Orchard Barn is a luxurious and spacious three-bedroom barn conversion just outside the small village of South Tawton. Set on a working farm close to Dartmoor National Park, it has been lovingly renovated by the owners in 2021 and lies in a rural setting.

Standing detached, it greets guests with a delicious welcome pack of thoughtfully provided fresh local produce. The owners can supply award winning meat (105 awards) for your stay and their neighbour can supply you with quiches, scones, so you can have a night free from cooking.
The open plan living space includes a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely dining and living area with a wood burner for the cooler months and air conditioning for the summer. The kitchen has a beautiful island worktop with a couple of stools, the perfect spot to plan your day over a morning coffee, and later you can gather round the striking oak dining table for a celebratory meal. The spacious living area combines traditional features of the barn with contemporary touches, and heading upstairs you will find three comfortable bedrooms, each with a super kingsize bed (two of the zip and link bedrooms can be split to accommodate four children in one bedroom if required), two with an en-suite shower room, and the other bedroom has use of the family bathroom featuring a luxurious roll-top bath.

Sit outside and enjoy peace in the garden beside the apple orchard, with its outdoor seating, picnic benches and barbecue with complimentary pack of charcoal. There is also an outside dog shower with hot and cold water. The external games room is a great additional space, featuring a table tennis, pool table, space to store bicycles and surfboards, a washing machine and a tumble dryer.

Set on the north eastern edge of the stunning Dartmoor National Park with walks and cycle paths from your doorstep, you can easily explore the beautiful surrounding countryside and discover the local wildlife, including the iconic Dartmoor ponies. Okehampton is a short distance way and has a good selection of shops, amenities and castle, or walk along the Tarka Trail and the old railway to Meldon reservoir. National Trust Castle Drogo is also nearby for a visit, and Devon’s bustling resorts and beautiful beaches are just a short drive away, including Teignmouth, Dawlish and Exmouth (reached in 40 minutes).

Central to both North and South Coastlines and easy access to the A30, it is easy to get to ‘everywhere’! Oaklands is a luxurious and spacious holiday home set in its own acre of ground, with three beautiful bedrooms, two bathrooms and an open plan kitchen, dining and living area all on the same level. Perfect for a family or a group of friends to relax and get away from it all with plenty of opportunities to spot the neighbouring wildlife in the surrounding fields. The doorways are wide enough for wheelchairs and ramps can be provided over the doorways if requested, however please note the property hasn’t been specifically set-up for wheelchair users so the kitchen and bathrooms may not be suitable The accommodation feels bright and welcoming with high beamed ceilings, underfloor heating throughout and plenty of large windows, patio doors and sliding doors seamlessly blending the living spaces with the outdoor landscape. Guests will love the rural tranquil location with plenty of wildlife, starry skies, distant views of Dartmoor and beautiful scenery that this perfect get away can offer.
The large kitchen is fully equipped with a farmhouse cooker with two ovens and an induction hob, a fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher and a washing machine. After a fun-filled day exploring Devon, gather your friends and family around the large dining table for a celebratory homecooked meal and relax on the comfortable sofas and armchairs or sit outside with a glass of wine and watch the sun go down.
There are three comfortably furnished bedrooms. The master has a kingsize bed, an en-suite shower room and patio doors opening out onto the beautiful decked area. The second bedroom has a kingsize bed and the third has twin beds. The family bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower cubicle, heated towel rail, toilet, wash basin, and a mirror with a shaver socket.

Lurley is located only 10 miles from the rolling wild green hills of Exmoor, where you will find stags, streams and breath-taking scenery, along with the town of Dulverton and Dunster village. Exeter and Taunton are a short 35 minutes drive away offering shops, theatres and restaurants. Within an hour are a variety of beautiful beaches for guests to enjoy on the North and South Devon coast such as Woolacombe, Saunton, Sidmouth and Exmouth. You can also feel the somewhat eerie presence of the tors, seven rocky hills presiding majestically over the moors. Visit National Trust Castle Drogo and Lydford Gorge, quaint towns and Buckfast Abbey. Take a trip to Torbay, known as the English Riviera due to its unique micro-climate; take the ferry across to Dartmouth and the neighbouring town of Brixham, set on and across the River Dart. At the mouth of the river are Kingswear and Dartmouth Castles with the rocky waters of the estuary lapping at their feet. Exeter and its stunning cathedral is just a 10-mile drive, and Exeter Racecourse and Haldon are not far away. A nature trail and cycle route can be found in the Forestry Commission, 7 miles. On the bank of the estuary beside the South West Coastal Path, Mariner’s Rest is the perfect choice for a family seaside holiday, or a relaxing couple’s escape at any time of year.
This waterfront house, situated next door to the owner’s home, is conveniently located just a short walk away from the pretty port town of Bideford, with its pastel coloured houses alongside a tree lined quay. There are stunning views across the River Torridge from the master bedroom and conservatory, and the sunny courtyard garden is an ideal place to sit and relax while you soak up the sights and sounds of the estuary. With so much to do on the doorstep you really can have a break from driving.

