The Old Stables is one of six dotted around this stunning courtyard setting and has been converted to a good standard throughout. The property offers exposed beams and is full of character, really giving this holiday home a unique feel. Stable doors welcome you into the open plan kitchen and living area, and upstairs there are two bedrooms and a super bathroom complete with a spa bath.
The Old Stables is located in the very heart of the wonderful Derbyshire Peak District National Park and benefits from an elevated position with views that can be enjoyed from the master bedroom stable door. Over Haddon itself is a lovely village offering visitors excellent walks, a local village pub, an award winning café, and let’s not forget the nearby spectacular limestone Lathkill Dale. It is an ideal position from which to enjoy many of the wonderful attractions Derbyshire has to offer including Bakewell, which can be reached in around 5 minutes, with its independent shops, tea shops, weekly farmers’ market, and of course the Bakewell pudding shop! Nearby is the exceptional Chatsworth House and Gardens, along with medieval manor house Haddon Hall.

Nearby is Buxton with its eventful Opera House, the Crescent Hotel which was recently opened boasting a 5-star spa and the pavilion Gardens, Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are both within easy reach, along with numerous National Trust Properties, Parks and Gardens, and delightful historic market towns and villages.

Medieval Haddon Hall and the old market town of Bakewell is a must and you can travel through Winnets Pass to the charming village of Castleton with its famous caves where the Blue John stone is mined. Take a tour by boat through these caves and learn about the history of the people and how they mined them. Matlock Bath and Alton Towers make great days out for families. There are plenty of activities to enjoy locally including inhouse clay pigeon shooting lessons (at cost, by arrangement with owner) and there is also golf and horse riding located within 5 miles of the property.
