This mid terrace property boasts stunning sea views to the front and a pretty front garden where guests can unwind and relax after a busy day exploring. There is a fully enclosed patio area to the rear.
The cottage has three first floor bedrooms, including a front room with sea views and a kingsize bed, a rear double bedroom and a bunk bedroom. There is also a bathroom with shower over bath. The light and spacious fully-equipped kitchen with a dining area is ideal for rustling up a family meal or hearty breakfast, while the living room boasts a cosy wood burner.
Perfectly located for exploring the delights of Cape Cornwall, just 1¼ miles away, with its rugged coastline and endless coastal paths and walks. The area is famous for its association with the Poldark TV series and its heritage and mining history.
The property is just a short drive to Sennen Cove with its wide sandy beach and surfing haven. The Minack open air theatre is a must see with the ocean as a backdrop and views over Porthcurno beach. A number of quaint villages and harbours can be found at Mousehole and Newlyn, and the sea faring town of Penzance is close by.
The area is popular for walking, windsurfing, surfing, swimming, cycling, pony trekking and golf, with Cape Cornwall golf course just a mile down the lane. This is the ideal location for exploring this wonderful part of Cornwall with its mining heritage, most recently a back drop for the TV series ‘Poldark’. Visit the lovely Cot Valley in Cape Cornwall, with its rolling landscape, rugged coastline and access to miles of scenic coastal paths. Cape Cornwall Golf club is open to non- members and makes for a great day out for enthusiasts.

Take a short drive to Lands’ End or the beautiful white sandy beach and harbour at Sennen Cove, a popular spot with surfers and those who love the beach. Take the scenic coastal drive from Pendeen to St Ives across stunning moorland, passing the small village of Zennor with its tales of mermaids, an ancient church and a charming local pub.

Be sure to visit the Minack open air theatre, built directly into the cliff face with the ocean as a backdrop. A short drive to Penzance or the historic town of Marazion are great options also, where you can pop over to the small island of St Michaels Mount. Welcome to Hafod, a beautiful Victorian house with panoramic sea views and within walking distance to the town of St Just, the nearest village to Land’s End. You don’t need to go far as you have a variety of shops including a supermarket, a gallery, tea rooms and cafés, plus three pubs, as well as a free public car park in the village. You can leave the car and catch the local buses; you may find this easier in peak summer as you won’t have to worry about parking!
The property has stunning sea views at the front of the property, and at the rear is a private courtyard which leads to the parking area. On the first floor are three bedrooms and the family bathroom with rainfall shower, whilst downstairs the living room again has a cosy wood burner and also boasts sea views. The large dining area leads to a well-equipped modern kitchen with access to the private garden. For those not wanting to eat out, you will find everything you need to rustle up a homely meal - you just need to decide if you want to eat al fresco or sit around the large table.
This is an ideal location to explore the rugged coastline of Cape Cornwall. The coastal paths and walks have remnants of the tin mining that was produced in the area. Geever Tin Mine in Pendeen is 2¾ miles away, well worth a visit, and is surrounded by fantastic scenery and coastal walks. Whilst you are here you can also visit the Pendeen Lighthouse. Just over 6 miles away is Land’s End, which is a brilliant day out for all ages. It’s the most westerly point of the UK and home to the famous signpost, John O’ Groats to Land’s End. Dogs on leads are welcome here, but not allowed in the indoor attractions. Five miles away is Sennen Cove, popular with families as the beach has a gentle slope and rock pools as well as being the most westerly point for surfers. It has a seasonal dog ban, but around the corner is Gwynver Beach which is dog friendly and much quieter. Just over 8 miles away is the stunning beach of Porthcurno, with turquoise water and white sand surrounded by cliffs making this one of the most beautiful beaches. Suitable for surfers and experienced swimmers only, due to the steep shelving, and not suitable for people with mobility issues since the trek down to the beach is accessed along a coastal path which is steep. If you are a fan of the TV series ‘Poldark’ you will be familiar with the landscapes, as there is a lot of history in the area including folk tales of witches at Kenidjack and piskies leading mortals astray. There is so much to do walking, surfing, cycling, water sports and pony trekking, if you play golf bring your clubs and have a game Cape Cornwall golf course a mile down the lane. Artists are drawn to the area throughout the year, and you will find local galleries and studios in the area. Whatever you choose to do, come back to Haford and either curl up in front of the wood burner or sit outside watching the amazing skies while you plan your adventures for the next day. Welcome to Penmarric. This two-bedroom family property is in the village of Pendeen, close to the town of Penzance on the west coast of Cornwall and is suitable for families and couples. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you would need from preparing breakfast to cooking every night. The living/dining room is at the back of the property with views of the garden,and the outside space is ideal if you want to eat al-fresco, have a morning coffee or an evening drink.
There are two pubs in the village, a post office as well as a chip shop and store. On the first and second Saturday of the month you can purchase fresh fish and local produce from the farmers’ market. Pendeen is full of industrial history, situated within the Lands’ End peninsula World Heritage Site and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Discover the history of the Cornish Miners at Geevor or Levant tin mines (featured in BBC ‘Poldark’ series), explore the atmospheric engine houses at Botllack and Crowns engine houses. There is an old arsenic works huddled at the base of dramatic cliffs, as well as ancient sites such as Carn Kenidjack to wander around.
Most people come to Cornwall for the beaches, and you won’t be disappointed, choose from long stretches of golden sand to small, sheltered coves. The nearest is Portheras Cove between Pendeen and Morvah, only accessible by walking. If you want to surf, check the latest surf reports for the best beaches. A mile from Pendeen is the Pendeen Lighthouse, a great place to start a coastal walk from, other options would be to walk from Geevor Tin Mine, Levant Mine, discover Cape Cornwall, St Just and Penzance.
For gardeners Trengwainton Garden in Madron is a must to visit, exotic trees and shrubs make this a magical place to explore. Whatever your budget there is plenty to do and see in the area, good bus routes allow you to visit towns such as Hayle, St Ives and Penzance. Younger ones would love a visit to Paradise Park just under 30 minutes’ drive, or a day trip to Lands End 20 minutes away. Beach 1½ miles.

