    The Sycamores is a charming semi detached property situated on a quiet side street in the quaint village of Hunmanby on the stunning Yorkshire coastline just a short drive from the traditional seaside town of Filey. It is the perfect place from which to enjoy a relaxing Yorkshire holiday. Surprisingly spacious, and renovated throughout, this well presented bungalow has a real cosy feel to it and offers first class accommodation. The kitchen is well planned and offers a gas hob with an electric oven, dishwasher as well as a washer/dryer. There is even a comfy arm chair where you can take a seat, enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching someone else do the cooking. The large living/dining room sits to the front of the property and is flooded with natural light from the large picture window. A large sofa takes centre stage in front of the warming gas fire, an ideal spot to cosy up on during the evening to watch your favourite holiday movie on the large Smart TV. Along the corridor is the house bathroom with bath and shower over. The accommodation is completed by a double bedroom, slide open the cupboard doors and you’ll find the hidden TV or perhaps in the morning throw open the French doors and enjoy an early morning coffee before getting ready for the day ahead. To the rear of the enclosed garden is a sunken seating area with fire pit, a lovely space to sit and relax after a long day exploring the local area.
    Two miles away is the stunning Hunmanby Gap, a popular beach with locals, which offers a friendly café during the summer months. The delightful seaside town of Filey is a little further up the coast and has a variety of quaint tea rooms, restaurants and independent shops. Enjoy a stroll along the promenade with its brightly painted beach huts, ornamental gardens and cafés, or wander down to the coble landing, with its fishing boats and seafood stalls. The Sycamores offers easy access to the Cleveland Way, which is a 109 mile footpath across the moors and along the coast of the North York Moors, with many interesting sites and historical buildings to enjoy on the way. A visit to this area would not be complete without a walk to the nearby Flamborough headlands or an afternoon at the Bempton RSPB Reserve.     Tigh Na Mara or ’House by the Sea’ is one of four holiday cottages in Hunmanby Gap owned by a local Yorkshire family.     Step inside and be greeted by a beautiful beach scene, behind which is the large living/dining room which offers stunning sea views. The settees are well placed to enjoy some warmth from the electric fire during the cooler months, but also provide the perfect spot to sit with a coffee or glass of wine and just enjoy the beautiful view. One of the settee’s doubles as a sofa bed providing extra sleeping for two. The dining table sits to the rear of the room and provides plenty of seating for eight. The kitchen is bright and airy and also offers sea views.     Take the glass panelled staircase to the first floor and here you will find the master double bedroom. The vaulted ceiling and low doorway leading through to an en-suite bathroom really add to its character. Fold open the Velux window and step outside onto a small hidden balcony; the sea view from up here is simply stunning. A perfect spot for an early morning coffee! To the front of the property is a pretty cottage garden with borders packed with summer flowers. To the rear is an enclosed, dog-friendly garden with neatly trimmed lawn and seating, perfect for an al fresco breakfast.

    A short walk down the hill is where you will find a quaint dog-friendly café and the beach is just beyond. A short drive away is the pretty seaside town of Filey and the harbour port of Scarborough. Both towns offer lovely walks along promenades and a plethora of seaside attractions, tea rooms, restaurants and shops.
