Set within the grounds of the owners’ non-working farm, The Cottage offers a sense of exclusivity and privacy, allowing you to immerse yourselves in tranquillity and peace.
As you step into the property, you’ll be charmed by its tasteful decor, with furniture mainly sourced from the renowned OKA collection, creating an ambiance of elegance and comfort. The property is all on one level located on the ground floor. The living room beckons with its snug ambiance, boasting a Smart TV with Sky for your entertainment. Curl up on the comfortable seating or gather around the additional dining table, while the crackling woodburner creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The kitchen is a culinary haven, featuring Kitchen Aid appliances and a dining table where you can enjoy delightful meals together. French doors lead to the garden and an exciting games room, where entertainment knows no bounds. Unwind in front of the Sky TV or wood burner, challenge each other to a friendly game of pool, table tennis, or darts, and explore an array of board games for delightful evenings spent together. Retreat to the master bedroom, featuring a plush kingsize bed. If you’re traveling with a little one, a travel cot can be requested. The bathroom offers a walk-in shower, ensuring a refreshing start to your day.
Outside, the enchanting garden invites you to relax, lay back and stargaze on the comfortable seating or dine al fresco. Stay warm on cooler evenings with the firepit or indulge in ultimate relaxation in the brand-new hot spring hot tub. We happily welcome two small (or one big), well-behaved dogs to join you on your countryside adventure. Although we kindly ask that your furry friend remains on a lead in the garden, they can freely explore the 5-acres of private woodlands and paddocks which is fully enclosed to roam freely.
Explore the wonders close by, Mendip Springs golf course is next door. Prepare to be awe-inspired as you venture into the world-famous Cheddar Gorge. For a change of scenery, head to the enchanting Chew Valley Lakes, a tranquil haven for nature lovers. If you’re craving adventure and exhilaration, the Mendip Activity Centre is your ultimate destination. Test your skills and push your limits with a range of thrilling activities such as rock climbing, archery, and off-road biking. Within an hour’s drive, you can reach Bristol and Bath. Explore Glastonbury’s Abbey and Tor, Wells’ cathedral and Bishop’s palace, or Cheddar’s famous caves and gorge. All within 30 minutes and promising delightful adventures. Welcome to Bridge Cottage, a beautiful riverside haven set in the hamlet of Henley, close to the town of Langport. As the electric gates open you will get a glimpse into the large private garden, as you drive around the corner Bridge Cottage will be waiting for you. Inside, on the ground floor, you enter into the large boot room and hallway, to the right you will find the spacious and welcoming kitchen/dining room, which is extremely well equipped with all you will need to create everything from the simplest meal to a sumptuous feast. The living room has gorgeous, beamed ceilings, comfy sofas to sink into are centered around the wood burner, perfect for cosy evenings after a day exploring. The cinema room has a large corner sofa, 75” Smart TV and sound system, so close the blinds and snuggle up to watch a blockbuster movie!
Upstairs, each bedroom has been lovingly decorated in its own unique style. The master bedroom has fabulous river views, double bed, dressing area, TV and en-suite shower room. Bedroom two has twin beds, TV and river views. The further three bedrooms are all doubles with a TV in each. The main family bathroom has a dual ended bath, separate shower cubicle and heated towel rail. Outside, the large garden is mainly lawned and has a fabulous patio area with comfortable garden furniture, the ideal spot for al fresco dining. To the rear of the garden, you have the games house, with table tennis and dartboard, many hours will be spent here having friendly (or very competitive) tournaments! There is a further chilled summerhouse that has spectacular views along the river and is the ideal space for some relaxed reading or a drink of your favourite tipple!
You have gated access to the River Cary and during the summer you can take rowing boat for a paddle along the river! There are many walks to be enjoyed directly from Bridge Cottage or head over to Langport, park up the car and walk the Parret Trail along the River Parret and enjoy the local shops and restaurants in Langport. For a dose of ancient history, head to Glastonbury with its Medieval Tor and eclectic mix of shops. For the bargain hunters among you, Clarks Village in Street with its designer outlet is a must visit! The beaches of Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare are within an easy drive away for a dose of traditional seaside fare!

