Welcome to Mission Room Cottage, a charming, detached stone cottage with a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary style situated in a picturesque dales village. Part of the Bolton Estate, Wensley has an excellent pub, conveniently close to the cottage, a beautiful church, and should it be needed, a good bus link to the market town of Leyburn, less than 2 miles away.
The cottage, upside down by design, has a ground floor double bedroom with en-suite shower room, perfect for a couple. Upstairs is a stylish, open plan living area with vaulted ceilings, windows to both sides and roof lights making this a pleasant light filled space. Externally is a lovely south facing garden, perfect to enjoy a morning coffee or glass of wine at the end of your day. Guests are welcome to bring one dog, although please note the garden is not enclosed. To the front of the cottage is parking for one car.
Please note the external staircase is mainly decorative. The main entrance to the cottage is on the ground floor, with internal staircase to the first floor. Wensley is conveniently placed to explore beautiful Wensleydale, enjoying stunning panoramic views towards Pen Hill and far-reaching views across the surrounding dales. For outdoor enthusiasts, there are some superb walking and cycling trails available direct from the door, making this a perfect base from which to explore the pretty Dales villages. Bikes can be stored in the shed in the garden. Fishing is also available very nearby on the Estate, subject to purchasing the necessary day tickets and environment licences. The bustling market town of Leyburn is nearby, with its market square and quaint local shops, cafés, traditional pubs, and a weekly farmers’ market. Stroll along the famous Leyburn Shawl, a few steps from the Market Place and accessible for walkers of all abilities and ages.

Starfall has an enviable elevated position overlooking the Upper Falls at Aysgarth. Located in the former mill building by the River Ure at one of the National Park’s most renowned beauty spots.The property has been restored by its new owners to provide comfortable accommodation for two people. Offering a unique experience, this first floor apartment is a joint venture with its neighbouring Yore Mill Craft Shop and Gallery opened by the owners in July 2021. Large windows look out over the Upper Falls and it is unlikely that there are many finer views out of a gallery window in Yorkshire or beyond. The Gallery showcases the talents of local artists and makers and inspirational courses take place regularly and will be available on request to guests. The apartment takes its name from the dark skies and beautiful star gazing opportunities the location offers. Guided tours and equipment will be available on request at the Gallery. Nearby, Freeholders’ Wood Local Nature Reserve, an ancient semi-natural woodland, hosts the Planet Trail in October as part of the Yorkshire Dales Dark Skies Fringe Festival and again for the dark Skies Festival in February through to March. Heading out and about to explore, Starfall is perfectly situated to visit the superb waterfalls with other many walks in the area taking in the surrounding woods or heading up to the picturesque villages of Carperby or Aysgarth. Penthwaite is a luxury detached, stone built property with a contemporary styled interior. The ground floor opens into an impressive living space with large picture windows, central staircase and open glazed gallery. There is a spacious, light filled dining room, with seating for 8 people with a living area and bespoke study area off. Settle down on one of two comfy sofas, to enjoy the glorious views, or switch on the Smart TV and tune in to your favourite films. The spacious boot room/utility just off the living area has ample space for your coats and boots.

To the rear of the property, is a large contemporary style kitchen with fully integrated appliances, inviting you to rustle up a tasty brunch or supper. A smaller snug area with a TV, just off the kitchen, doubles up as a relaxing space to curl up with a glass of wine.

All bedrooms are en-suite with high quality tiling, fixtures and fittings. The master with double bed, is a very pleasant room, with a Velux roof light allowing plenty of natural light. Bedroom two has a double bed, and from this room, there is one small step outside then level access directly to the side patio. Bedroom three has a single cabin bed with pull out single bed underneath. All bedrooms have vaulted ceilings with remote controlled Velux windows.
