South Barrow, EnglandOn the outskirts of South Barrow and set in a peaceful scenic country location between Castle Cary and Yeovil, these two single-storey barn conversions, The Cottage (ref 27191) and The Barn (ref UKC2481) make ideal bases from which to explore south and central Somerset. The Monarchs Way long distance footpath passes just in front of the barns and there are many organised tours, walks and listed footpaths within the immediate area, in the Mendip Hills and along the Somerset Levels. Glastonbury Town Trail and Glastonbury Rural Walk can be followed with ease. Attractions in Glastonbury include climbing up the tor for magnificent views, the Chalice Well and Rural Life Museum, the high street itself encompassing the myths, legends and spiritual ambience of the town, as well as the famous abbey. The city of Wells with its cathedral and Bishops Palace is within a 20-minute drive, as are The Royal Bath and West Showground at Shepton Mallet and Wookey Hole Caves.
