of the sea peeping out through the hedgerow on approach. In the heart of this small Cornish hamlet, the barns (refs 30108, 30109, 30110 and 30111) are furnished and fitted to provide a comfortable base from which to explore the many attractions that Cornwall has to offer.
Each barn has a well-equipped kitchen as well as open-plan living. Each has its sitting-out area, which is ideal for watching the wildlife and al fresco dining. Each property also has access to electric car charging points which a charged for use however if you require using the charging points you must bring your lead. Note: there are no local amenities as it is a hamlet, but only a 5-minute car journey to the local village, we suggest you look at the welcome folder in the cottage to familiarise yourself with your surroundings and to discover what amenities are local to your stay.
Guests are close to the coastal path and if you walk north, you will reach Tintagel, the mythical home of King Arthur, with its array of shops, pubs and restaurants. A little further on, Boscastle with its picturesque harbour is a must. A small beach can be reached on foot, approximately ½ mile away. Travelling down the coast, guests will come to Port Isaac, where the TV series ’Doc Martin’ is filmed, and further down the coast, visit the beautiful sandy surfing beach at Polzeath and the dunes at Rock where you can take a ferry across to Padstow. From Padstow, with its working harbour, shops, pubs and restaurants, you can hire bikes and cycle the Camel Trail to Wadebridge and beyond to Bodmin.
Close by is Bodmin Moor, an unspoilt moorland at its best, and for walkers the tors on the moor are a must. Further down the coast is Newquay, with its famous surfing beaches, Blue Reef Aquarium and Zoo and if you travel to the south coast, you will find Looe, Fowey and Mevagissey, just a few of the charming coastal villages. For cycling enthusiasts, there is a cycle hub at Lanhydrock, with some wonderful forest routes to be taken. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.

The championship golf course at Trevose is approximately 2 miles away and for walkers, the coastal footpath is just 3 miles.