These attractive holiday properties lie in the peaceful conservation village of Colerne, surrounded by rolling countryside. The Grade II* listed stable conversion (PFFH) is part of the only longhouse in Wiltshire and dating back to the 13th century, is the oldest house in the village. Beautifully refurbished to offer all modern conveniences, yet retains charm and character. Sympathetically converted, the detached, single-storey barn (PHHF) offers light and airy, contemporary accommodation. Colerne has a good selection of shops and pubs but only a short bus journey, 7 miles, will take you into Bath and Chippenham. Old Farm is a stunning Barn conversion in Southwood, just outside of Glastonbury. Converted to an extremely high standard in 2021, it’s the perfect base from which to explore Somerset. Drive past the orchard and enter through the gates into your private driveway where Old Farm awaits you, through the large Oak front door the bright and airy living space opens in front of you to welcome you in. The central open plan living space has beautiful large doors opening to the garden, a wood burner for those cosy evenings and sumptuous furnishings to allow you to relax into whilst watching TV or chilling with a glass of your favourite tipple. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine as well as everything else you will need to whip up a fantastic dinner or just a simple breakfast. There is also a sitting room with large floor to ceiling windows, you can also sleep up to two extra guests on the sofa bed in here. Off the open plan living area you will find the fabulous bedrooms, both have double beds, hairdryers and en-suite bathrooms. Outside you have your private garden, with outdoor seating area and fantastic views across the fields.
There are fabulous walks in all directions that can be taken from the doorstep, whilst the towns of Glastonbury and Street are just under 15 minutes drive away. Glastonbury, famous for its festival and ancient legends, has a great mix of eclectic shops and larger stores whilst Street is well known for its outlet shopping centre, Clarks Village, where designer bargains are to be found! Within an hour’s drive you have a wealth of National Trust properties to explore as well as fun days out at the likes of Longleat and Haynes Motor Museum.

Exmoor National Park and the Quantock Hills are well worth a visit, as well as a trip to the south to explore the Jurassic Coast between Seaton and Bridport, taking in Lyme Regis. Inland, there is Clarkes Village for some retail therapy, Glastonbury Tor, Somerset Levels, Cheddar Gorge and the spa city of Bath. After spending the day exploring many attractions, return to this delightful property and snuggle up in front of the woodburner, set in a lovely inglenook with bread oven. Beach 20 miles. Set between the Ancient Medieval town of Glastonbury and England’s smallest City Wells with its wonderful Farmers Market on a Wednesday and Saturday as well as it’s bustling continental café culture, there is an endless list of things to do while staying at Katy. For the keen cyclists there are endless routes along the Somerset levels and bike store with freezer is provided at the cottage. From your front door you are surrounded by countryside walks, nature reserve as well as the well renowned local pub The Sheppey, within walking distance, where you may even spot a famous face or two while sampling the fabulous menu. Head to Street for some retail therapy at Clarks Village, spend a day in Cheddar with its famous Gorge or perhaps meet the Witch of Wookey at Wookey Hole Caves!

Coachmans Close is a wonderful cottage in the heart of the quintessential countryside in the village of Milverton. The beautiful cottage is set on a secluded road, all on one level making it perfect for families of all ages. As you enter the driveway the cottage hugs the courtyard and private garden in an L shape. Through the front door to the hallway you have the living room to your left with its parquet flooring and open fire. From here you will find the fully-equipped kitchen benefitting from a Nespresso Coffe Machine (please note guests will need to bring their own pods), with wonderful views across the fields. One of the double bedrooms has views of the courtyard and a gorgeous shower room adjacent with a large walk-in shower with a fabulous rainfall shower head. The master bedroom has French doors which open onto the courtyard. Outside the courtyard has a seating area and the winding path leads to the lawned garden and views over the fields and hills ahead. To the side of the cottage, there is a veranda which is the perfect spot to watch the sunset from and views of the countryside. There are walks in every direction directly from the front door.
Milverton has a shop full of local produce and everything you need, as well as one gastro pub, both just a few minutes walk from the property. Further afield you have the market town of Taunton with its larger stores, restaurants and entertainment facilities such as cinema and bowling alley. For a fun day out why not spend the day riding the rails on the West Somerset Steam Railway from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead, spend a couple of hours by the sea before a leisurely chug back to base. Exmoor National Park is reachable in under 20 minutes’ drive with its miles and miles of walks, perfect for a day’s rambling. Beach 16 miles. Shop 350 yards, pub and restaurant 700 yards.
