The surfing beach of Polzeath and the family beaches of Rock, Trebarwith Strand and Daymer Bay, on the Camel Estuary, are just a short drive away. Why not hire a bike and explore the nearby Camel Trail from Wadebridge? Down the coast is Port Isaac, where the TV series Doc Martin is filmed, and just a little further along is Padstow where you’ll find Rick Stein’s famous fish restaurants. Nearby you will also find Tintagel, the mythical home of King Arthur. Golf, fishing and horse riding are all on offer close by, and further afield you can experience art and culture with the Minack Theatre, Tate Gallery or the famous Eden Project. Beach 2¼ miles.     Boscastle is one of the most scenic coastal villages in North Cornwall and is perfect for those who want to walk and discover the amazing scenery. It has a lovely small harbour which was built to handle the slate trade from nearby Delabole quarries and is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The medieval harbour is also maintained by the National Trust. Nearby Tintagel is inextricably linked to the legend of King Arthur and is steeped in history. A visit to the English Heritage site of Tintagel Castle, where legend and historical fact alike meet stunning scenery, is a definite must while in the area and for Arthurian enthusiasts, it is unmissable!
    There are many beaches in the area for surfers and sunseekers alike including Trebarwith, Bossiney and the Castle Beach. Much of the North Cornish coastline is owned by the National Trust and is a haven for wildlife, providing fabulous walking opportunities with many well-trodden routes. There are many pretty coves and inlets to discover along this coastline including Crackington Haven, Boscastle and Morwenstow. A little further to the south is the fishing port of Padstow and quaint Port Isaac of Doc Martin fame, and 15 miles to the north is the fabulous coastal town of Bude.
    If you fancy crossing over the border into Devon and enjoy open spaces, then Dartmoor National Park is 30 miles or so to the east where you can enjoy a day of walking and discover the vast moorland and roam the craggy landscape, defined by forests, rivers, wetlands and rock formations or tors. Or search the Neolithic tombs, Bronze Age stone circles and abandoned medieval farmhouses in this amazing landscape! Beach 2¾ miles. Pub and restaurant 50 yards.

    The Leat was completed just a few years ago and this beautiful barn conversion is a spacious and very well presented property. Set out in reverse style, the first floor has a large open plan living room, dining room and kitchen with a lovely high ceiling and exposed beams.