The house is tastefully furnished and comfortable all year round with a wood burner and central heating. Standing on the headland above the picturesque village of Port Gaverne, the house is a few steps from the north Cornwall coastal path. The beach at Port Gaverne is a 6-7 minute walk away and a little further is Port Isaac, with its huddle of slate houses and narrow alleyways.
The state-of-the-art kitchen is great for catering and cooking the fresh local produce. There are two excellent fish shops in Port Isaac that sell their daily catch of fish and shellfish; specialities are crab and lobster.
Local lamb, beef and pork are all available at the nearby farm shop, which has wonderful views overlooking the sea.
Famous now as the setting for the TV series ’Doc Martin’, Port Isaac is a working fishing village with shops, bars and several top-quality restaurants.
This area is now renowned as a ’foodie paradise’, with several celebrity chefs located here and the area is very well served by a whole variety of dining places to fit every pocket.
Close by is a hotel and next door is a bistro, which has indoor and outdoor dining. There are two Michelin starred restaurants in Port Isaac run by Nathan Outlaw. Nearby in Padstow is Paul Ainsworth’s Michelin starred restaurant and he has a great pub too. Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant and Cookery School are in Padstow. Rick Stein also has a number of other restaurants with varying price ranges.
This is an ideal spot for those who enjoy coastal walks, bird watching, golf, fishing, surfing, sailing, kayaking, cycling or just lazing on the beach. Polzeath’s famous surf attracts all comers, and its glorious sandy beach is just a short drive away. The cliffs, caves and rock pools are a children’s paradise.
Within an easy drive are Padstow, Tintagel, Boscastle, Bude and Wadebridge.
Wadebridge hosts one end of the Camel Trail, with a 5-mile dedicated cycle ride to Padstow on the old railway track, alongside the picturesque Camel Estuary. To the north stands Tintagel’s medieval castle and the quaint fishing village of Boscastle, with Crackington Haven and Bude a little further on. Inland lies Jamaica Inn and Bodmin Moor, the setting for the ’Poldark’ stories.
A few minutes’ walk away is a water sports centre, Cornish Rock Tors, based on the beach at Port Gaverne. They offer kayaking, paddle boarding and coasteering for individuals and groups. Polzeath’s famous surf attracts all comers, and its glorious sandy beach is just a short drive away. Water sports can be enjoyed at Rock, from where a passenger ferry crosses the Camel Estuary to the town of Padstow. Daymer Bay has another glorious sandy beach, and the golf course at St Enodoc is open to the public. John Betjeman, the late Poet Laureate, is buried at St Enodoc Church, with its twisted spire.