There is plenty to see and do with the famous Tarka Trail passing through Bideford for walking or cycling, or why not meander around the many delightful shops, pubs and restaurants that Bideford has to offer? With its regular pannier and water front markets, there is plenty to explore all within walking distance.

Take a boat trip to the nature reserve at Lundy Island or explore the many pretty fishing villages including nearby Clovelly and Appledore. Instow is just 3 miles away and is a pretty, unspoilt, seaside village with large stretches of dog friendly beaches and dunes, fishermen’s cottages, shops and a good selection of pubs and restaurants specializing in locally caught seafood. The wide sandy beach of Westward Ho! popular with surfers, is just 2 miles away with Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe all close by.

There are numerous National Trust properties in the area including Arlington and Hartland Abbey, as well as the RHS gardens at Rosemoor and Docton Mill. Hartland Quay and lighthouse are well worth a visit and for family fun The Big Sheep and The Milky Way Adventure parks are close by. Golfing, riding, fishing, surfing, mountain boarding, karting and high ropes are available locally and the wild beauty of Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin Moors are all within easy driving distance. Little Millhayes is a spacious two-bedroom holiday home located in Upexe, which is a pretty rural hamlet in the heart of the Devonshire Exe Valley countryside. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is also a dining table with six chairs. Please note that the height under the beams in the dining area is under 6ft, and there is a step down from the dining area to the kitchen. The spacious living room is comfortably furnished with two three-seater sofas, a 40” Smart TV, DVD player, an electric wood burner and coffee tables. The patio doors in the living room open out into the garden, which is very pleasant on a warm summer’s evening.
There is one bedroom on the ground floor which has a super kingsize zip and link bed, and there is also a cloakroom with a toilet and wash basin. The second bedroom is on the first floor which is accessed via a carpeted metal spiral staircase. This room has twin zip and link single beds.
The large garden is enclosed by a 6ft wall and two 6ft gates, and has a lovely patio area with a table and chairs positioned under a gazebo, perfect for enjoying a mid-morning coffee or to eat al fresco. There is a lockable barn-store off the garden which houses a tumble dryer for guests to use, and also provides plenty of space to store bikes.
Upexe is located around 8 miles north of the cathedral city of Exeter (about a 15-minute drive), in between the quaint villages of Thorverton and Silverton. Dartmoor, Exmoor and the Blackdown Hills are within easy reach, as well as the beautiful north and south Devon coastlines, which are accessible within an hour, offering sandy beaches and coastal walking. Beach 18 miles. Shop 1¼ miles (Silverton Spar) , pub and dining 1¾ miles (Silverton).

Lemon Cottage is a fantastic 2021 refurbished self-catering holiday property nearby to the owner’s property, in the village of Bickington. Bickington is a village and civil parish in the Teignbridge district of Devon, England, on the east edge of the Dartmoor National Park. The village is about five miles west of Newton Abbot, on the River Lemon. The cottage is also just a 5-minute drive away from the nearby town of Ashburton, with its fantastic local antique shops, restaurants & bakery. In addition, Lemon Cottage is a 10-minute drive from Dartmoor and the famous Haytor Rock, a great day out for walking/hiking with a picnic and taking in the natural beauty and wildlife.

As you enter Lemon Cottage, there is a handy area for your coats and shoes along with dog beds for those four-legged friends. There is also a wet room by the front door, perfect for rinsing down after a day on the beach, or cleaning up mucky paws. Through the entrance hallway and into the fitted kitchen with breakfast bar overlooking the living/dining area. The living/dining area benefits from a cosy wood-burner to sit in front of playing board games, and has French doors which open out onto the rear garden. The rear garden is mainly lawned, but also has a small patio area, partially under cover with seating to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening or a fresh morning coffee. The rear garden boasts a hot tub, absolutely perfect for unwinding after a long day!

The first floor of Lemon Cottage is where the main bathroom is located, with bath & shower over as well as large double sink. Next to the bathroom is a double bedroom. Onto the second floor, and there are a further two bedrooms, a small twin room and a second double bedroom. All in all, Lemon Cottage is a beautifully cosy cottage with all the facilities you could want for a great holiday.
